Quiet dinner spot. Everyone working was very friendly and considerate while we were here. The food was great! My girlfriend is vegan, so the only thing she could get was the Cauliflower Steak and it tasted great even for me. This was a great option for us while staying at the Omni hotel. They switch to lunch at 10:30 so we were able to sneak in for breakfast on a Friday. We decided to sit at the bar and grab a few drinks. The bartender I believed his name was Marco, Maro? He seemed intoxicated and we asked if he had any favorite specialty drinks he just pointed to the menu which only has 3 cocktails . We both ordered old fashioned which tasted horrible , and my husband noticed him pouring himself a drink while making cocktails. This is a great fine dining restaurant in downtown Dallas. We just finished up the 6th floor museum and looking for a place within walking distance. This place was within a hotel but it was hot outside (exceeding 102+) and we needed a cool place. The place wasn't very busy so we got right in. The place is very upscale but we were in shorts and t-shirts and they didn't kick us out. The service was very good. The waitress took our order and within 15 minutes we had our food. I had the chicken fried steak with a twist, chorizo sausage gravy. Wow was that good! Mashed potatoes were done perfect and I'm certain they were real potatoes. Great dining experience. Value vs price was right on but expect to pay for it. This is one of those places you treat yourself every once in a while. read more

Maybe we just went on an "off" night but this was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had in Dallas. Ever. The 2 stars is for the kindness of the hostess and the tasty appetizer. The rest of the experience goes down from there. The waitress was awful; she didn't know the ingredients of the meals or even what the vegetable of the day was. Couldn't she ask?!? She kept trying to sell us on the "Buffet". I came for a friends birthday and it was never acknowledged even though I repeatedly mentioned it. The worst part is that we got our side order after we were done with the meal and were still charged for it. I can't believe the lack of service here. We stayed in the Omni; so we tried the restaurant for supper & breakfast = more info for you! Supper: solid 5/5 on atmosphere with street-points for the hooker waiting at the bar. Easy 5/5 on food; with the huge CFS a clear winner (great beef served crisp with tinder center - perfect - not just big)! My wife enjoyed the unexpected dinner-buffet; with tasty fried chicken, salads, and an array of desserts. Service was only 3/5; our waittress was very nice, but had too many tables to attend our drinks on time. Breakfast: another buffet is offered for breakfast - this place is turning into Luby's! You can order from the menu; for example 3-egg omelette or corn-flake encrusted french toast - but the same items can be had on the buffet. Pay the extra $ to get the buffet, so you have access to extra fruits, desserts, potatoes, etc.. Kudos for crisp bacon; both pork & turkey! Easy 4/5 for good food (only a point shy of perfect for soggy breakfast potatoes), 5/5 on service, and 5/5 on atmosphere. Glad we enjoyed dinner & breakfast here! read more

We ate brunch on New Years day and everything was great. Erika was a server and did an excellent job.

The service here is top notch! I threw my son's graduation luncheon here in one of the private rooms. I booked the party a few days before. Made several special requests and was not told "no" Once. They knew it was a special occasion and made sure everything was as ordered and perfect. When we arrived the room was already set. Appetizers out, table settings and personalized menus. We had our personal servers who were very attentive and kept an eye on the room. Removing dishes promptly and bringing the next course when appropriate. Our meal was served family style in gorgeous appetizing platters. I was on such a high I can't remember if I even ate but all the food was gone so it's a sign it was pretty good. They even made a cake especially for us!!! I was super impressed and recommend Texas Spice to anyone for large private parties. My only suggestion would be they change the lighting in the room. The highest setting was still low and all my pics came out so dark so couldn't really brag like I wanted to! Lol great time still. read more

Just FYI, it is inside the hotel, they have a really good variety of drinks, really well explained and nice decoration. The waiter was really attentive, and food was on point. Nice little breakfast spot in the Omni. I was here for a dental event with my coworkers and we all loved this place! The service was awesome, our server was so nice and brought us out a yummy shot of various juices at the end of our breakfast. They have a great menu or there was a buffet. It was stocked with some pretty great stuff. The scrambled eggs were so fluffy and delicious. There was a table with various breads and a cool little toaster with regular butter and some honey cinnamon butter. If I ever find myself at the Dallas Omni I will def be here for some great breakfast to start my day! read more

This has been a hard place to review, because quite frankly, I've had mixed experiences. I think it's really a 3.5*'s (3.5 stars) but there's no 1/2 stars. The first morning I had the buffet and I must say imo it's waaay overpriced. Even for me with a card that points out I had weight loss surgery and I get the kids price. But I might also think it's waaay overpriced because I DID have weight loss surgery. That is a conundrum. So breakfast is good. But pricey. I just paid $14.07 ;pre-tip) for a bowl of oatmeal with berries and raisins and coffee. Uh-huh-pricey. But it was good. The staff is good. Me and a friend were looking for a place to eat last minute and I remembered seeing this place on yelp. We didn't realize it was inside the Omni hotel lol We checked out the menu and I asked the waitress what she recommends. She told me these were her favorites, Tuna tater tacos and Brisket grill cheese. I'm from Texas so I think of brisket with BBQ haha. She was kind enough to bring me a side of Bbq sauce. Tuna Tatar tacos were good but the sauce inside made it a little better. The shell was ok, I was thinking tortilla tacos but I get the concept. Brisket grill cheese was amazing! The brisket was cooked to perfect and the cheese was cheesy. To my taste buds it went well dipping with the bbq sauce I asked for. I wandered over there from the jfk museum. The staff was so delightful and warm. The recommended the Tuna tartare and it was yummy and hit the spot. It is inside the Omni. Mapquest started to send me behind the building but a bus driver was nice enough to direct me inside. I recommend this spot if you are nearby. The desserts looked amazing. The place has a lot of ambiance. The food is great. The concierge, jane was wonderful and gave me some great information about where to go and eat. Do not miss this restaurant when you're in Dallas!!! Such a wonderful place, inside the Omni Hotel but luckily it doesn't have that cheesy hotel restaurant vibe to it. We felt totally transported. Local, fresh food that was so special and delicious. A wonderful server named Gabby- seriously one of the best I've ever had anywhere- she's a gem, and a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. The perfect place to collapse after a long day of sightseeing. The menu changes often- I'm posting a pic of the menu we were given, but be warned that some things on it may change soon. But that's just because they get the best fresh, local fare- nothing travels more than 200 miles before it's on your plate. Everything we had was wonderful- I've posted pics of it all. These are definitely Texas-sized portions, though- prepare for lots of leftovers! On the table they have the most incredible shaker full of their 'special seasoning.' It's like a slightly sweet BBQ rub. Our server gave us some to take home. So nice! Definitely one of the best meals I've had. I recommend this place wholeheartedly. read more

My girlfriend and I did a staycation at the Omni for the weekend and we checked this place out for drinks. The restaurant had a cabin-like feel to it with numerous wooden decor. It had an open design with plenty of seating inside. They also had patio seating available but it was too cold to sit outside. My girlfriend ordered the botanical crush (4/5). It was basically a gimlet. It had a crisp, refreshing taste to it without being overhelmingly sweet. I decided to try their tequila old fashioned and I was definitely impressed - 5/5! It was flavorful and smooth! I also ordered their Tennessee old fashioned (4/5) but thought the tequila old fashioned was more enjoyable. Shout out to Ryan at the bar for hooking us up with some stiff drinks! I'm a big fan of ice balls though and I wish they had it here to give my old fashioned a much more visual appeal. I was seated at the bar, where the service was a little bit lacking, and my huevos rancheros, while beautifully plated, made its way to me on the lukewarm side. The flavors were good and probably would have been much better had the dish actually been served hot. Beautiful restaurant! The atmosphere felt classy and cozy. I ordered the short rib and asked to sub the mac 'n cheese with vegetables. They gladly did this substitution and they were very generous with the vegetables which were perfectly roast to soften the vegetables but maintain a fresh, crisp crunch. The servers were very attentive to me, refilling water, checking in on me, and quick to get my check and box my leftovers. According to my receipt, one of my servers was Quazi. This was the first restaurant I ate at in my first visit to Texas. Thank you for the wonderful Texan hospitality!
