I understand this to be the newest location and unfortunately the service here was dismal. KAYLA was a horrible server and seemed to just be phoning it in. I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt however I think she prejudged us being a black family. I know the stereotype however you can't put everyone in the same box as we don't live in a vacuum. She rarely checked in on us and ignored us when we would try to get her attention for service. When we'd been sitting for 30 minutes waiting on our food, we asked her how much longer it would be and she says with a passive aggressive attitude "well I don't know off top of my head but I'll go check it for you". I'm thinking, wow really? You should have been checking regardless. I noticed that she checked in with other tables more often though and I don't think it was a coincidence. We never got drink refills and and our food came out cold. We are always great tippers and she missed out on an additional 30 bucks for her tip. I say addition because we still tipped her 15%. The lesson here is to treat everyone with respect. You never know who you may be waiting on. We will never return to this establishment. read more

We stopped in here because we had some coupons we wanted to use for a free appetizer. I hadn't been to a Texas Roadhouse in a while. The food was about the same as I remember and aside from the wait, the service was actually really great. This restaurant was busy to say the least, we arrived at 7:30pm on a Saturday and were told that the wait was 15 minutes. Ultimately we were seated at about 8:15. During our wait time we wandered around the "mall" which was the perfect proof of America's dying retail landscape. I am quite confident that this restaurant, the Target, and the Bass Pro Shops are the only places that bring foot traffic to this part of town. Food: We ordered the rattlesnake bites and blooming onion as the appetizer. The blooming onion was a little too greasy and the rattlesnake bites were mushy- they were still flavorful but the outside just wasn't very crisp. I ordered a sirloin from dinner and the meat was a little tough but the seasoning was on-point. Even though the food isn't five-start level, you certainly do get a lot to eat: peanuts, rolls, appetizers (if you choose to order), plus your main meal with two sides. We were completely full when we left. Service: Our waitress is really the main reason for the four-star review. She was incredibly attentive, ensured that no one had empty glasses and she double-checked to guarantee that our meals were okay. She was also incredibly easy going when we asked to have the check split in a strange way so that we could take advantage of the coupons we had. My wife and I eat at Texas Roadhouse at least twicwle a month. But usually at the Pooler location! FYI (GREAT PLACE)! But this Savannah location, we may never eat there again. Our waitress was great but the meal part of the dinner was horrible! I'm usually patient with under or over cooked steak. But cold and bloody steak when ask for well done! So we asked for the manager since on top of bad steaks my wife's drinking glass was covered with gritty dirt. Sadly, we could tell by the way the manager KELCY approached and spoke at our table that, she could care the less! I should've know that she was going to bring our steaks back burnt. We came in for early dine at 3:50 PM on a Tuesday. The restaurant was practically empty minus to 4 girls at the hostess stand. There were 5 waiters for the few customers at the restaurant and we were told as well as the 2 parties coming in near us there would be a 30 minute wait. The restaurant was empty. It was the worst dinner I had in a long time. My steak I ordered with no mushrooms they brought the steak smothered in mushrooms . Sweet potato was so cold the butter wouldn't melt. The waiter for my table was fairly prompt and put in my drink and appetizer order right away as well as brought out bread and butter while I waited. The appetizer, tater skins, came out and was not the most appealing dish. Looked overly cooked and had brick hard bacon bits on top. It came with a sour cream dip on the side. Overall I wouldn't spend $7 on this again. The bread put on my table was cold and a bit hard but still edible. I ordered the chicken critters for my main course and it was pretty tasty. No complaints. I am upset about a few random things during this experience. The bread (which is my favorite part) was really cold and old.. they can't combine military discount and a coupon which is kinda lame but whatever. And my free appetizer was NOT worth it.. like at all. Overall I might return to this location but only if friends wanted to meet specifically here. read more

Skip it! I've never been treated so poorly in a restaurant because of my skin color until today. I sat at the bar which wasn't busy and waited for the bartender to finish her chat with her friend to take my drink order. When she did come over she asked me what I "needed". Ok maybe she's having a bad day....NOPE I watched her wait on the other customers that were of her same race and ignore the customers that were not. If I could give it -10 starts, I would. I had a horrible experience in this specific restaurant. We are roadtripping from Miami, and made a stop in Savannah. We are traveling with my emotional support dog, 9 months old, and since I'm hearing impaired, my doggo aids me. Before waiting 30 minutes in line to be seated, I asked the host if they allowed emotional support dogs. The kind man said it was okay, they would allow him. We were starved, we've been driving for about 8/9 hours, with frequent stops. We finally sat down and as we order our drinks, the manager, without a hesitation, came to our table and very angrily, he said "hello, we can't have barking dogs in the restaurant." Mind you, my dog only barked once when we were sitting down. He did not give us a chance to explain ourselves, and demanded us to leave, after we were already attended with our drinks. It is very disappointing because I've gone to Texas Roadhouse back in miami, and their service is always splendid. If you have a doggo and decide to come here or if you want to be treated with disrespect, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. read more

This Texas Roadhouse has to be the busiest restaurant in Savannah! We had a 50 minute wait at 4pm on a Saturday. Use this Yelp app to check in and save you a lot of wait time. I usually check in during my drive to the restaurant and get seated immediately. What's not to like about fresh yeast rolls, buckets of peanuts, perfectly grilled steaks and burgers! What I feel really sets this place apart from the TR in Pooler and other steakhouses is the service. Servers, food runners and bus staff are always smiling and attentive. I was meeting my wife here after she got off work. I asked for a table for two. I was asked if the other party was here. When I told them no, I was told that I had to wait on the other party to get here. Now, if there were a lot of people waiting, I could agree with that. Just a follow up, while I was waiting a young couple walked in and asked for a table for 3 and they were seated even though the other member of their party wasn't present. Then, when my wife arrived, they attempted to seat us in a booth all the way in the back of the restaurant immediately adjacent to a large 3 table group with about 6 adults and 8 adolescents. This in spite of the restaurant only being around 60% full. I told them that we would like a different booth and the hostess was not going to accommodate us. The waitress for the area stepped in and got us another booth away from the party table. I really believe this was due to my questioning their seating policy. I had a coupon for a free child's meal. That's what brought us in the door on a Friday night out with the grandkids. The menu had an $8.99 sirloin special from 4:00-6:00pm. It came with 2 sides. I was expecting a cheap cut of flank steak but actually had a juicy, tender 6 oz sirloin. It was cooked medium-rare (the only way to order meat). The sides included a big sweet potatoes and cooked vegetables that were actually fresh and not over cooked. We also had a side of grilled mushrooms that were tasty. Our grandkids didn't eat much of the macaroni but had a great meal of fresh bread and peanuts in the shell. Later, we went to the indoor Mall playground before going home. I'm going to have to return to Texas Roadhouse and may be upgrading this review. I didn't expect much and got a great meal. Now I need to return for a premier steak and see how they do! read more

Service was slow and mediocre. We ordered drinks and never received them. He brought us the house rolls and a bucket of the infamous peanuts. After we ordered it took about 15 minutes for our food to arrive. While we waited I went to the restroom. The restroom was a decent size, but the stalls were ridiculously small. No room to move. As I returned our food arrived. I ordered the chicken fried steak, white gravy, fresh vegetable, and a sweet potato. The chicken fried steak was warm and seasoned perfectly. The vegetables were typical steamed vegetable with light butter (nothing spectacular), and the sweet potato was a well cooked sweet potato. Thank you Dillian for the service. Overall the restaurant deserves an A-. The food was well seasoned, the rolls are addicting especially with the butter, the portions are heathy, and the waitress/waiter staff is excellent while attending to their customers. The food arrived and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly, but one of the steaks didn't taste "right". When the manager came back to check on us and again took care of us by replacing it with another steak of my choice. Overall, the experience was good.
