This place has been hit or miss. I still look forward to coming here because of my experiences at other Texas Roadhouses . So I'm going to just combine my last 3 visits into this one review since they all pretty much are the same Service ...average at best. Good luck finding your server aka Casper the friendly ghosts . Pretty much no matter who the server is. Bread basket goes empty glasses go dry ( water beer soda it doesn't really matter) and the bill at the end of your meal is a chore to find in itself. Super bust Thursday night on the later side for dinner. Used yelp to get on waitlist which was on point. Once we were texted it went a bit south- seated in bar area, never offered rolls, 10 minutes till we had a waiter ask for drinks. After that we actually had to ask for rolls after our order was taken. Food was good. Then 23 minutes to try to pay bill. Kiosk was circle of death. We take advantage of the call ahead option when we are on our way. Service is always with a smile. Our waitress was Shawna and we really enjoyed. We tend to come here as it is hard to get away from home as much as we work and tsking care of the kiddos. The steaks and sweet potatoes are good. Not a fan of any other of their gluten free side options. Tried their green beans for the first time. My husband liked, but they are watery with liquid smoke flavoring and taste so artificial. Well let me just say we are finally done with this place. Our server Joel got part of everything we asked for, wrong, disappeared for 20 mins at a time. Food was shoddy, I got a side baked potato that was "tiny" while the other two that were with me were enormous. No consistency. This is not a good Texas Roadhouse. They do not know how to cut steak. They do a bait and switch. They show steaks in the cooler that look great but this is not what you get. I ordered a new York strip it came out as a little square, no seasoning tasteless and raw. I sent it back to be done correct and asked them to check the Temperature so it would be done right? I was told they don't have the thmometers. They just guess. Then they make you cut the steak down the middle to check it which is not how you eat a steak. Manager does not care "Mario" terrible customer service. The steak was so bad.I couldn't even chew it and did not eat it, they still wouldn't adjust the bill. I normally really like going here, and when I dine in, service and food is great. However, the last few times I've ordered rolls (so paid for extra, not complaining about the free food lol) they have been stale.. I've waited both times for between 10-15 each so I thought they ad least be fresh. I have been to others a few times as well and they never taste like this. Had to throw the whole order out. We decided to eat at the bar. The restaurant was very busy and we could walk right up and get started. We both ordered a tap beer which was nice and cold and tasty. I had the rib appetizer and instead of the fries, I opted for a side salad. My Dad got the salmon. Food was good, but my dad's potato was burnt pretty badly and the sauce that came with the salmon was weird. It kind of reminded me of a runnier tartar sauce. Bartender/server Taylor was great! I LOVE Texas Roadhouse in Surprise, AZ. I have to be in town every 3 weeks for my appointments, and we always go to TR when in town! ALWAYS will wait to be seated in Amanda K's section. Our server Taura deserves a five-star review of her own. She was absolutely amazing, and made our evening! My Dad loves the steaks here, so that's why we came. All of the other food was fine, but pretty much the same corporate quality that you'd expect from any other family-priced steakhouse. Overly salty and greasy. The real downer here is the volume - which is screamingly loud. There's no way to hold a reasonable conversation with someone across the table - and that's just too freaking loud. The hosts were awesome, there was no waiting and even though the place was packed, we noticed how fast they turned over tables for new customers! Our waitress Jenny, was such a delight!!
