I placed a to-go order for pickup. The pickup experience was really easy. I received a text once my order was ready and I added my parking spot number. I only sat in my car for three minutes before the food was brought to me and it was pouring. As for the food, we ordered onion rings, fried chicken and a buffalo chicken wrap. The onion rings, surprisingly, traveled well. While they weren't hot by the time we ate them, they were still crispy. The buffalo chicken wrap was okay. I think they changed some of the ingredients to avoid the parasite outbreak. While I appreciated that, it just wasn't as good as it's been in the past. Last time we visited, I gave this place a positive four-star review. Unfortunately after our last visit, I'm not sure we'll be back soon. Considering we've even celebrated birthdays and other events here, the portion-sizes are much smaller than we recalled. I don't mind paying extra for quality since I recognize inflation has prices going up everywhere, but I don't think it's fair to price-gouge your customers for notably smaller portions. My partner's steak was small and very fatty. I paid extra for a loaded baked potato that was tiny and only had butter and sour cream on it. I got half the fish than all my previous visits and the rice was very, very greasy. Definitely not worth what I paid for because the only highlight was the spinach dip appetizer. But even that was expensive for a dip I could've made myself. We used to be regulars here, but I just don't feel like paying more for extra small portions and less quality meals. It's been a long time since we have dined here. We came in for a late lunch. To start, when we came into the restaurant, the Hostess not once smiled or said welcome to Cheddars or how are we doing, nothing! We asked to be seated in the bar area at a high top table. A young lady (not our server) promptly plopped down a basket containing two honey buttered croissants without uttering a word! Keep in mind that this place wasn't super busy at all. The restaurant's decor is pretty, it has this huge fans in the ceiling that are in themed with the wood and stone decor. Your meal starts with a complimentary honey butter croissant. For an appetizer, we had the Santa Fe Spinach Dip. We had chicken tenders with fries, coleslaw, and New Orleans Pasta for our meal. My husband liked his pasta. The chicken tenders portion is massive. Similar to Olive Garden, this restaurant has a device on the table where you can play games (for a charge), pay your bill, and call your server. I find this convenient if you don't want to wait for your server. My experience at Cheddar's wasn't bad, however, wasn't impressed. I remembered why I hadn't been there in years. Always a good spot for comfort food. We went tonight for a late Mother's Day celebration. They were not very busy tonight but the service was not all that great. Always a good spot to stop! Recently I met up with a friend of lunch/dinner. We found out it was still lunch time so we ordered our meals and some drinks. Can never go wrong with a painkiller!! Always my drink of choice. My friend also needed to place a top go order and literally caught our waitress right at the minute it ended, and she rushed and got it in! That was service right there! I don't come here often but sometimes for dinner with friends. The staff are always friendly. The restaurant itself is really nice, I like the atmosphere. We started with the honey butter croissants which are always good. I love that they give these out for free once you sit down. My boyfriend got the Buffalo Chicken wrap like he always does. It was really good and a good amount of food. We usually never have leftovers but this time we did. I got the chicken tender platter. The tenders were good and I really liked the honey hot sauce. The ranch here is also really good. I feel like the cole slaw is a good side for cooling off after one of the honey hot tenders. The French fries were great and it was a good portion. I'm not sure if is because of social distancing, or they were short staffed, but for a party of two they gave us a pager and said it would be about a 25 minute wait. There were only about 25% of the tables filled. Asked if we could sit at the bar and they also said that we could not as they didn't have room, which the bar was also not even a third of the way full. It ended up only being about a 10 minute wait so that was good. Server was friendly and attentive. Food was good, although I would not get the steak again as it was a little too peppery. On the evening of January 19th this was my experience as a patron of the Cheddars on Reinhardt Road. Freezing my ass off. It's 66° outside and feels like it's 65° the staff says they have to see what the manager can do. So we have been sitting in the cold 45 minutes and still our dinner was not served.
