My wife and I arrived hungry and thirsty. We had never been in a Texas Roadhouse. We were very pleased with the service, the great food (we got the classic roadkill meal and a salmon Roadhouse salad), both perfectly done to our request. The place really filled up around 5pm, but they offer reserve ahead and take out. This is a real happening place because of the service, the manager leading by example - way to go Chris!!, and the customers who come to have a great time. What a place to celebrate a birthday! Every time I try to call and place an order to go they take forever to answer their phone

The service here was terrible. That's the easiest way of saying it. It starts with the hostess who where more interested in talking with each other then helping guests. After a couple minutes and me having to elevate my voice so they hear me they get my wife and I on the waiting list. After waiting an Hour instead of the 30-45 minutes originally told to us our buzzer finally goes off and we walk back to the host stand. Again all 3 or 4 hosts where talking. To each other and looked at me like I was bothering them when I elevated my voice over the music that my buzzer went off. The host then preceded to take us to our table with no sense of urgency. My wife and I were trying to not step on her heals as we shuffled to our table. We finally get to the table and there is still beer bottle and glasses on the table! What!? I grab them to hand them to the hostess and was informed she couldn't touch em. I understand that because it's state law if she's under 18 she can't pick up alcohol glasses but how do we get seated at an unclean table! We finally order our food and our salads come out but lo and behold we don't have silverware. We sit in front of our salads for about 8 min before I finally get a servers attention to get silverware. Eventually our dinner makes it our and the food was ok. We probably won't be back. Customer service stunk so we will probably drive into Frisco, McKinney or stay in Celina and eat at a hole in the wall then go back here. read more

I am a Texas Roadhouse fan, except for this location. I will NEVER go back. The service is sooooooo slow!! It takes at least 40 minutes, if not longer, to get food. EVERY. SINLGE. TIME. Bar was slow and bartenders inattentive. I had to walk away and let my table server finalize the bar check. I help my card up to pay...... NO RESPONSE..... The bartender didn't even ask if I wanted another glass of wine. They didn't ask if I needed a glass of water. I felt I welcomed!! The server was awesome, but the bar ruined the experience. My mother and I ordered a bone in ribeye to share. They are huge. Our fried pickles were very good. We ordered medium rare. When our steak came, it was so rare I think it moved when I put my fork in it. Our server, Braylon, was amazing. He offered to take it back and cook it more. We asked for a new steak as we had cut it right at the bone. The manager came and we simply explained and a new steak arrived shortly. I believe they must have a new cook as the couple next to us had an extremely rare steak as well. My only problem is that another couple told us that Braylon was reprimanded. This was absolutely NOT his fault. He was a very attentive server. I understand that it is hard on a manager when something is wrong. Reprimanding the server who had nothing to do with cooking should not be worried about getting in trouble. As soon as he saw us cut into the steak, he knew it was too rare and he took it. We even used a gift card, but tipped him accordingly. He deserved even more than we tipped. But, the food is good and the servers are even better. Hopefully it was just an off night for the cook. Every staff member was so friendly! Our waitress, Jackie, noticed everything! She saw that the food runner did not bring a sauce and a drink runner didn't bring a lime. The manager walked over too and said hi. Plus, literally every employee smiled and said either hi, excuse me, or thanks for stopping in. Been to this location many times and it's always the same, food is good but the service people are stupid, not rude, but just unintelligent. Almost all look/act like high school age and give that vide that they are just there for a pay check. Almost every visit it's something irritating but never really the same issues. We will get our drinks but no straws, ask for a straw and it take 5min before the wait comes back, ask us if we are ok and remembers they forgot. Or we will get our food and not see our waiter for 10min then be sitting with empty drinks and refills won't come till we are ready for the check. About 1 in 5 visits will we see a manager and always ask how we are doing before or just as we get our food so there isn't much to say anyway. Great food, just needs more seasoned employees and/or better management to train them read more

UPDATE: didn't think the evening could go much worse. We sat at a high top by the bar - not a huge deal I can sandwich the 23 month old between the adults and keep her from falling off the barstool. Then our salads never actually came - by the time we realized they weren't coming our food had already come so we told them at that point we were okay without them. Then dad goes to eat a peanut and finds trash in the peanut bucket. No croutons on the chicken Caesar salad entree - again not a huge deal, but adds to the snowball effect. Talk to manager and she tells us surely the hostesses weren't actually talking about us - invalidating the customer is not typically the best customer service technique. Then tells us she will comp the salads we didn't eat. Okay thanks.. but never offers anything in regards to how she intends to actually correct future problems, so doesn't give me hope for a future visit. Unfortunate since I work 12 hr shifts the next two days so this was my only Christmas with my family. Original: Probably one of the worst experiences we have had in a long time before ever even sitting to eat. My dad can't physically sit in a booth so we called and specifically asked for a table and not a booth. We wait 15-20 min on arrival and then get taken to a booth. We tell them that we cannot sit in a booth and we get put back on the waiting list for a table when another family who do not have physical limitations were sat at a table right after the booth debacle. They all say it's not their fault and can't give us a time on when a table is available. My kids were losing it because they have food (rolls) put before them and then taken away. No offer to speak to a manager, no offer of at least giving my kid a roll when asked.. nothing but a we'll see what we can do. If I gave that kind of service at my job I'd be written up. Very disappointed in the lack of care and compassion. Also doesn't help when the hostesses are talking about us to one another 10 minutes later while we are standing right there. Dad already feels bad enough that the kids are unable to eat. Completely uncalled for. *update - she did end up giving my mom two certificates for free dinner for two. Not sure we would use them if you have to use them at his location. We were using a gift card anyway so we don't care so much about the free meal as we do making sure this experience wouldn't be repeated and we weren't really given any assurance of that. read more

Took the family there when they came to visit. We all had a great steak dinner along with fantastic service.

The wait wasn't bad. Went to the bar and had good service. Talked to a couple next to us who ordered a steak which they split. It was very rare.. not to their liking unless you like your steak mooing. We were seated. Had a wonderful waiter. Very attentive. My knife wrapped with other utensils was dirty. He gave me another set. Unfortunately the knife in that one was even dirtier. Since our waiter, Braylon, was busy I showed it to someone else and I was given a very clean knife. Good! We're got our fried pickles appetizer, very good! Then we got our bone-in ribeye that we shared. It was mooing. The fat wasn't cooked. I cut into it and I couldn't eat it. We asked our waiter that we didn't want that one put back on the grill but a new steak put on the grill. It came out ok. We asked for the manager to let her know about the silverware and the steak. She was pleasant and accommodating. I appreciated her attitude and attention. If I had Braylon as our waiter I'd definitely go back. The restaurant is relatively new in that location so it may be going thru start-up pains. I'll try again. read more

Our initial take on TXRH wasn't great after a couple poor experiences, but we've eaten here a lot since they opened (both inside and take out) and we've come to like it. It's good food and it's very reasonably priced. They give a 50% discount off the meal if you're a veteran with proof of ID and it's close to home. Been to the Prosper Texas Roadhouse twice now in the last 30 days and found both the service and food to be excellent.

This location really puts the customer first. The restaurant was well thought out, with plenty of comfortable wait space for those busy evenings. When you are seated, the hostess brings a basket of rolls and cinnamon butter to your table. The staff worked the floor like they've been there for years, though this location has just opened recently. Our server, Elizabeth, was enthusiastic, pleasant, and always had a smile when she came to our table. The salad was just the right size and the steaks were done perfectly. We had a great experience and will return frequently. read more

I've been so excited for this new location to open right off 380. Waited 45 minutes to be seated, but that's typical at Texas Roadhouse, and they just opened. Caesar salad was so delicious, a little too much dressing but still very good. Steak was cooked absolutely perfect! Be patient - they have a very Junior staff. They brought out the wrong sides for one person, hamburger was wrong for another, steak under cooked for a third person. If you are keeping score they messed up 3 out of 4 entrees. To top the evening off the check was incorrect. Texas Roadhouse at its worst...went to a TRH q few years back and said I would never go again but tonight some friends talked me into it. We waited over an hour for a table, being told it would be 45 minutes, then 5 more, then 5 or 10 more. Finally got a table next to a group that was shouting continually, seemingly very drunk. Three children under 12 or 14 were sitting at the bar - several people mentioned it - as their families waited for a table. Finally got to order our meal - I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare but when it finally arrived it was so rare it was walking and talking. Waitress took it back but it never reappeared until after everyone was finished with their meal, at least 20 minutes, despite another waiter's assurance that "all the chefs are working on it." (WTH?). No offer to adjust the bill. Got about 2 bites before we had to leave, a below-average meal that took 3 hours. Turns out I was right about TRH I'm the first place. Won't be back again for sure this time. read more
