It has been quite some time since we last stopped here at TGI Fridays in Gettysburg. We only stopped because of an email we received from the corporate office if you buy two drinks and one entrée you got the second entrée for free . Our server was absolutely perfect such a friendly individual very attentive and really explained everything about their menu and what items they no longer have or no longer available . So we do the server and service five stars However, the food is the downfall , we ordered the whiskey burger with fries, which was perfect. Well presented extremely hot when served..... We opted for an appetizer which was the potato skins at a cost of $11.29 and that was extremely disappointing. They had somewhat of a rubber type consistency. When you chewed it you can tell that they were just microwaved. There was no appeal to them. The other main entrée was the sizzling chicken and shrimp. It was served extremely hot, but the chicken was extremely small and the shrimp was somewhat disappointing and the potatoes had no flavor. For the price of $20.29 you would assume that you would get a decent size chicken breast however it was smaller than the dollar menu at McDonald's which does not say much. The bathroom had to be desired. It had a bad smell and is a need of an upgrade, and there were two other folks dining near us, and they asked to move to another table because of the smell coming from the bathrooms. The inside is your typical Friday well decorated, and the floors and tables looked clean . Service was fast and friendly. This was my first visit in a very long time. The menu has definitely changed. I wanted jack Daniel's chicken and shrimp like I enjoyed in the old days but it was not on the menu here. The burgers we ordered were pretty good. Artifacts lined the wall like an old Atari system. My son enjoyed his first visit to a tgif. It's a great date spot for those of you looking for some place loud and fun. read more

First round of my medium sirloin was well done. Second round was RARE! First round of my wife's salmon was scorched on the bottom. Second round was once again burnt on the top. Why they don't can the cook is beyond me. The waitress was very apologetic and sweet. read more

We had a group of 6. Granted thats a larger group so thats understandable. But we waited over a hour for the food. After about 45 min or more they came to tell us that one of burgers was messed up and had to be remade. No problem stuff happens. But it took 20 some more min to get our food. Once it did come out all of the food was cold and one of the burgers was still messed up and not made correctly. read more

Today i Had dinner at this Friday's. I was very excited. Hadn't been here in a while. My party ordered our food. We get ready to eat to find the nastiest dirtiest utensils I've literally ever seen! Said something to the server. She says they are all this way. But try another set. Second set nasty dirty. Had to complain again to our server and get cheap plastic fork and knife. What's even worse is the manager says he knows about this issue due to soft water issues. ok fine, why give the filthy dishes to customers? If the health department saw this instant shut down! Man, I hate writing bad reviews, but Friday's, what happened to you!?! Today's visit was a major disappointment when it came to food quality. We went around 1pm, wasn't busy. We were seated right away and had a great server who was also managing the bar area. For appetizer we chose the pick three option and chose the 8 boneless wings, 4 mozzarella sticks, and 3 potstickers for $16.49. Compared to other fast casual chain restaurants it's a few dollars higher, but the items we received were good. It was our actual meals that fell super short. Husband ordered the whiskey glazed chicken sandwich with fries for about $14. He did not eat his fries as they were warm and hard as if they were maybe over fried or maybe they were sitting? The sandwich he said was okay, but the chicken was really thin. I ordered the Friday's "Feast" pick two for $22 and some change with the selection of whiskey glazed grilled chicken breast and fried shrimp. Sides were the mac and cheese and coleslaw. When my food arrived I almost laughed at the portion size. Friday's feast as the menu stated was a bit misleading. It arrived warm, even the coleslaw. The chicken BREAST was a CUTLET, not a breast. And it was super rubbery, as if it wasn't cooked? Lukewarm and rubbery, it turned my stomach, like I actually spit it out into a napkin. The 8 shrimp and Mac and cheese were good though. It's a real shame because we used to love TGI Friday's. Other than appetizers, our food quality was really poor. Maybe we just went on a bad day? But due to their prices, we probably won't give them another try, at least for a while. The other thing I was surprised about was the limited menu offerings. I assume they pared it down due to Covid? My mother and I came to get a nice lunch and with exception of the waitress, the experience wasn't good! The food was nasty and my mom's drink was as well. I ordered fried green beens which were the best thing on the menu. I also ordered an aloha chicken bowel and my 1 piece of chicken breast was flavorless with a dash of burnt. My mom had a bacon ranch chicken salad and there seemed to be only 1 cut up piece of fried chicken tender and a whole bunch of lettuce from someone's backyard! the cheddar broccoli soup taste watery and the broccoli was very undercooked. Always available menu items, except $24.95 Surf & Turf. I believe it's a "sucker" feature to get you in. I expect if you went to 15 different Fridays you will never be served this so call feature item. Rest of menu is fine and the quality is good ..... but the portions are a little less than expected. Let me tell you for a simple order of two soups and a couple of appetizers this place needs better management. We ordered pickup over DoorDash and I even turned around and felt bad because DD didn't issue them a tip. What I got was soggy fried green beans, broccoli cheddar soup that was like paste and potato skins that looked like they had sat for hours.. Came to this location 2 nights ago in a group of about 15 people and we had an awful experience. Not only did our table get cut off from drinking after having 2 drinks each, the food was less than superb and I paid my portion of the bill and was somehow charged the entire $500 for the table and another $39 for god knows what that I did not sign for. This place's workers need to pay more attention to who and what they're charging people instead of being worried about cutting off grown adults whose age ranges from 30-50's. If you're considering going here, save yourself the headache and annoyance of these incompetent people on their high horse and go elsewhere. Will never return ever again and will certainly never have anything good to say about this Fridays. 0/10. read more

Staff was nice. I was there on tranining trip (military) so I sat at the bar the three times I went. First time I got the bucket of bones which was a good experience. However, I went two other times and the first time I got uncooked wings (picture) and the second time I got a tiny piece of salmon for over $20 (picture). Not sure if that's the plate but it seemed very akward like no effort with lots of empty space in the plate. read more

I posted positive remarks in a prior review about Fridays. My friends and I were there last evening. We go there almost on a weekly basis. The wings have become so small they are not worth 50 cents. 3 of us got the sizzling chicken and cheese ... what little cheese there was, was scorched and the chicken was dry. Our server never offered refills on drinks. My one friend asked for a refill and never got it. Having the app you are supposed to get free chips and salsa. When the bill came they charged 4.99 but only took off 3.38. When we asked the server she said she hits a button and that's what comes off. We got separate checks but we're told that since we sat at the same table we had to scan the receipt into our app ourselves. She said she couldn't do it. The last two times we have had issues with this particular server. Before that she was bouncy and fun. We tip well so I can't imagine why she has become so rude. I was looking for a place to stop for lunch during a road trip and this seemed conveniently located. I travel a lot for work and often eat at TGI Fridays as they seem to be conveniently located for me. This location was perfectly fine. I went on a rainy weekday afternoon between lunch and dinner. It was not crowded. Service was pleasant and quick, my burger was cooked perfectly and came to the table quickly. Iced Tea was fresh. The restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean. No complaints. Four of us went in around 9:00pm on Sunday night. There was a small group celebrating something and three other groups. We were seated quickly and told our servers name and they would be with us shortly. 10 minutes later drink order was taken. Guessing another 10 minutes drinks were brought and server said they would be back. Meal was ordered and all main Courses were prepared to satisfaction. However side orders were different story. One order they ran out of side and fries or I should say salt had a few fries with them. Drinks were refilled only once and had to go to bar to get them refill (coke and water). TGI's at Gettysburg is by far the worst experience I've had in years. I really debated doing this but someone has to share in order for things to improve. And that says something from someone who has worked in food service. You tend to have compassion if you've been in the field. We took our 8 year old for her birthday before a movie. We were there over 1 hour before everyone started leaving and we realized our food still wasn't coming. (I only knew because my text messages to folks congratulating my kids birthday events was time stamped to the exact moment we sat down at the table). When we asked to speak to a manager, we got the food and they wanted to comp one kids meal and give a kids movie ticket to a theater, but even after we went through all of that, I received the worst $12 burger I've ever had and my wife's vegetarian salad came with chicken right on top. My specialty burger I got was supposed to have guacamole, peppers, cheese, lettuce, tomato and other stuff and it didn't have almost anything on it. (I cannot make this stuff up). I took a picture of my burger beside their actual burger ad for the burger and you can see for yourself. The manager came and checked and I didn't have the heart to send the burger back and wait another hour to feed the kids and see a movie, but I was shocked she couldn't see the discrepancy in the burger for herself and act and make the fix without asking. Again, the picture shows for itself. We missed the movie and changed our schedule. My daughter was really disturbed. We tried our best to do it as nicely as possible not to end a day that way but it was tough. As we told the manager and she did not deny, there was an epic failure in the team that day. It may be better on other days, but we did not have a good experience and even though we have a comp meal for a kid from this experience, we won't use it. As of this review, when driving into the Outlets, the parking lot is HORRIBLE with uneven patched potholes. We got here early evening on a Saturday and there was a significant wait for a booth (20-30 minutes), we had no problem sitting at the bar as it had opening seating. This location does not appear to be super large and was PACKED. Service at the bar was fast and friendly and we got our food and drinks reasonably quickly considering the crowd. The service at this place is a joke. Food and drinks are as you would expect, but everything else is bad. I arrived here with one other person for lunch on a Friday around 1pm. We were told there was a 25 minute wait for a table but we could sit at the bar. We decided to do that so we sat at the bar literally right infront of where 2 bar staff were crowed around a cash register. They did not even look up at us, say hello, or acknolwedge us in any way. It just went downhill from there in terms of service. They could not handle the simplest requests, and people were getting irritated with their ineptness. Drinks are INSANE prices and I hope you like ice. My daughters drink was packed with crushed ice. Mashed potato? Microwave. Ribs were good, steak was edible. Wow, this place may have been the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I don't expect the best service at corporate chains anyway, but this place stands out as particularly horrible. I took my 6-yr-old son there for lunch on the way to visit the battlefield. After we were seated, it took 45 MINUTES to get drinks and menus. After that, it took another 20 minutes to get the waiter to take our food order. All during this time, I observed the wait staff standing around chit chatting and not taking care of customers. A half hour later our food finally arrived, and it was very underwhelming. My burger was so greasy that the bun fell apart in my hands when I picked it up. The chicken nugget kids meal my son got was obviously heated up in a microwave... soggy and gross. I expressed my frustration to the manager on duty, and he gave me a coupon card for a complimentary appetizer. No thanks, I will never eat there again. The rudest host in the world. We went in for a late lunch yesterday....we were told that it would be a 10 minute wat...so we give our name to join the list. At that point we are literally the only party waiting. The host requires a phone number...and won't add us to the list without it, even though we explained that we didn't have our phone with us. He says, no problem, I just have to put something in here - indicating the ipad. We say, we'll be right here and stand in the foyer about 3 feet from the host. A few minutes pass, another party of two come in, join the list and stand next to us. Just a couple moments later the newly-arrived couple are notified and seated. We asked why they were seated before us, and the rude host smirks and says "I notified you"...on the phone that we explained was not with us! His excuse, he couldn't be expected to remember our names...but he literally had to walk past us to speak to the second party he was seating. I'd like to say he was clueless, but he was obviously and purposely rude to us. His manager was also relatively dismissive...overall horrible customer service....and we never even got to the ordering and eating portion of the restaurant experience! Apparently having a cell phone embedded in your hand is a requirement for service at this restaurant.
