Was in the mood for some spice and we found this gem. Had a number of things: Golden Cups, the Tom Yum Kai, Pineapple Fried Rice and BBQ Chicken. Amazing appetizer with the home made Golden Cups. The Tom Yum Kai was something me and my wife could not stop talking about, simply amazing. We always get Pineapple Fried Rice at any Thai restaurant and it was very good, but not spicy enough without the spice tray. Passing through Grant's Pass in search of something different. We were lucky enough to find this gem. Nothing elaborate, but clean and great food. We had Pad Thai and Orange Chicken. Each was wonderful. The Orange Chicken is probably one of the best I have had. It was tender and crispy. Often times at other places it is very chewy or the outside too fried. This was perfect. The Pad Thai was very tasty. We didn't finish it, but took it on our picnic the next day to Crater Lake. I believe it even tasted better. Thai BBQ use to be one of my favorites. I went there last night and our table of 5 had Orange chicken. It was okay but for 18.00 I could have had about a pound more from Trader Joe's. The atmosphere is like a cafeteria. It is no longer worth the value. I believe that is why we all order Orange Chicken. We have tried other items and been disappointed. read more

I go out to eat with my 13-year-old daughter and she writes a review strictly from her perspective. Hope you enjoy the review: When I first walked in I was met with a slightly cluttered yet homey atmosphere. The entire place had the 'you just walked into you're grandma's house and everything smells like food and warmth' vibe. There were a bunch of terrariums(?) but for rocks. They had a ton of crystals all over the place (like when restaurants have fish tanks but more original) I ordered the pad-woon thai and a thai tea. My dad ordered the Mongolian Beef Combo, and together we ordered the Golden Age Shrimp as an appetizer. The Thai tea was awesome, it had the perfect mix of tea and sweetness, usually thai tea is a bit too sweet for me, but this one was absolutely perfect. The shrimp was great, it had coconut flakes and was fried just the right amount. I tried some of my dads wanton soup (which came with the beef combo) and it was delicious as well :D. When we were done with our food they came out with coconut ice cream! (Which btw is an amazing idea and restaurants should really do it more. read more

Chewy wrappers, scant tofu and pricey......I reviewed the fresh rolls in 2016 being great, but I just ordered them again (2024) and the rice wrappers were chewy like bubble gum - had to spit it out. There are no herbs like mint or basil, just lettuce and carrots, and the tofu is sparse. The real kicker is though that they are eleven bucks! Really? That's insane given that they are not that great and pretty small. The staff is always sweet though, at least that hasn't changed. read more

The pad Thai was mediocre at best. The chicken seemed to have been boiled with no seasoning and a strange texture. Wish it was pan fried/seared. The shrimp was grilled/charred and had good flavor and texture. Since we ordered the chicken and shrimp combo it costs an extra $3 which I do not think was worth the extra cost. We got 3 shrimp for the $3. The shrimp spring rolls we're great. Fresh and full of flavor. The peanut dipping sauce was good as well. Overall we will come back, however their prices are rather high for this town and the lack of quality does not justify the cost. read more

My favorite pad thai and yellow curry in Grants Pass!! The Pad Thai has a perfect balance of flavor, and the fresh veggies on top give nice color, but also texture and flavor. Thai BBQ is great! I love their classic red and green curry. I was hoping to have their summer rolls last time I was in, but they were out of the tofu ones so I was pretty bummed because they are so delicious with the peanut sauce. They are staying busy and appreciative of all the business they can get! I am glad to have several great Thai options to choose from in GP. Next time I am going strictly for the summer rolls! I've seen some reviews that aren't great about this restaurant. I think it's fantastic and I don't know if everyone is aware that's it's now run by a new owner. Everything I've tried has been amazing and I've recommended multiple friends and family to try it and they all say the same. The service is great, the food is beyond great and the ambiance is fun! I first tried it while taking my mom to her doctors appointments in Grants Pass, she could barely eat anything because of the havoc radiation was doing to her esophagus but she powered through this amazing food because of how great it is. The menu is extensive, with good vegetarian options (my daughter had tofu pad see ew) and lower carb options (my husband had spare ribs and a salad).
