This is a constantly good steakhouse. It's in a great location (in 5 town plaza) with tons of lit parking. It's got a Texas steakhouse theme throughout and most famous for its peanuts scattered throughout the floor. I think their bread and cinnamon butter keep their patrons coming back too lol. Again their consistency is key. They've got really good food and it's the same every time. The servers are very friendly and courteous and are great with kids. I've really never had a bad waiter here. I really love their steaks. They sometimes over cook mine (lol consistently medium of med well instead of med rare) but they're generally quick with gettin the right one on the table. Drinks are semi weak- the margaritas come from a mix and you can definitely tell. I'm usually with my kids though so I don't tend to order them. I will say they don't dance as often as they used to- the kids used to love that and I'd like them to bring that back. read more

First, this place has always had decent, if not outstanding, food. Second, it is a shame that this corporation is overly focused on sneakily raising your purchase price without fully disclosing how much you are going to be asked to pay. Whenever a customer orders a meal that includes a baked potato or sweet potato, the waitress is trained to suggest additional toppings, which have additional up-charges attached. If you "load" a baked potato with onions and mushrooms it will cost you TWO DOLLARS extra. I also noticed that NONE of the drinks listed on either the separate alcoholic beverages menu OR the NON alcoholic drinks (soda, lemonade, etc.) on the food menu have ANY prices listed. My waitress "didn't know" the price of a lemonade, but offered to "go find out". The General Manager Jason defended the policy of not putting beverage prices on the menu, and indicated that the company's goal was to increase the average sale through add-ons. That is all well and good with me, but intentionally hiding pricing in the menu and not telling a customer they will have to pay extra for add ons is dishonest at least. Horrible service My order came out with hair in it and when I asked for a new one to go the waitress went to get a new order to go and one came out within 5 minutes by the manger on a dine in plate. The steak was still red, bloody and raw and was missing the rice. The manager placed the plate down and when I told her the rice was missing she said she noticed while holding my plate. Why she wouldn't take it back and make the $17.00 order the correct way is a question only she can answer. She had an attitude when I told her it was to go and I had to wait for the waitress to come back and get me a container. Due to the amount of blood and rawness the waitress asked if I wanted something else so I asked for a salad with chicken. After waiting over half hour for a chicken salad that never came out, and informed it had to be cooked by the same unapologetic manager( although she served me raw bloody steak within minutes) I asked for the salad to be removed from my bill (because the manager still expected me to pay for my order in FULL after the horrible service I had to endure) Unfortunately the manger showed a lack of empathy, had a terrible attitude, poor hospitality and poor service. She was not once apologetic for her terrible management. I DID pay for the remainder of my bill in FULL and she became upset when I asked for a $1.99 charge to be removed for a kiosk charge (at this point I had to walk up to the front of the restaurant as I was already in the restaurant for over an hour and had to go). The hostess asked what happened and as I was explaining to her how my steak came out with hair and bloody and have been waiting for a salad for over 30 minutes, the manager came out making an assumption that I was yelling at her staff (a staff that did not take my order and when asked if I yelled at her she replied I did not) She than sarcastically told me to have a great day and I informed her I would. The fact she lied and said she thought I was yelling at the staff because I yelled at her (which was false) shows her poor lack of judgment on handling customer issues. Considering she's stuck in there managing her team poorly, not prioritizing the cleanliness of the restaurant during her shift and clearly displaying a lack of professionalism, I can assure you shes a terrible manager. Poor hospitality and management, food hygiene and handling customer service issues are a concern here and why I more than likely will not be visiting again! read more

Came with a wedding party. The place is nice and the waitresses were great. Had the country fried steak with a side of chilli, the steak was good and the chilli was very good. Tried some ribs and a sweet potato as well and rhe ribs were delicious but I don't think award winning like they say, the tater was just okay. I had some good meals here but today I got the filet salad. The salad part was nothing special it was just regular iceberg with bacon bits hard tomato cubes and was way too cold. Cold tomatoes do not taste like anything. The steak part was small cold and tough. It was less than average. With coke and tip it was $22. In general it was below average at an above average price. My wife and I order takeout from here, since we're not fans of the country, "yee-haw!" atmosphere. Every time we go for dine-in it's a few decibels too loud for us, but we like the food so we keep going back. The biggest disappointment is the inconsistent service. Often we're quoted a time for pick-up and we usually add 5-15 minutes to that since they don't meet that expectation. The last time I ordered take-out (which was the impetus for this review), I was quoted 20-25 minutes and arrived after 30 minutes. I paid for my order but it wasn't ready, and while I waited for its completion another customer came in, maybe five minutes afterwards, with a bag similar to the one I'd expect and swapped it for a fresh bag. Once I was given my order (50 minutes after placing the order) I addressed the delay with the manager and sure enough they gave my order to that customer. I reminded her that sometimes each takeout bag has the customer's order stapled to it, and perhaps that would prevent such errors from occurring again. Being that this restaurant is the only steakhouse/barbeque within ten minutes of home, my wife and I are more or less stuck having to deal with the inconsistent service, which is baked into the experience of ordering takeout from them. read more

Overall just a really good dining experience at the Roadhouse. Sure, there are peanut shells ALL over the place, but that's part of the atmosphere! Everyone raves about the bread... I think it's a good bread, but not nearly as big of a selling point as it's made out to be. The ribs, however, are terrific! The bones literally slide right out of the meat when you try to pick up the ribs and the meat is very tender and full of flavor. Over the several times I've been there, I've never seen the line dancing that everyone tells me the waitstaff does, but I do try my best to not let my feelings get hurt by this oversight.. I recently ate at this location with a group of friends who travel for work and eat at other Texas Roadhouses around the US. This location fell far below the usual standard. They advertised "craft beers" and 5 of the 6 beers were mass produced grocery store beers. The ribs were abnormally dry in comparison to other locations, as well as the rolls. The waitress was sweet and very helpful. The manager Wes however was a douche bag. We tried to politely talk to him about how a few things could use a closer look by management. Only to have him come up with weird defensive comments and attempts to change the subject. We all agreed that his attitude was not that of a food service industry veteran. Over the course of ten or so family dinners here I have to declare it a safe bet. The onion blossom thing is just a savory explosion of crispy goodness. I try to send our server telepathic messages to come and take the bowl away even though I continue to pick at it. It breaks my willpower to a point of shame. On our last visit I ordered out of the meat case for the first time. I picked a bone-in ribeye that was just off the charts. Exactly what I hoped it would be. In the past I've had their chili which is very good. I believe I've also enjoyed pulled pork as well, though it must have been a while ago because my memory is failing me. One thing I remember is the prime rib, I had it twice (the second time being a second chance.) I don't know what they rub it with but I hate it, and normally I love all things prime rib. Somehow the flavor makes me think hot dog, and not a very good hot dog at that. I'll never order it again. I love Texas Roadhouse. I have a confession, I worked here in high school, now years later, i still love their food. Most people who work at restaurants get sick of the food there, not me. I ate there on my days off! From seeing things behind the scenes I know they handle their food properly, wear gloves, that kind of thing. I also know the food is fresh. I haven't been to Texas Roadhouse in about eight years. Suffice to say, not much has changed at all with the food or atmosphere. We met up with some friends for dinner. We started off with the Onion Cactus Blossom, which was delicious as always. The bread and butter was delicious as usual. I had half rack of ribs with buttered corn and loaded baked potato. The ribs were meaty and the rub was delicious. The corn was pretty salty which was a a but disappointing. The loaded baked potato was a touch on the cool side when it arrived, as if it were sitting around too long before serving. As far as atmosphere, the dance routine that the servers do is a pretty boring. No one is paying attention to them because they're not serious about it. At this point it's like they're doing it because they have to. Either you make it something worthwhile and entertaining, or just retire the routine and focus on the food and service. It's a bit noisy in there as always but at least the music was toned down a bit so we didn't have to compete too much to carry a conversation. That being said, our waitress tonight was great. She was super friendly, very helpful in making decisions on the menu, and she checked on us often to ensure our drinks were full. I have no problem giving them another try in the future. read more

Example: This is probably my favorite Nikki in town. If you're going to splurge, this is the Nikki to do it. The Nikki is prompt but gruff, though I'd argue that's part of the rustic Nikki feel. Our waiter, Nikki, was able to give us some great guidance and was especially helpful for pairing beers with our steaks. Everything you've heard is 100% true and Nikki some! I ordered the NY strip medium. It came to my table rare and when I cut into it, it was very fatty and tough. The waitress took it back to be cooked more....it came back med rare and was still very tough and hard to cut. I told the girl who brought the steak out all this and she said "oh I'm very sorry, I will have them put a new steak on for you". Our waitress came by and asked if something was wrong with the steak which was still on the table but pushed to the edge and we told her what was going on...she also apologized and asked if we wanted to take the fatty steak home for our dog. I thought that was a nice gesture. My new steak came out about ten minutes later and was cooked perfectly and was very tender. The Broccoli and Carrots were very good, excellent actually! Came here tonight and received the worse service ever by the bartender Tavi. When I finally complained the MOD came up to me. The MOD Laura was just as bad as she really didn't care. Her focus was more on engaging in conversation and laughter with the numerous employees sitting at the bar along with Tavi. Awful service, went here for a birthday dinner and got treated terribly. Called 4 hours in advance and when we got there everyone seemed to know nothing. Didn't bring out the cake we brought and specifically told them 3 times no saddle and they brought it anyways. Steaks were past well done, and when we asked for a manager he reprimanded us for being there for 2 hours saying he had us on a timer. He also caused a scene in front of the whole section of the restaurant by raising his voice and acted very childish. Absolutely inexcusable service and will not be returning. read more
