Following the Texas OU game in Dallas, we were looking for a restaurant away from the congestion of the fair and found on Yelp this intriguing restaurant in downtown. Yelp reviews all alluded to a movement within the great dining experience. I talked my group into checking out the message. I would love to share the details of what that momentum is but I feel it is best that you trust your gut if interest is peaked to hear it from them yourself. On to the benefit for the diner- the food is super fresh from some local food partners. So fresh that you can almost get a hint of soil in your lettuce. Seasonal menu based off of local availability, we had the fall menu. I started with the Beet and Burrata salad that was my favorite part. The medley of flavors from tangy to spicy to sweet and salty was one of those dishes you look up so you can make it at home. Mmmmm still thinking about how tasty. The green salad looked so fresh with ample amount mounded on the plate. For main course our table had the strip steak (very good), the pasta ( homemade) which my Italian friend said was the best she ever had, and the fried chicken (a customer favorite). It is boneless dark meat thickly breaded well-seasoned over awesome mashed potatoes and collard greens( can't judge that since I don't care for them anyway). Dessert was ok. We opted to try all three but only the dark chocolate dessert was enjoyed. The mango sorbet was average and the apple crumble was too oatmeal-y. They have wine and beer in a limited variety and a really yummy raspberry iced tea. Decor was so interesting which i tried capturing in the pics and service was very personal and moving. Pricing a little higher but you will want to give it first for the experience and then for the great food. We were informed by the manager that they have secured some land closer to the other nonprofit companies which allows employees to work on the farm as well as in the restaurant. They plan on expanding to liquor as well at that point. They have other locations that also are working to provide great opportunities to the youth so I plan on following their journey. Feed your soul while feeding your tummy and give this a try. You'll be blessed because you did

From start to finish everything was amazing! The concept of helping our youth is hands down one of the best projects I've ever seen. My sister recommended the restaurant as she knows the owner Chad. Shout out to him for making our experience memorable. The food was delicious and present with class. The stories of 2nd chances shared by the waitstaff provide a new found appreciation for humanity which we all could use right now! Order the salmon it was our favorite, very delicious!

Years ago I had the opportunity to patron this incredible restaurant with a beautiful purpose for the community - last night was so impactful for us to see that the legacy continues- This restaurant is what goodness in this world looks like. They could have served me a wet sponge with ketchup and I would go back for every single meal. Lucky for us, they served impeccable food with purpose. Young men of Dallas are learning valuable lessons of service and self awareness through this restaurant. It was an honor to be a part of the fellowship and flow of dining with greatness. We attended for our friends birthday celebration/ what a way to celebrate life! Delicious backseat of bread, sweet and sticky ribs, buttery cheesy Mac and cheese, smoked friend chicken, a plentiful serving of crispy snapper fish, lobster pasta- all chef's kiss! Truly wonderful things are happening here- go see them. They have a fantastic message to share- and you can help change the trajectory of a young man's life by enjoying an incredible meal here! Five stars for changing the world! Check out their website to learn all about this lovely and loving community cafe/restaurant serving up smiles and soul for all to enjoy!

One of the top restaurants I've visited as far as service. The mission of this restaurant makes it feel that much sweeter in supporting via dining in. We started off with a bread basket which was very good. It came with butter and a berry jam. Everyone in my group ordered the fried chicken since its the most popular dish and it was our first visit. We all really loved it. I do want to go back and try the sticky ribs. They sounded really good. Plus, I didn't get dessert and I was told the chocolate cake was divine! Worth a visit! There is valet parking next door to the restaurant. It's free but of course they take tips.

A non-profit restaurant where every dish you order serves a greater purpose?! RUN don't walk to Cafe Momentum! Ambiance: elevated cafe. Perfect for a date night or friends hangout for finer dining in a casual setting. Food recommendations: - Smoked Fried Chicken - NY Strip - Mac & Cheese I did feel like the chicken was undercooked inside and the steak was overcooked, however the presentation was fantastic and was likely a one time scenario. Highly recommend to come and support a great social cause! Price: $$$ ($20-$40 entrees) Dine in complimentary valet or street parking

Purpose -Impact - community - no food related business should expect to last without it. I've instantly bonded with @cafemomentum for what they do for our community's youth. You have a supporter, a fan and a regular for as long as I am able. If that wasn't enough to win you over - the food is outstanding! Very delicious !!! Can't not give this place 5-stars. The service is great, the food on point. Decor, vibe, everything was excellent. We we're one of the last diners and even the manager came out to greet us. Smoked fried chicken was the highlight though. Loved it!

We can't say enough about Cafe Momentum! The mission is exception as was the food. I had the smoked fried chicken and my mom had the mushroom belly. We got to hear the story of one of the staff who has come a long way in the 3 years he's worked there and it was so inspiring! My mom cleaned her plate, which she never does. Just outstanding!

Delicious food and amazing service, what more could you ask for? I highly recommend this for a nice dinner out in Dallas. Bread and carrot appetizers were amazing, along with every entree our table tried. 10/10!

My husband and I started off by splitting the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket which were good but I wouldn't order again. It just didn't seem to be anything over the top special so I would rather order something else as an app. My husband ordered the fried chicken and I got the Crispy Chicken Katsu. Both were delicious and I would definitely recommend trying both! The Katsu came with a spicy mayo that made the sandwich perfect! The fried chicken is massive so definitely share that or go home with left overs. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I'll start with a positive -- the appetizers were actually quite good. The deviled eggs, dragon…read moreroll, and pigs in a blanket were all tasty, and that's honestly the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

I enjoyed the herby sauce on the chips, but wished it was served on the side! Mains: English Pea & Potato Pierogi, Mac and Cheese, and Vegetable Pasta - they were very nice to make a vegetarian pasta dish for us, and it was delicious! The tomato sauce was flavorful. The Mac and Cheese was also perfectly cheesy and I enjoyed the garlic breadcrumbs. My favorite was the Pierogi -- savory potato's, sweet brown butter sauce, and fresh greens to balance it all out! Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

WILL NEVER BE BACK!…read more HATED. EVERY. MOMENT. OF. THIS. PISS. POOR. EXPERIENCE. EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT. VALET. NOT. FREE. I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K
