the waiter John was amazing, he was really nice and didn't come off as rude or anything! But under the tables was dirty. When I sat down we were almost served a dirty plate, with a ton of sauce stains. When I got a cheeseburger, it was super greasy and it fell right apart. I got a side of Mac n cheese and that was the only great food thing in my eyes. I really wouldn't recommend but hey apparently they have good steak? Husband wanted steak, so we thought we give TRH another dinner date. Fell in love with their bread the first time we were here. Came early on a Sunday so it wasn't busy. Got seated really fast. Ordered our drinks and was hoping to get a bucket of peanuts but nope. That's ok, we got the bread. Got our orders in, waited for about 30 mins. Food came out ok. Platter combo - potato was very salty. After we got our meals, 5-10 mins later, our waitress dropped the bill for us on the table. Uhhhh, last time I check, this wasn't Norms or Denny's restaurant. Kind of odd, because non of the other table she served, for their bills until the end. Last time we were here, we didn't get the bill after we asked for it. THEN, she took the basket of breads to the back kitchen. The one we weren't finish yet. The ones we touched! And she just take em and bring em back to the kitchen. Now I'm wondering! Seriously, we felt rushed. Dinner became tasteless. Paid the bill and just call it a night. Don't know if we'll come back. Food wait time is not fast enough. read more

Love TX Roadhouse steaks. Parents and I ate there the night of 2/7/2018, packed. Waited 55 minutes to be seated and another 1.30 minutes for the food (they goofed up on our order) -- no complaints there (mistakes happen). Here is the thing...love the food, the loudness of music overhead is too overstimulating (I would say for anyone)...unable to hear my parents speak, unable to hear the servers ask their questions, etc. etc. Ambulance picked up a female customer while we were waiting to be seated and not an hour later, the person next to my booth had a seizure; LOUD NOISE CAN TRIGGER A SEIZURE AND OTHER MEDICAL ISSUES TO OCCUR (perhaps this is why 2 incidents in 2.5 hours?#**!#?) I love music..even loud music, but TX Roadhouse (that particular night) -- the noise was overbearing, so disappointed. Still, I'll be back and that's how much I like the food. Hopefully, the beautiful sound of music over the speakers will be more tolerable to my ears. read more

I live in the area so I'm in the habit of coming every 2-3 weeks with my 5 year old. At Christmas I decided to buy into a promo and purchased a 100$ gift card to get a "bonus" card. Apparently the $20 enhancement card is worthless because I put $14 on it and they threw it away with 6 dollars left because it's a "one time use" card. I asked for the manager and she offered no solution other than apology and excuses about the terrible rules and regs. I won't be back. This is the worst Texas Roadhouse ever. Ordered a medium cooked ribeye. They brought out a medium rare. Server took it back. The manager brought out another steak 20 minutes later. It was well done. Sent it back and after another 25 minutes, same manager brought another well done steak. So after waiting an hour for my steak, I gave up. Plan on really long waits and inaccurate wait times from the staff when you arrive. The staff though, is very nice. The free rolls are warm and buttery. The sides were great. The ribs tasted a little over done. It pretty loud in there so plan on yelling so others at your table can hear. The food and staff though aren't enough to justice a 2 hour visit. read more

I go here a lot, and I've never really had exceptional service. I came in with my family today and I was shocked at how well our server took care of us. Like I kid you not, probably the best service we've had in years from any restaurant! Peyton took amazing care of us, he was nice, entertaining, and extremely efficient. We literally didn't have to ask for anything because he was on top of it! Our drinks were always full and so was our bread basket! The food came out very well also. Everything came exactly as we ordered. The manager on the floor today was also very nice. She came and introduced herself to the table and was very nice the whole time we were there. We have visited the Prosper location a number of times now that we moved from Mckinney to Prosper and have always experience an excellent service. Rachel has coincidentally been our waitress a number of times and has done an excellent job. She is a hard worker, a very friendly pleasant girl with a beautiful smile at all times. Our last visit we had Payton as our waiter and also received excellent service. He was also a friendly and very pleasant person to have as a waiter. Just like any other restaurant, As many people as Texas Road House serves, eventually, someone is not going to get the best service possible due to many factors. Great service, but still new place, so a little disjointed in their operations. The fries were underdone and the steak, while perfectly cooked, was ok. Not great. However, I will come back as the "casual steakhouse" is becoming rarer around here with Logan's and Texas Land and Cattle all closing. read more

Mother's Day / waited a while for a seat but steaks, burgers, salads and bread were amazing. Our waitress Celeste did a great job!

It's so hit and miss here. Tonight took 15+ minutes to even be acknowledged. 2 entrees took over 45 minutes to come out, and my med rare ribeye was well done. The replacement took another 20 minutes and had to take it to go. No concession on the bill, manager just dropped off the to go and walked off. Tried to speak with them at the end of the meal, but after another 8 minute wait we gave up. read more

However, I just spent over $40 on food and they won't give me more than 6 rolls for my family. So stingy. Went there for lunch today and it was AMAZING as always. Ribs and rolls are always perfect. Tried the prime rib for the first time and it was melt in your mouth and full of flavor. We are frequent visitors of TR (121 Carrollton or Mckinney 75) and we have never been disappointed..this location requires some improvement and training of the kitchen staff on the preparation and differences between medium rare and well done. My steak was well done and I ordered medium rare, my husband ordered well done and his was rare but we didn't send them back. My son in law did send his back and after the 3rd time gave up and didn't eat, ordered medium rare and all were well done. Cooking is the reason for the low rating. Our two waiters were awesome and for a large group did a nice job. If you are expecting a steak cooked to perfection then this is not the location to visit, if your going to eat appetizers, have fun, and loud conversation this is your place. read more

Giving up on this place. These can't cook a steak correctly. My wife and I have been here 3 times in three weeks. Each time we ordered the same thing (Ft Worth or Sirloin, Medium). Each times they come out either rare or well done. They can't even get the two pieces ordered at the same time to the same temperature. Messed up my drink order and overcharged me for it. One time, brought out our steaks before our salads/appetizers. Each time, manager comes over to apologize, but does not offer any incentive for us to ever come back. read more

the service here is absolutely ridiculous. they have a sign that says to wait outside, its 100+ degrees outside, of course no one has the courtesy to actually wait outside (i dont really blame them) but then everyone is piled on top of each other inside and you can barely move without touching someone accidentally. if youre going to have a rule, enforce it. great service starts at the door, i havent even be seated yet and im furious. im here to celebrate my aunt and uncles anniversary and was told it would be a 20-30 minute wait, its been over an hour. personally, im never coming back here again. i truthfully dont care how nice the server is or how good the food is. i will never bring my business here again all because the front is so poorly ran. the plaques on the walls mean absolutely nothing because the awards they got do not show the meaning or accomplishment they fulfill. get it together before you lose all of your business. read more

Horrible experience at this location. We have been eating at Texas Roadhouse locations for a long time. Always a great experience with fabulous food and outstanding customer service. That is until last night, February 6, 2019. We ordered our meals, I ordered a filet cooked medium. After about 40 minutes our wonderful server Shauntel apologized and said she had no idea what was taking so long to get food at 8pm in the evening. We said no problem, nice of her to keep us informed. Finally the food came, my medium filet like a well done hockey puck. I was going to let it go but she came and asked and I said, well it's way over cooked, so she offered to get another. My boyfriend was now finished with his meal when the manager Brandon came by and asked how everything was. I responded I'm waiting for a steak. He ran to the kitchen then came out with it and said cut into it. He was standing very impatiently over me and I cut it and said oh wow, it's now rare. He gave me a look so I said it'll do. I realized after a bite there was no way I could eat this. Shauntel then said I'm going to have it taken off the bill. I asked will you bring me a box and I'll cook it tomorrow. She said sure. The bill came and she stated Brandon said if I'm taking the steak I have to pay! Lol... wow I basically told Her to give him the steak,it wasn't worth it. He grabbed it from her and threw it away. Then gave me a very snarky oh sorry. This guy should never have Become a manager, no clue about customer service. If it wasn't for our lovely waitress I think we both would have gone off a little on him but instead will never visit this location and we will be sure to tell all our Proper friends and family to avoid as well! read more

Lack of customer service. Placed a order at 7:45 and arrived at 8:05 when it said it would be ready. I was told to go back to my car and then they'd page me. I came back in at 8:25 to find my food sitting there and guy tried to explain to me that it just came out. As I walked to the to-go counter the second time about 6 other employees were standing there talking to the to-go person. Also while the guy was talking to me he pulled down his mask and in this day I do not feel comfortable being around that. I will not be back. read more

The food, as usual, was delicious. For that reason, two stars. Our waiter was personable, yet when we asked him when our food would arrive, he just said, "I know, I hear you. I checked and your food tray is not even being prepared yet." He did offer bread, but we were already on our 4th basket, so how about offering a salad? We were seated at 6:01, ordered as soon as the waiter arrived, and did not see any of our food order until 7:30. And even then, my salad did not arrive until I had to ask for it. The manager came over one time to say they were backed up and still did not offer anything, like a salad. Over 30 minutes later our food arrived. I asked to see the manager again and she never showed up. The waiter asked me, "why do you want to see her, she won't do anything, nothing will change." Such POOR customer service!! I watched 5 tables be seated after us, one 15 minutes after we arrived, eat, and leave before we had even been served our food. I asked the waiter about it and he just shrugged his shoulders and said, "I know. I know." REALLY?!? I am disappointed in the way that restaurant was handling the situation last night. I will NEVER go back there. I will continue to go the one in the The Colony, but never Prosper! The restaurant is very poorly managed. read more

Please pay your takeout staff fairly. There is never a need to ask for a tip in the process and 75% of people don't tip on take out. I am a very good tipper when I sit down in a restaurant and I'll provide a couple of dollars for you handing me the bag if you check the order and are prompt on take out. However when I have to walk to your door to pick up my food ( no curbside) and you ask if I want to add a tip 3 times... I'm not giving you a tip. Which only leaves me to wonder, isn't roadhouse making enough to pay their people so they don't need tips for take out? read more

I really enjoyed my dinner here with my family tonight! Our waitress was really nice and I appreciated the fact that the manager was going from table to table to see how everyone was doing. I will say though as advice and maybe something y'all should work on is when the waiters and waitresses refill drinks to not rest the pitcher of water or whatever on top of our drinks. Our waitress did that and I noticed my straw was touching the lip of the pitcher she was pouring my drink into :/ I took my straw out and used a different one but yeah- if y'all could just go over that in a team meeting or something that would be great! read more

We arrived on a Saturday about 4:30pm and sat at the bar. The place was busy and by the time we left was extremely busy. The servers are all young and very nice. Sitting at the bar got us fast drinks, but the food was served very very slow. It took much longer than necessary. We should have been out of there 45 min sooner. We had Potato skins, grilled shrimp, fillet medallions, pulled pork and sirloin steak. The prices are fine, food adequate and service friendly but could use some help from a manager who has some experience helping to organize the "kids" and get that food out much sooner. Our steaks were not a piping hot as they should have been. I'd be hard pressed to go back there again any time soon. It's a new location, so give them a few more months to iron it out. read more
