The small store serves good Thai food. I thought the layout of the store made me feel very crammed, but the food is very nice and well presented. I knew I'd enjoy the chicken pad thai the moment I laid eyes on it. Portion size matches its price point. Nuts were placed on the side of the dish, so I could choose when to eat it. Best part, the food was warm until I was finished. Also had the pad see ew from here for takeout. The chefs are nailing it. Only wish they had more staff. I think they could benefit by making the interior more aesthetic and having a server readily available. I recall there being 2 servers on every occasion I've been there. The servers were communicating with the kitchen, working as cashiers, getting takeout orders and working the floor. They can benefit from splitting the workload among more staff members which would lead to better-quality customer service. read more

Terrible. I was so disappointed. The food was terrible. The service was mediocre at best. We ate there last night and my stomach still pangs from the ill prepared food. We walked in around 7:40 pm. It was our second time and the first visit was good but I think yesterday was our last. The restaurant had only a few other patrons but as the evening went on, more folks came in. We were greeted very quickly and seated (all good signs). There was a young man and a young woman helping all the tables. We asked if we could order our soup and appetizer right away- we ordered tom yom with chicken we asked for it mild with heat on the side; and spring egg roles. The gentleman also took our drink orders: two kid waters, a sprite and water, and hot water. About 10 minutes later the kid waters came; after an additional 5 mins the hot water came; after another 5 mins the sprite- never brought a regular water. Fine. The egg rolls were brought; then 10 mins later the soup. The soup had chicken which was hard and rubbery. Wish we just had it as vegetable tom yom. It was the highlight. The cabbage in the egg roles smelled off. Once we got the soup we ordered: green bean beef; pad sew eew, and seafood stir fry. Each. Dish. Came. Out. Separately. (Hope the various periods gave off a disjointed effect because that was the feel). It was bizarre AND the rice was brought out separately. And I am talking about at least 7 minutes between each dish. So weird. I'd never ever had this happen to us. Okay now let's talk food: the pad sew eew was drenched in oil and the noodles were chopped up. You know when you come to the end of a bag of something and you're left with crumbs, yes that's what it looked like. Chicken was hard and appeared to be over boiled and chopped up in the oddest if shapes. Like they were parts and pieces left over. Then the green bean beef, again, disappointing. The green beans were good. The beef was cut where no two pieces looked alike and was tough and rubbery... like the chicken. The seafood. Okay, things take a drastic turn for even worse: the highlight here was that the fish is not fresh and they put immitation crab! It was a disaster. The sauce was think and pasty. Oh, and to top it off, my daughter took a bite into the clam to pull the meat and she found a crab inside the meat!!! I kid you not. It was just the straw that broke the camel's back. Fear not! If you are a Thai food lover like we are there are two other options in the area (Chutamas and Lum Ka Na) that are consistently good. I am shocked this place is well reviewed. Been living in the valley for many years now and never been and tried this place until now. I'm glad we did! The place is a little bit small but organized and clean. They have a patio seating but we chose to eat inside because of the unbearable heat outside. We were seated right away. Staff were very nice and friendly especially our server (she). It was lunch time so got to try 3 of their lunch special combo. As expected of me, I went to my favorite red curry chicken and mixed vegetables, my wife had a house special shrimp. The combo also included a soup, fried rice, salad and some kind of fried cheese/crab dumpling which my son loves. We also ordered from the ala cart menu,,, the sizzling seafood, fried calamari and the dessert our all time fave mango sticky rice. What a pure satisfaction! All of it! They were all equally good and delicious! Because we loved the food, we even ordered a pad thai to go and that one was good too! We wanted to order some more but we were already full. I can't tell you how amazing this place is - it's definitely one of the best Thai places you'll find in the valley, but the people that work there go above and beyond. I had back-to-back issues with the delivery through DoorDash (during the holidays, I might add), and despite having made my order TWICE, they made it a THIRD time and the Blu (not sure I'm spelling that correctly) that was working that night delivered it personally to me. I'm not typically in their delivery range - only via DoorDash - but since it was delivered poorly twice already he came all the way over after they closed up for the holiday and hand delivered. My go-to dishes are the House chef's choices, wonton soup, pad see ew, and the Pad Thai (especially street style) is great. Also one of my fave Thai tea and Thai coffee! SO GOOD!!! The food here is fantastic! They have a lot of traditional Thai dishes and a big enough menu to please everyone's taste buds! They also have good customer service and that's what I like best. So many restaurants have rude people at the counter and act annoyed. Not here! They treat everyone with a touch of class and respect. I've already told many friends and family about this place. Some of my favorites are the fried rice, egg rolls, tempura shrimp and all the soups are good. I haven't explored much of their menu in all the times I've been there, but I can say that their Red Curry (Chicken), House Special (Beef or Chicken), and Chicken Satay are very good. I just enjoy those dishes so much that I don't want to experiment with the rest of the menu, haha. The house special is a dish that's unique to this restaurant and this restaurant alone. Yelp 100 2018 Challenge 30/100 Well, after passing by a bunch of times, I finally went in to eat and have now been two going on three times this week. Food is great and prices are even better! So far, i have had pad thai, drunken noodles, thai tea with cream, and the house special butter sauce. The house special butter sauce with shrimp is one of the best dishes ive had anywhere. I can't describe the deliciousness of it, but make sure you get it. I'm craving it as i type. Thai tea is also very good and authentic. So why only four stars? Service is nonexistent. So I'm going to try to stay as objective as possible with this review. We have come here dozens of times for two years now. When we first came, we loved the taste of the food and portion sizes were amazing for the price. The past couple of times eating here have left a sour taste in my mouth. We ordered food to go (chicken pad Thai) which ended up giving me and girlfriend food poisoning afterwards. We figured it was a fluke and figured we got some bad luck that day, so we came again. This time we got the shrimp pad Thai and ate there to make sure the food was fresh. We ended up getting a smaller plate than usual and 3 pieces of shrimp on one of our plates. I'm usually not a complainer at restaurants, having worked in the restaurant industry before, but $20 for 3 small pieces of shrimp was kind of ridiculous. After asking the server if we could have a bit more shrimp, they had three people come over and then rudely gave us two microwaved pieces of shrimp. We had an upset stomach afterwards. The food from here isn't bad tasting, but your stomach may have issues with it and they are very stingy now with portion sizes and sides. It just isn't the same as it used to be. Oh well. read more

So this is my second time at this establishment. I remember the first time I came here it was delicious. The first thing I ordered was the fried chicken wings. They were fire!!! They come with the sweet and sour sauce. Lightly breaded and just the right amount of seasoning. The next thing I ordered was the broccoli oyster with beef. Broccoli oyster dishes are my favorite. I'll keep it short. I'd been meaning to try this place for a while because good Thai is getting harder to find in the SFV. I've tried all the places and unless i go to Thai town in Hollywood i'm never really happy w a few exceptions. Those have seen the areas around them deteriorate at some and wild price hikes at others. First time in the staff were very friendly, the place was clean and simple and we tried a green curry w the mixed fried rice to get an idea. Blue the server, has been a staple of my Bamboo Thai experience. He makes you feel welcome and provides service on par with luxury dining. Going to the restaurant wouldn't be the same without him. The Tom Kha chicken soup arrived and first bite, after blowing, I burnt my tongue. Looking at the photo, I can now see the bubbles. Once it cooled a bit, it had a nice flavor. Usually I go for the basics: Pad Thai or Pad See Ew, but not this time -- when I saw the pictures on the menu my mouth watered. We ordered Pad Ped Fillet & House Special Shrimp off the photos alone and did not regret it. The Pad Ped Fillet was one of the best dishes I've ever had -- this was agreed by the waiter. We also did the BBQ Pork & Noodle Dry Soup, per the waiters suggestion, which looked plain but was full of flavor! Blue was our waiter & he was amazing. He was honest about the dishes: when we asked about another soup he gave us an honest opinion & gave an ever better suggestion! Their prices are typical of a Thai place, but portions are a bit larger and that food has excellent flavor. Not sure if you can go wrong with any dish here, we order a lot of different items normally, Seafood soup, Won Ton Soup, Chicken Satay, Chow Mein, Pad See Ew, Fried Rice, etc. all great!! The service here is great, servers are attentive and friendly. It is usually not really busy so you won't have to wait long if at all. Which I am surprise, because if people knew how great this place was it would be packed all the time. Maybe this review will help, if it does, I just hope the wait won't be too long. I recently came here for lunch with a gf and dined in. First of all, anytime I come to a Thai resto I always ask if they could make me pepper and garlic beef but dry. The way I request is an authentic Thai dish that I always order when I visit Thailand, and they were able to almost mimick that exact order which is better than most places imo! It def gave me the memory of my fave dish at my fave vacay spot. Most places can only make it saucy while I prefer it dry where the meat is fried and topped with fried garlic, MMMM it was SO GOOD! We also ordered their fried calamari and chicken pad thai. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Now specifically for this dish I give it 5/5 the other dishes are perfectly good and well made, but what sets this place apart is the house special butter sauce. The price is reasonable too about $10-$15 a dish. The portion is good for 1 person per plate. Location is in a busy area, but with good parking. Quality: good tasting food the house special as I mentioned is one of a kind. Overall: good location, good food, good price its overall a good place to check out but go for the house special. Pleasantly surprised by this place. Came in to pick up a to go order of lunch for me and my coworkers. The place has a private lot so it was easy to find parking. Inside was clean and friendly service. They didn't forget any of my order although nothing was labeled. I got the yellow curry and an order or pa nang. It was all pretty tasty. I always eat outside and they forget about me all the time and I always have to go inside and get this girl to come and help me. This is the first time we've gone here - the food is good and the portions are decent! We ordered ahead of time and the estimated pickup time was about 20 minutes, which was accurate. We were in and out very quicky. We ordered Pad Thai, BBQ Pork fried rice, thai tea, and the bamboo beef a la carte dish. The BBQ pork fried rice was really good and a nice side dish. The chicken with the pad thai was a little dry, but the noodles were great. I do think the thai tea was a little overpriced, about $3 for a small cup, but it was good.
