Our waitress was friendly, and Toi exceeded our expectations, helping create one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. The drinks arrived quickly, followed shortly by our food. We started with the calamari and fried pork wontons. Both appetizers were delicious and authentic. The pork wontons were packed with flavorful meat--no cream cheese filler--and were absolutely fantastic. The calamari was lightly breaded and paired perfectly with the authentic Thai sriracha sauce. The star of the evening was the crab fried rice. It was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the spicy duck stir-fry, which was fresh, tender, and had no gamey flavor whatsoever. The kids shared the chicken Pad Thai, and it was amazing--well-balanced, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The portion size was generous enough for four kids to share comfortably. I ordered the spicy shrimp, which had the perfect combination of spicy, sweet, and salty flavors. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Overall, this restaurant delivered outstanding food, excellent service, and a wonderful dining experience. We'll definitely be back for another amazing meal in the future! Recently I got the pad Thai jay, but the time before that I got the tofu pad see ew. Everything is always so fresh and delicious. My wife and I took our neighbor here to celebrate him before he moved. Our neighbor selected this restaurant and we both agreed that it was a good choice. I liked the location, and that they have their own parking lot. I wish I had known this before I parked. It was clean and set a nice ambience. The hostess and our server Cookie were friendly. I appreciated that they were patient with us when we were figuring out what to order. They even gave us suggestions, which I appreciate it since this is our first time eating here. My dish was very tasty and flavorful, but I must say the spice levels are intense! I got a level two and it was more than spicy enough for me. Next time I go back, I will probably get a level one. I recommend trying a level one or two and working your way up to level three or higher if your body is sensitive to spicy foods like mine is. When it was time for the check, and I paid, Cookie noticed that I was wearing scrubs and we had an awesome conversation about careers. I love Thai food, and this was no exception. We popped in on a Wednesday evening around 530. It was pretty slow, and our server was very quick and attentive. Everything came out prettu quickly, and it was all great. We started with some spring rolls, fresh rolls, and the fried calamari. I really appreciated that the rolls could be ordered by the piece. Everyone knows fresh rolls are best FRESH, and it was nice to have just how many we needed with no leftovers. The calamari was delicious, perfectly fried without that overly rubbery texture that some places put out. Our table did two orders of the Beef Pad Thai: heaping plates packed with flavor. But the real stunner for us was the Pumpkin Curry. I have never had such an amazing curry in my life... and ok, maybe my Curry experience is somewhat limited, but this one was phenomenal. Absolutely inconsistent food. I've ordered takeout from here and eaten in the dining room for more than a decade -- you never know whether the food will be delicious or atrocious. Tonight's experience is the final straw. The shrimp summer rolls had chicken in them instead of shrimp -- the spicy shrimp salad included shrimp that was almost raw -- the green curry had no discernible curry flavor whatsoever, but tasted of pure coconut milk and nothing else -- and the sweet and sour tofu included tofu cubes that were burned dark brown, as well as zero pineapple or onion chunks, the two key ingredients, and a sauce that was almost black rather than light brown. We really enjoy this Restaurant. The atmosphere is quite and the servers are always polite and knowledgeable. When you arrive you are greeted by the manager both in English and Thai. For our lunch we both had the Pad Thai, Pam likes it light on the heat and I like 3 pepper hot. This dish reminds you about how so many other restaurants do a poor job with this dish. The noodles we perfectly cooked, it was served with fresh chopped peanuts, fresh lime, plenty of egg but as so many restaurants these day did not use the bean sprouts. For those that do not know bean sprouts have a very sort freshness life and can be very toxic if they linger to long. I would have like more green onions but that is just me. My only issue here was the plate that I was served on had a chip out of the rim that was very sharp and should not have been used. I went here around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy and there was r&b music playing in the dining area. Our server was very quick to acknowledge us and got our drinks and appetizers out in immediately. I had ordered a Thai ice tea, chicken satay , and beef pad Thai. The Thai tea is served in a hugeeee gauntlet and is the perfect creamy sweet taste for the tea. The satay was piping out when it came out and had a delicious curry taste to it. My beef pad Thai was good as well I wish it had a bit more sauce and added spice to it, but nevertheless this is my fav Thai place to go to in the 757. Place is cozy. With all the wood and the divider of greenery, it's almost like a time warp into an old traditional house. The lighting is perfect in my opinion, not too bright and not too dim. Staff are also really great! They give good recommendations and make sure you have enough water to get through your meal. My dad got green curry, and haven taken a bite of it, it tasted just as good as another place I frequented in Arizona. I got a stir fried vegetarian dish, recommended by our waitress, and it was just so delicious. The portion size was also fairly large, so be sure to get a box to take home. This was definitely one of my favorite places I've been to in Virginia Beach. I can't wait to go there again and try more dishes in the future! read more

This is my all time favorite Thai restaurant. I am 23 and my parents have been bringing me here since I was 6 months old. The food is fine, was better before the last two times of my visits. You would want to come here before 4 to pay for a cheaper price. I always order Pad Thai, but I would tell my server to not put sugar in it because the ones I had in Thailand and Hong Kong were not sweet, maybe they wanna make it more western? I would give a two star according to the last two time I eat there because i tried to order other food, and the Pad Thai and Lad Na didn't taste good too. The portion of the Pad Thai became lesser, and it was sweet again although I asked for no sugar, and it was wet, which it was supposed to be dry because it is a stir-fried dish. The Lad Na is plain, needa put many fish sauce in it. I tried: Kai Pad Kao Pod, it is plain and I would want more vegetables; Pad Prik Khing: taste is fine but too spicy. Most of the servers are nice. However, one of the servers has a bit attitude. One time there's a worm or something idk in our Lad Na so we told her, and she ask us where was it, kept looking at it like we were lying, and of course, didn't apologize. This is my favorite BG location. Not 100% sure if it's the original location but for some reason the food tastes better here. The waitresses are all familiar faces and they know what they're doing. They might not always look friendly but they are and they're efficient, too. They have plenty of seating inside but man do to get busy sometimes! My recommendations are pretty simple: Thai iced tea that comes with a refill (and you can request for it to be put in a to-go cup, too!), Pad Thai, Pad See Iw, and Lad Na. The Papaya Salad is good, too, just keep in mind the kick it'll give ya! Oh, and I recently just learned about their chicken wings. Sooooo good! Lunch specials give you the best bang for your buck - usually comes with a salad and a fried spring roll with your entree. On cold rainy days the Tom Ka soup always warms my soul.
