PROs- very good taste , very good pricing CONs- location , no meat restaurant, ambience We went to Rutgers and was looking for a good restaurant and came across this restaurant.. had good google reviews and wanted to try it . Location wise it was ok. Lots of parking outside . Few other shops nearby . Service was good . Just that the whole restaurant was a bit cramped . Not much of space and ambience was average . Good was very good though. It's an only veg restaurant! No chicken , no meat . !! We were 8 and ordered many stuff .. overall quality of the food was good. Thai fried rice , drunken noodle , pad thai ,... etc was very good .. they charge 0.5 cents for hot sauce which was a bit wierd ! Never seen any restaurants charging money for a sauce ... kids liked the food though. Wanted to give 3.5 stars but gave it a 4 ! Good experience overall.

Our veggie friends discovered this place on Google and were stoked to find a safe restaurant for their dietary needs. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, but I can get down on some tofu and meat substitutes, so we gave it a try. There are NO MEAT DISHES at this restaurant. It's located in a large strip mall with a dozen or more other businesses. There is plenty of parking. There's not much to the place -- it's pretty open with lots of tables for four. Once we ordered, food came up quickly. A friend got a meat-substitute dish, which was excellent. I believe it was imitating duck. She had the winner of the table. I ordered the Massaman curry based on the description, never having tried it before. I asked for my tofu to be fried. The tofu itself was very flat/soft (not firm at all) and wasn't very fried. The Massaman curry was NOT for me. It's very sour -- I should have Googled the dish before ordering. But read the description of the dish and you may understand why I thought it'd just be a normal curry dish. I only took a couple bites. The server didn't question why I didn't eat my food, which is always a bummer. Everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy their food, though we all agreed they should use a more firm tofu. Service was friendly but very lackadaisical. We waited quite a while to order drinks, then apps and meals, then to get our bill. At the end of our meal, we waited around, staring longingly at the server to notice and give us our bill. He was sitting nearby but playing on his phone and not being attentive to customers. Overall, probably a decent place if you don't eat meat and don't mind squishy tofu, though I'd recommend everyone splurge for the duck substitute meal!

Ignore the naysayers. Ive been going here since 11/2021. So thats about three years now. I wont stop going because of some guy saying they had chicken the previous year. That is BS. They've been vegan/veg for longer than that. And someone complaining about having a bad bobba tea experience and giving a 1 star review. Please, act like a grown up and kindly tell them to make you a new one in person while dining in or from call from home. I am sure they will work with you. Grow up. I've must have ordered from here over fifty times already and you know what? They NEVER got an order wrong. I cant say the same for any other place where I have ordered takeout. With other places there was always something missing or it was not prepared as ordered or given the completely wrong dish. You tell me if they don't pay attention to detail here. So they are all fake accounts with bad intentions, liars or children.

My wife chose this place for my birthday lunch and boy did we find ourselves a vegan gem hidden in Piscataway! This is a very quaint place that has ample parking. We reached early for lunch time and the restaurant was hardly full. We ordered the Tofu triangles, vegetable satay, vegetable cashew nut, pineapple fried rice and honey banana. The taste was outstanding and the quantity was quite full for three people. The person who attended us took care of the checkout too. We'll return to this place to try out the other items on the menu.

A solid Thai restaurant in a strip mall. It is vegetarian and I hadn't had vegetarian Thai food previously. Lighting is a bit fun and layout feels quite open. I got a mildly spicy pad Thai with protein patties. The dish was kinda saucy and noodles were a little chewy. Protein patties kinda had the consistency of tempura (not fried) and were pretty good. Good, not great and fairly inexpensive at $15. Got a green tea bag, which was serviceable. Food came out quickly and my server was friendly.

Came in last night with my vegan friend to try out their vegan menu. Ordered the vegetarian dumplings, curry puff, pad thai, chicken coconut soup, tamarind tilapia fish, and vegan kung pao chicken. When my friend ordered her food, the waitress made this statement "too much food," which I found to be kinda rude. The food was mediocre to my tastebuds and compared to my previous experiences of eating at many thai restaurants in NJ. I liked that they have vegan options, but for me the flavor was lacking in all the food items. The best thing we had was the mango sticky rice and I felt like the portion was pretty tiny. The entree portion of the fish was quite large, at least 3 tilapia pieces and fried well. The fish and the tamarind sauce was delectable. The staff was friendly and attentative. It seems to be a family owned business. Business was also good the day we came, friday night. At least 8 filled tables. Every table had flowers and the restuarant had many plants (jade, ficus tree, orchids) decorating its theme. Noted that this restaurant is owned and ruined by chinese influence, not authentic thai. I was able to understand their mother tongue and new they weren't thai. Which kinda disappointed me.

SO upset!! As you can see ive checked in to this restaurant over 10 times, ive eaten here almost 3 times a week for the past 2 months. Today my thai iced bubble tea had AWFUL boba, SO HARD AND CHEWY- never had this problem before. I called the restaurant to let them know, usually they are so nice but they didnt seem to even care they just said thanks for letting us know and hung up.. very weird and they have unfortunately lost a VERY loyal customer :(

We're still looking around for our go-to Indian restaurant in the area as our kids love saag/palak paneer and we used to go at least once a month where we moved from. But we finally made it! We came here on a Monday that also fell on a holiday so they had a steady amount of customers. We were the only non-Indian customers, which appears to be normal. They're located in a small strip along with 2 or 3 other businesses. Shared parking is behind the building so most people entered through the back door. It was about half full when we got there so I can see it filling up fast during crowded times. Walk through because no one is at the back but there is a small clothing rack to hang coats; the counter is at the front by the front door. We made ourselves known and were promptly seated. They serve vegetarian food and many are Swaminarayan-friendly (allium-free, which appears to be their default mode), certain can be made Jain as well! They do use alliums but overall, they seem to be able to make most of the dishes without alliums. We ordered the following, Swaminarayan-style and mild because one of my kids can do but mild food: DAHI PURI: I usually get pani puri but decided to try it out since it's been a while since I had this. It came out first as the appetizer, was a thing of beauty, and there are A LOT of flavors in there. The sweet-leaning yogurt, sev with its textural differences, the freshness of the cilantro, the spiced potatoes, the tart pomegranate seeds... My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. PALAK PANEER: This was ordered for my kids. Green gravy with tender paneer. They liked it! The curry got a little too spicy but it didn't hit them until later. My kid with the food allergies ate all the paneer when the gravy grew too spicy for him. MALAI KOFTA: This is different from the malai kofta I've had before but not in a bad way. I definitely think they use cashew "cream" in this. It's lightly sweet in a way that reminds me of cashews. The kofta are soft and I'm pretty sure are paneer based. This is probably the most mild curry we ordered, both in terms of spice and spices. This was my pick because I usually can't order malai kofta at Indian restaurants so I was pleased I could hear. MATAR METHI MALAI: I love how Indian curries are so straightforward when it comes to names. I'm not sure what to expect with this but my husband didn't know what to get so I nudged him towards this. He wanted MATAR PANEER but it's not on the menu. This is essentially fenugreek pea curry in a milky gravy. It has very interesting spices and flavor. A little more bland than the others, yet not at the same time. Must be that fenugreek! For some odd reason, it reminded me of coconut chutney I've had before. We also got ROTI for one of my kids who prefers bread over rice. All curries come with white basmati. For drinks, we got MANGO LASSI, SPRITE, and CHAAS (buttermilk). The buttermilk was different! Much more spiced than I expected. I also swear at one point I tasted a raw onion bit but it only happened once so who knows if it was mistaken blended in or it was all in my head. I do remember it was STRONG though. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised at the sheer amount of choices we had. Our bill totaled to around $90 (curries are around $20, Dahi puri was $12) and we brought home some leftovers. They seem to be family run and are fairly nice and helpful. We would likely go back again to try more things, but the palak paneer isn't completely up our kids' alley to become their favorite. If you have food allergies, let them know. My youngest has multiple food allergies including to nuts and wheat. Most of their curries contains nuts EXCEPT for the palak paneer and their bhindi (okra) dish. Luckily for my kid. Despite how nuts are a common ingredient in the kitchen, my kid was completely fine during and after eating. Note: their menu says they charge gratuity for parties of 4 people or more. My husband says he didn't see it on the bill when it was time to pay. Not sure if that statement is now outdated or it only counts if there are 4+ ADULTS.

Sure I have eaten at many Indian restaurants but you have to go to one that only specializes in dosas. Shoutout to my Yelper, Johanna B., she said it is one of her most favorite things to eat. I did a search on Yelp and it lead me to Brundhavan, formally known as Indian House of Dosas. Looking at the menu, I have to admit that I was completely clueless. I had to look up quite a few of the descriptions for the different fillings. We opted to get the Masala with potatoes, onions, and carrots. The presentation had me so intrigued. Dosas are made of rice. Just eat with your hands and dip away. My favorite was the coconut one. It was so delicious. With every bite I kept saying, OMG, I LOVEEEE IT!!! YUM!!! We also ordered the Medu Vada, a savory South Indian fried doughnut made with black lentils served with chutney and sambhar. Crispy exterior and soft inside. I'll start with the good: the benne dosai (which has gone viral across Bombay and now Delhi) is well done, with a nice thick, fluffy texture. I also enjoyed the filter coffee and badam milk, which I love hot but almost always find offered only cold. The Indo-Chinese items such as the paneer manchurian (dry) were also not bad. That being said, I was very disappointed with the thatte idli, which ironically was what I was most excited to order. They offer with a variety of different podi toppings, but the one we ordered had a strange aftertaste. I'm not sure if it was from the ghee or the podi, but we didn't finish the order. The chutneys and sambar are also really nothing special.
