What a hidden gem! I wanted to place a quick order for something warm and something to clear my sinuses. When Yelp pulled up Thai Box I checked out their photos and immediately knew I wanted to try it. I ordered via the Yelp page (cheaper than Doordash pick-up). The location was really hard to find, Google Maps takes you someplace else, but once I found it there was plenty of parking out front. I ran in to pick up my order and was early, so my order wasn't ready quite yet. I didn't mind waiting, but sat in the car to wait. Moments later the owner, (I think?) walked my order all the way out to my car!!! I was blown away. Excellent customer service. Then I got my order home and was even more impressed. The portions were plentiful, the ingredients fresh and the flavors were OH MY GOSH amazing!! I thoroughly enjoyed my Panang Curry, it was a hearty portion and it filled me right up!! I've never had a curry where there was so much chicken that I had some leftover at the end - what a treat! I saved my Tom Yum Soup for lunch the next day. It was so good and I was so hungry I forgot to take photos, but the portion was also large and the broth, veggies and spices were delicious. NEWLY RENOVATED! The ambience of this place is adorable, they have a selfie wall decorated super cute (for all the Instagram girls out there) and I'd describe the restaurant as simple elegance. The owners just installed 4 TVs (for all the sports fans out there, Instagram girls bring your boyfriends so you can both enjoy!) and are incorporating a sushi bar soon (TBD). The service is great! Our waitress was friendly and helpful, she was also very knowledgeable of the menu. Now for the food...it was excellent! I ordered the California roll and the chicken spring rolls, both were delicious. We ordered 1 meal of Orange chicken with lo mein noodles on the side for our kids to split (they don't eat a whole portion of food when we go out so we get one meal to reduce wasted food and cut down the cost) and they split the dish for us which was awesome! My husband got the Tom Yum Yum Soup spice level 5 with pork and he really enjoyed it finishing the bowl. They also have boba and milk teas (didn't try this time, but will be trying soon!) I ordered pho and paid for extra chicken, level 3 spicy. With this being my first visit, I'd hate to see what a regular amount of chicken is. I got a few strips of chicken. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. As recently as 2019, this place continued to impress with food quality and taste, but now we've had three orders over a couple of months time where the beef had been gristley and fatty, and what meat there was had a very rubbery texture. The manager gave me a credit for the first of these meals a few months ago, and the pork dish I ordered was good. But the beef is consistently bad. I won't be back. Tried the yogurt passion fruit drink with mango and it is a 10! The Tom kha was amazing and they have different levels of spice to choose from. I randomly came across this place via Uber eats. So I haven't experienced inside but the delivery went well. I ordered the hibachi fried rice with chicken, spice level 2 & the pad thai with shrimp, spice level 2. Both items are extremely bland! They have absolutely no flavor beyond the added spice for hotness. I'm disappointed. I did order veggie egg rolls. These are good so I'll leave on a positive note with that. I added more spice from the little trays you can bring to your table. I also ordered the shrimp rolls. They make these fresh and damn they are piping hot! You get 4 and they are rolled up in wonton papers and deep fried. Gotta let them cool first before dipping into the sauce. Not a bad place to drop in if your in a hurry. They offer up a pretty good lunch menu for under 10 dollars. They have 5 degrees of hot. I ordered 4, but I think the girl thought I looked like a wimp. The cooks made it less spicy. It was not very spicy. It was pretty tasty. I suppose a 3 was a good fit for me. I had chicken basil with white rice. I hate green bell peppers and you guessed it. It was full of them. My fault. Yeah the food was simply not good. Noodle flavor was sour and had to be diluted from the soup base to be consumed. Plasticware provided when requested separate bowl until asked otherwise and even then it takes long time for the kitchen staff to understand what a bowl is. When we went in the place was really clean and there was a lot of variety in their food. We were all pretty hungry so we decided to try out different food. What we tried - Rice: Pineapple fried rice, Green curry fried rice, and Thai Basil stir fry - Noodles: Pad Thai and Pad See Ew - Soup: Tom Yum Soup I thought the food was all really good and clean. but I really loved the pineapple fried rice which was sweet and tangy from the pineapple which elevated the fried rice even more. Food tasted average nothing to rave about for that price. What irritated me was we ordered a side of fries and the person at the register rang up for a kid's chicken meal with fries. I recently moved to the area and have been searching for some good thai food (one of the important firsts to do after moving ), I tried Thai Box out and the portion size is good and they are being very cautious do to Covid which I appreciate. I ordered Chicken pad thai and the presentation was nice considering it was to go, but the pad thai itself was a little bit of a let down for me.. It tasted like it had fish sauce in it which I know is common in asian cuisine but I have never had in pad thai before and wasn't a fan of. The chicken pad thai came with about 3/4 cup of sliced purple onion. Big slices. I'm not against onions, but I assumed if someone was going to put them in a dish like this that they would be cooked but they were more raw than anything, and if you know about onions, you know that purple onions are very strong and very bitter and sweating them in oil first helps to tame them and bring out the flavor which was not what they did. I ended up picking the onions out :/ If I came back, I think I would try something else but I just wasn't a fan unfortunately. read more

I have had Thai orange chicken before, sauce was not dark brown. The chicken was fatty, overcooked, and hard in the middle like it was warmed up in the microwave too longe. It went in the trash.
