Seated right away. They never seem busy. As we dine in we do see a few people getting orders to go. The last couple of time we have been in we have been the only people dining in. Friendly staff and a nice clean restaurant. The Green Curry is our favorite thing to order here. The Pad See Eaw use to be better but this last time it was very light on the veggies and meat, It was just a bunch of wide noodle. I will say their spice levels are different from other local Thai restaurants, as in their food is spicer! level 3 was much hotter than other restaurants. So keep that in mind. When I arrived to pick it up, the restaurant was bustling with happy customers, which was a great sign. Our food was handed over hot and fresh. I ordered the Lad Na, and my husband tried the Drunken Noodles for the first time. As someone who grew up with authentic Thai food, the Lad Na was solid--not quite like my mom's, but definitely one of the better versions I've had from a restaurant. We are new to the area so when we saw this Thai food restaurant, we figured we'd give it a try. It's a smaller cozy place and the Food was good. They seem to be a bit understaffed. There was one girl who did everything from answering phones to serving to clearing tables. she was very helpful and attentive considering how busy she was. My only complaint would be the bathrooms, were pretty dirty looking and unkept, which I hate to see in a good restaurant because I find that to be a red flag. Hopefully they take care of this issue because otherwise it's a great little place. read more

I walked in here for carry out order around 2pm on a Sunday and only one table is seated with guests for dine in. Lady who helped me assisted me right away by asking what I ordered. Upon receiving my food in a bag, I asked her if there is lime in my pad Thai. She looked like she doubted it but once I asked again, she confirmed "there is one in there". That was a lie, (-1star). Here are some items we've tried over the years: - Dumplings: Love the dumplings and the dipping sauce! They are super meaty! - Drunken Noodles: My husband loves this dish! He gets it everything because it's flavorful and just the right amount of saucy. - KaPaw: This is my go to Thai dish and this place didn't disappoint. It wasn't overly spicy but had a good taste. And they added broccoli to the dish was new to me! - Siam Beef: This dish was surprisingly good and came with fresh ginger on top. Went here while staying at the beach and was craving some Thai food. Overall experience wasn't bad. The dishes were hit or miss. The green curry was nice, papaya salad was really good, crab Rangoons were solid. That said, some of the dishes were pretty bad. The pad thai was some of the worst I've had. Maybe it was a different style, but it had a really sweet flavor super similar to ketchup, and it was kinda soggy. The spicy mango dish was also not great. the flavor was a little too sweet. The lady on the phone was nice and repeated my order back to me and made sure I knew what location I was ordering from since they have another location. This location is small and quaint with a quirky decor. Their menu is has LOTS of options for adults and a small selection for kids as well. I ordered my go-to Panang curry and it didn't disappoint. The sauce had just enough kick and my tofu came with an assortment of veggies. We loved the fact that every meal came with a spring roll. We also ordered a spring roll app because they were delicious! I treated myself to a Thai ice tea, a sweet treat that pretty much tastes the same wherever you get it. Not sure what's going on with this location but they're just not consistent and it's a damn shame. It's like when they're good, they're so good... But when they're bad, they're really bad! This last visit, my son's Pad Thai was absolutely disgusting and not edible. Instead of the distinct peanut flavor, it had a strong sweet chili sauce/Sweet and Sour taste. It had a reddish tint and was also mushy. All around unacceptable. We just couldn't do it. We normally don't send food back but we had no other choice so our waitress graciously took it off our bill. Another dish we usually order is the Pad See Ew that used to be good, normally is good, but this time, it was bad, too. Had a bad taste. I ordered chicken but it had a hint of fishiness to it. Even though I didn't eat much of it, I was too shy to send it back so I asked for it to be boxed. We tried their chicken wings and I have to say I wouldn't order it again. It was boneless and stuffed and the flavor was off. I only liked the crunch factor. Their only saving grace was their Thai Iced Tea and eggroll. That's it. I thought I rated this location last time I ate here but apparently not. This isn't a large store, located in the strip mall area near Petco, but it's decent sized and the decor inside is fairly new. This was my first time eating Thai food in Virginia Beach. I'm slightly picky about my Thai food since my ex mother-in-law is Thai and I spent four years eating her delicious food. But I digress... Located off of Nemo pkwy this little restaurant has a nice selection and variety of delicious Thai food. For this trip I started with a refreshing Thai tea and a spicy beef salad (level of heat ranges from 1-5) I chose a level four just to be safe! I was pleasantly surprised how much meat was in this dish, as most places are skimpy with the protein. The flavor and heat were perfect! For my main dish I opted for the spicy mango with squid. The mango was perfectly ripe and added a nice sweetness to the heat of the dish. Again, there was plenty of meat in this dish which makes me very happy, and a generous amount of green pepper and onion. What's not to love. This is our fourth or fifth visit and each time we've had good service and good food at reasonable prices. This small Thai restaurant is tucked in one of the Red Mill Commons shop complexes. When ordering a meal, the small thai house salad and a spring roll are provided complimentary. The currys are savory, packed with flavor. On this last visit, I tried the mango-pumpkin curry which was a delight. The dish is an ample portion to fill the average person particularly with the bowl of jasmine rice accompanying the dish. The various seafood dishes are also very tasty (the wife had a seafood medially). The young one in the party opted (as always) for a plate full of Pad Thai, a mainstream Thai noodle dish recognized by most lovers of Thai cuisine Plenty of parking in front. Then I got an update the ready time was extended 30 minutes beyond the original time. The location was very busy. They offer dine in and while I waited outside in my car at least three separate groups stayed for dine in. The take out traffic was even busier. I went inside at the ready time. There was a line of people waiting at the bar for take away. The runner took our information and then commenced taking food orders at several tables...... Ok. Shortly there after she came back with the order for the delivery take away. Myself and two others waited. More orders for take away came out. None were mine. We went over my information again for close to twenty minutes until she gave up and said she didn't get an order from me. Strange Then poof, order appears from the kitchen. This hiccup aside, my friend's red curry with extra vegetables was good with an enjoyable amount of heat from Thai spice. My beef dish with vegetables lacked Thai flavor and was disappointing. Came here for lunch a few days ago and ordered a bunch of food since it was my first time. Crab Rangoon was good their small, crispy, with just the right amount of cream cheese not too much. Their papaya salad 2 stars was the perfect amount of spice for me. My boyfriend enjoyed their lunch chicken kapow. I like how the meat is minced and comes with a fried egg on the side. The only thing I thought was okay was the Pad Thai, it was good but wayyy too sweet for me. I felt like I was eating sugar noodles. Another thing they could improve on is their lunch menu. They only had two options. I've been to places that had much wider selection than that. I would have ordered more if they only had lunch portions. Love the thai at Rosa. We've been to all their locations. Particularly like this one as it's close to work and they participate in Order Up for delivery if you can't make it in. Service is friendly and fast. Food is good, and a good selection. Had the thai tea, Tom Ka (go out on a limb and try this if you never have. SO much flavor!) soup, and pad see eaw with chicken. Entrees, even lunch, come with a spring roll. Prices are great and you pretty much always walk out with leftovers. Plenty of seating, and they have a large wine and beer list. read more

So, I will start this review by saying the restaurant is clean, smells nice, has decent service, and is good for a quick lunch. Overall, not a bad pick. However, the only thing on their menu I've tasted (after having been here several times) that was noteworthy was their spring rolls. Not bad at all, and mixes well with the sauce they serve with them. On the other hand, the pad Thai and noodle dishes are for some reason unnecessarily sweet, their curries are underwhelming and lacking a truly savory appeal to them, and their summer rolls are lack-luster whilst being served with a sauce covered in crushed peanuts instead of peanut sauce. The food isn't "bad" but it definitely has room for improvement and pales in comparison to Bangkok garden for Virginia Beach Thai cuisine. Maybe taking a lighter hand with the sauces and trying a new peanut sauce would be a good start, but there's definitely work to be done here. read more
