Others had pineapple fried rice, they said it was ok but dry, it looked dry & very little pineapple. Looked liked they threw some crushed pineapple in there. They charge 18% on all dine-in orders, but they post it by the booth divider when you first walk into the place. It's good though, as the waitress informed you upon getting the bill that the 18% gratuity is included, making it sound like she's doing you a favor or something. The garlic chicken, Thai basil noodles and tofu fresh roll looks good as well. The condiments: Prik Nam Pla, dried red pepper and peanuts. The pad Thai is good, flavorful and nicely pan fried. The crispy chicken looks better than it tasted, it was definitely crispy, the breading was super light. However, the chicken was way overcooked for sure, reminiscent of jerky, but the sauce has good flavor to it at least. The food was good and the portion size was reasonable. So, why only 3 stars? First, as people have pointed out, they add 18% gratuity to ALL diners, not just larger parties. I've never seen a restaurant do that. Then, she had the gall to justify it by saying Destin is a tourist spot so restaurants commonly do it. I don't know that tourists notoriously stiff servers, but more to the point, I was eating with someone who has lived in Destin most of her life and said she's never heard of a restaurant doing that for a party of two. But what really actually ruined our dining experience was the way our server literally wrapped up our food and ushered us out at 8:30 (closing time). Normally, if a restaurant's hours say they close at 8:30, that means that they lock the doors at 8:30...or maybe switch to take-out only at 8. But, I've never been to a restaurant where "closing at 8:30" means everyone has to literally leave at 8:30. Those are the things which ruined our desire ever to return. read more

Pad Thai was fresh and hot with good amount of chicken but tasted like they added ketchup to the sauce giving it a slightly reddish color and tomato flavor and taste much different than the traditional pad thai I've eaten previously. So I just return to town and wanted this place again and boy, was it a huge disappointment. Got spring roll and 2 noodle dishes and all were greasy. The bottom of the noodle container had oil there were like a teenager drinking party, just chilling but no actions. I felt really gross after eating it and shouldn't have eaten it in the first place. They charged extra for extra topping that did not reflect the amount you'd get. Charged $1.00 extra but got $0.05 cents worth of extras(only found a few chopped pieces of vegetables). Totally not worth it and don't recommend and probably won't return either. I have dined at many Thai restaurants and lived in Thailand. This was the worst Thai food I have ever had.

Had the red curry with chicken lunch special (9.99 with small salad). It was outstanding. I ordered it mild thank goodness. It made my mouth tingle and my nose run, but it was not too much. The lunch portion was very generous. The chicken was all white meat which is my preference. I expect we will be stopping here on a regular basis when we are in the area. I LOVEEE THAI FOOD. We got Thai food to-go last night in Fort Walton but it was too salty for my liking. I was craving pad Thai because I didn't get it last night but the pad Thai was a little too saucy for me but it was good. My mom and sister ordered the meatball beef noodle soup and they really enjoyed it. You HAVE TO GET THE MANGO AND STICKY RICE DESSERT. ITS MY FAVORITEEEE.
