This is definitely mine and my husband's absolute favorite steakhouse. Depending on what you get it can be a little pricey (not quite as pricey as another well-known steakhouse in town), but WELL worth the cost - their steaks are hands down AMAZING! The filets are absolutely to die for - so tender and juicy and ALWAYS cooked perfectly. (Get it medium rare, it is THE best!) Honestly, ANY steak you order here will be wonderful, you can't go wrong. Even the sirloins are MUCH better quality than any other casual dining restaurant you'll find. I like that there is a case displaying all the steaks as you walk in the door, and you can pick out your own steak from the display case if you want. The fried pickles are amazing, and the rolls with cinnamon butter are so delicious, I just love them! Their Perfect Margarita is fantastic, too. I think it's the best in town. Both the food and the cocktails here are always very consistent. My husband & I have eaten here many, many times over the years, and not once have we ever had a bad experience. If you love a great steak, this is definitely the place to go. I will say that it IS usually crowded here, and can get quite noisy. The staff was not very friendly! We asked for a table away from other people so I could nurse my baby comfortably and they said that "they couldn't move us but I can feed her in the bathroom". I'll feed my daughter in the bathroom when they eat in a bathroom. Very rude! The rest of the night we were treated as a nuisance. We will not be going back! read more

This is one of my favorite places,the food is always great the service is also great,the only thing I dont like is it is now non smoking not even in bar area.Sorry but as a smoker I have rights also,I personally think you should close the bar,drinking kills people, cant remember last time someone had a wreck from smoking a cigarette.Will still visit here just not 4-5 times a month anymore. read more

My family came here to celebrate several birthdays. My niece drove in from Texas to celebrate her birthday and she choose this place. We tried to call to ensure that we would have seating for 19 of us. We have been to this very restaurant over the last decade with just as many people if not more, with no problem getting seated together. Not only did the rude host tell use we could not be seated together, but that we could not split any checks, and would not be seated even in the same area of the restaurant. They sat my sister (who was recently was diagnosed with a recurrance of cancer) completely across the restaurant where there were empty tables where the rest of us could have been seated, but sat the rest of us on the opposite side of the restaurant! The service from start to finish was abysmal, save for one server who agreed that we were treated rudely! When my niece complained, the manager (same guy that was the rude host) continued to be rude and never apologized! I have never been that impressed with Texas Roadhouse and this experience was so horrible that I will never ever return to that restaurant again! If I could give zero stars I would...the food was a solid "meh"! I would have rather gone to Taco Casa where we would have been treated better and been able to sit in the same area...we should have done that instead...I am disgusted my money went to that restaurant! Service has continued to be a disappointment. This is our 3rd time here. All on Friday so I realize it's one of their busiest nights but they know that as well. Hostess is always nice and that's where is stopped this evening. Our waitress couldn't get our order correct and we didn't order anything unusual or have any special requests. She didn't attempt any genuine greeting, offer drinks or appetizer. We had to ask her for every drink refill, to pick up plates, and after sitting for 10 minutes, we finally found her to request our bill. This restaurant is close to our house and we loved the Texas Roadhouse in Nashville so that's why we started coming here. Not so sure we'll be back since this quality of service seems to be their standard. read more

The past several times we have dined here the steaks have been over cooked. Major let down as you can imagine especially since today was special cause it was my husband's Birthday. We never complain because we try not to be those people. But my complaint today is primarily the manager Brittany Razor, she needs to receive customer service training. I have been in customer service for 20yrs and she is the worst manager i have ever experienced. We explained about our over cooked steaks today and how this has been an issue that last few times we have gone there. She instead of being truly sympathetic to our experience, she proceeded to give excuses that the cook is still traing and how she tries to keep an eye on him, but she is overwhelmed bouncing back and fourth since she had two people call in. Ok, customer service 101: The average customer drops $50-$100 or more to eat there. They want their steak cooked right and don't care about your problems. Obviously she cannot handle the pressure. So our server Holly was amazing. And the serving staff was great it's not them I am upset with. I have been coming here for years but never have i had a large party. I have worked at restaurants for on and off 10 Years, so I know how things worked and I was very disappointed. I called in at 3 to let them know it will be between 8-14 people but ill have exact number later and ill call and let them know . Well he told me to call back a hour before I came because they don't do reservations they do call a heads. Okay when we do call a heads if it is a larger party then of course we would put them down and put them in a nice place for the party where they were together. I mean i could have just showed up but I called anyway so there was that. We get there it's only 9 at this point and 8 of the 9 were there and they told us we had to wait 30 minutes to be sat anyway so we had to wait for the 9th person. He told us the only table they had available would sit 8 people and they couldn't push a Chair up to it....okay then... they said they could sit us but a wall would separate us...im sorry what. No. I understand call a head is not a reservation but that was ridiculous, when a party calls you don't basically treat them like crap. Oh and then they sit us. 2 booths across from each other. Would have understood if they were busy, but they weren't. They sat us and right by where we were there were 3 tables that could have sat 12...and we all could have sat together, so why could we not sit together? Worst experience ever, I wish I had his name but I can't remember but I know he was the one I talked to on the phone and when I got there. So word to the wise guys, if you have more then 6 don't even bother, they won't accommodate to you. read more

I would of rated the food at least a four. Took my wife kids and grandkids there for wife's birthday. Service was very poor all the way from the start to the finish. We all had different selection of food and it all seemed to be very good. Don't know what the issue was with service. We came early on a Sunday and they were sort of busy, but wait was only 10 minutes. I would go again and hopefully get a different server. read more

We went to this location today. When we were seated we did not receive any bread, our order was taken when the food was delivered by someone other than our waitress. We were half way through our meal when she came to ask if we needed anything, I said we need steak sauce since there is not any at our table. Wow, I have never had such bad service in my life. My favorite hometown bar has turned into what I believe was a drug filled employee paradise. I'm taking my girlfriend to a nice restaurant on her birthday. The hostess was nice, and got our rolls. I'd have to say that was the only pleasant experience. The waitress was a older lady and acted as if she'd rather be somewhere else. Even though we were her only customers at the bar tables. She got our drinks-still no silverware for the Rolls/Butter. I ordered two top shelf T-Bone steaks at $21 a piece. Still no silverware. My sides? Baked potato and a Salad. She asked what I wanted on it. Lettuce, cheese, tomato. Come to find out she was asking what kind of dressing that I wanted-yeah that would be thousand island. I've already got lettuce on my salad thank you....of course I didn't say that. I was being polite. When our steaks came they were fatty and not as thick as I would have thought a $21 T-bone steak would have been . When she put my girlfriends plate on the table she almost threw it in her lap . Mine she just kept saying "hot hot hot" . Don't use your hands woman, use a pot holder/waiters towel-something. She walked passed us afterwards and asked, "how is everything-can I get you anything" so she walked on by at top speed as we were going to tell her that "Everything was great", NOT! Last but not least we asked for our check . The total $51.23 I gave her $60.00 she takes the cash and said " thank you for coming hope you enjoyed your meal . Have a great night ". She never returned with my change . I never said keep the $9.00 as a tip. She went to the register got our change then proceeded to turn her back to us . Ignoring my gestures to come back to the table to the point my girlfriend whistled the cattle call for everyone to hear . She came back . I proceeded to say I'd like my change please. She replied oh I'm sorry I thought ... then started to mumble I thought that was mine . She hung around like a buzzard for about 15 more min while we sat and chatted after our meal . Needless to say she received NO tip. This is my first time never leaving a tip, and I always leave a 20%tip here. As I was leaving, I looked back at the kitchen, and the cooks looked like they come off of the work release program that shelby county has. But hey, don't take my word for it, go see for yourself. Also, when getting the to go bags for the steaks, the waitress's kept taping her nose. Really? Are you friggin kidding me!!! Also I have a feeling she's done this too other patrons as well. Great dinner tonight! Our waiter was so friendly and attentive. No problem leaving a generous tip for him! My steak was perfectly cooked and was delicious! The lettuce in the salad could have been a little more fresh and my baked baked potato could have stayed in the oven a little longer. Still had no problem eating them, though!
