This Golden Corral used to be found at a different location at Rock Hill but moved to this address ( 2370 Cherry Road ) about 2 years ago. The restaurant is clean and bright. The staff is friendly and accomadating . One serves themselves except at the meat carving station. Food is very tasty, fresh and offered in a large selection and variety. There is something for everyone's taste including children and adults. There is also a separate party room available for private groups. The rest rooms are also very clean. If you enjoy basic home cooking and don't worry about salt content, and eat as much as you want ( but please dont waste ) and enjoy then do try dining here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Appears to be an newly renovated or just a new place, but I never will understand why the lack of care and maintenance, ambiance is good, same with food and service, but they need to have a night crew to clean the men's floors, stinks like few days of urine, also who decided that it was a good idea to do carpet tiles in dining area? Smells like a baby vomit everywhere, all the good of the ambience and food, got destroyed but the smell there. Just ate here again recently. The food in general is just ok and it is nice to have a variety. Some things are very good and some things are average. My main problem is that the dining area is disgusting. The sour smell from the carpet is repulsive. It smelled the same last time I was there. I just cant do this again. I have been to the Golden Corral several times. The food has always been wonderful! i especially love the pot roast as it is so tender and juicy. Lots of choices in meats, vegetables and yummy desserts. The waitresses have always been cheery and helpful. Went to the Golden Corral in Rock Hill SC at 5:20 tonight. After spending $35.71 for two adult buffets, we were severely dissatisfied with the quality, availability, and cleanliness of this restaurant. Hardly no food was out on the buffet, what was on the buffet was dried out and cold. Dessert buffet was filthy. Line cooks would not acknowledge, look or speak with us when asked questions. When I asked the manager on duty what time they opened for dinner, he said 4:00pm. After telling him about the quality and condition of the buffet, he never said anything but walked away and didn't come out from the back. The mens bathroom looked and smelled as though it hadn't been cleaned. So for only being open for dinner only 1 hr 20 min. and hardly anyone eating in the restaurant, it is obvious they left everything out from lunch! read more

Nov 2019 We went here before the 'the great shutdown' and enjoyed our Veteran's day meal. It was busy, great food, good service, and we would recommend it. Parking is hard to come by when it's a free day. So angry at your South Blvd location in Charlotte N.C. General Manager is horrible- charged full price after employee (terminated on the floor in front of guests) was running off at the mouth talking about she was not a babysitter in front of guests at the register. Assistant Manager Perry- told me to have a nice day after I attempted to complain to him about the bathrooms being disgusting with wet toilet paper covered floors in EVERY SINGLE STALL. Due to my very negative experience here, I am NOW boycotting ALL Golden Corral locations! I drove over 400 miles to spend my birthday with my nearly 92 year old Dad but, we had 2 terrible issues with this restaurant! My Dad was not allowed to bring his rollator (walker on wheels) into the dining area and he had to leave the unit by the door! He's nearly 92 years old and he needs the support in walking! The restaurant discriminated against him! I didn't mind getting his food for him but, it took away his right to choose what he wanted to eat and I had to guess. The server NEVER offered a refill on his drink either. I was discriminated against because I refused to pay nearly $8 for 2 oz. of food! I was not allowed to get a take out tray and eat with my Dad on my birthday celebration...I just had to sit there and watch him enjoy his lunch. Last year I had 85% of my stomach removed during gastric sleeve surgery so I can only eat a couple of oz. at each meal. I showed them my medical ID card that stated this fact but, they would not allow me to eat inside with my Dad! I refuse to support a business chain that is allowed to discriminate against people with disabilities! This place doesn't deserve even a 1 star. Me and my entire family will boycott this CHAIN until they can conform to ADA regulations! If you are handicapped, please go somewhere else so that you will be treated properly! read more

Had a quick break from weigh ins and what a good time for us to pick up food. Some Golden Corrals are really good and this was not one. Not that much variety on the bar and no scooped ice cream (which is the reason I came). My 12 year old son even commented how they didn't have much. We were there 12/17/17, we went to sit at a table that a server was still wiping down, as we put our water cups down, we and the server watched a German cockroach walk accross then clean table! She didn't seem to surprised. We promptly decided to not eat there because if there are bugs in the dinning area we can imagine how bad the kitchen is!!! We went to the register area to voice our disgust, and we were issued a credit on our card when we mentioned the cockroach, but the response from the manager was as if this happens all the time. I've been a fan of the Golden Corral for a very long time. Generally, there has always been an abundance of good food cooked well. I especially like the way the fried chicken seems to always be flavorful. When going for dinner, the steaks are generally good. Dinner is becoming a bit pricey for a weekly event. They are currently featuring ribs. The variety advertised is not always available. Lately there seems to be a big turn over in staff. I still look forward to future visits. read more

This is the old only Golden corral restaurant that I eat at. I was up at the salad bar one day and was extremely and pleasantly surprised to find the manager measuring the temperature of the different foods on the salad bar to make sure that they were properly refrigerated. As I've said in other postings, I've had food poisoning at five different restaurants throughout my life, and these things really do matter! Their food is always delicious. Because their food is so good and always the same quality that we've come to expect and never been disappointed, sometimes there's a line and you have to wait just a little bit. I think that's actually a good sign because if there's no cars in the parking lot that would be assigned me that I don't want to eat there. This place is always crowded. And they also have a private room for parties which is really nice. My dad was a paraplegic, and this particular Golden corral was always kind and allowed them (the spinal chord injury association that my dad was affiliated with) The use of the private room. Went to eat lunch with family, never seen such a poorly run buffet in my life... Long lines, just to discover that there is no food at the end of it, and once they do manage to get something out to the people waiting in line - it is undercooked... No clean plates available, had to wait for 20 minutes until something kid friendly appeared... Not sure if it is Sunday 2pm being the peak time, or it is specific to this location - but the experience was bad overall to the point that kids requested to never be back since they cannot eat anything / doesn't taste like it should... I found something hard as a rock in my brownie. I asked to speak with a manager. After 15mins the manager finally came out after I had to go and find one. She came to my table and told me their was know way it came from her restaurant and told me the reason why it took so long for her to come out and talk to me because she called her general manager first to let her know what was going on. She told me that black people are always in their trying to get free food and it is their policy to take everything that you people say with a grain of salt. Now I have already contacted my GM and you can talk to her when she comes back to work and just walked away. I was so in shock! Even before I noticed the hard object in my brownie I had went to the bathroom and there was feces rubbed on the wall that I almost backed up into thank God I didn't and the entire place was just dirty the food that they had out was sloppy thrown together nothing was kept up and made to look presentable. The female manager that came out looked sloppy, had bloodshot eyes and smelled of marijuana. I called the corporate office and still no one has gotten back to me this was almost 2 weeks ago. I took pictures of everything and I will be uploading them to Google, Yelp and any other social media publication I can think of because people need to know that when you go Golden Corralled they are not only racist and unprofessional but they are unsanitary and they are thieves they take your money they give you trash in return. This place is the best of any Golden Corral I have ever been in. They keep the restaurant spotless clean the buffet is well stocked with great tasting food and clean as well. The wait staff and cook staff are very kind and courteous. The people at the register are very nice to start off your visit. I drive 30 minutes to get to this place and There are 2 other locations that are closer that I skip over to go to this one particular Golden Corral. I give them 5 stars and keep up the great work! read more
