They have this 8.99 special where you get two sides and two meats. You can't go wrong with any of the meats but I got two of the best in my opinion. Don't really eat Chinese food like that but I will Be back

Jambalaya rice, green beans, shrimp/peppers, and plantains - amazing!!!

I've been here since Tuesday and everything I've had until this place today has be either horrible with no flavor or just mediocre. Hella disappointing as a food and a chef. I love Thai food and thought that's what I was about to see but it was more than that. I'm very picky about what I eat unless I cook it. They allowed me to try two kinds of chicken (bourbon something and I think the other one was something with mango) both amazing. I ordered the jambalaya rice, shrimp/peppers, green beans, fried plantain, and one vegetable egg roll one chicken. I will definitely come back and try something else

    2 meats and 2 sides for $6.99.

This is a food court restaurant, one of many bourbon chicken venues in Cumberland Mall. Thai Cafe sales a Thai Bourbon Chicken that has a good flavor but it's more of a deep than real bourbon chicken. The meat has no seasoning at all. The spicy Thai Rice wasn't that spicy but wasn't mushy which was a plus. The Curry Chicken was very average. For the price and what you get it's an ok meal for food court food.

The chicken and shrimp combined with the ginger soy sauce was delicious. Asked for it to be fried, and the texture was nice. My fiancé ordered panang curry which was flavorful and spicy. The chicken and beef were a minute or two overcooked since they were so thin, but overall, a filling and satisfied dish. The server offered replacement meat however my fiancé declined. Our server even gave extra rice to go upon request, which was thoughtful and made the experience even better. I ordered the drunken noodle with chicken. Again, chicken was a bit overcooked, but the dish was delicious, especially the fresh bell peppers throughout. Honestly wanted a bit more peppers because they were so good, but overall, good portions of each part of the dish. Service was great, and the ambiance was nice. Because it wasn't a lot of people there at the time, it felt intimate and romantic. Will return in the future. Thank you for an amazing time and great food!

I hate to sound like but this is…read morea restaurant you'd like only if you've never ventured to NE ATL/BuHi/Norcross for the real bangers. It gives... tourist trap? I have never in my life had Americanized Thai food (or at least been conscience of it) but this tasted every bit of that. Not a single Thai national or descendant cooking or dining in here... I should have slid out the door upon noticing this but we were HONGRY and this place was walking distance. I appreciate the big portions to help alleviate the hunger, but the food going down wasn't even close to a real Thai experience. And the general ambience was definitely off. It's unclear whether this is a casual to-go spot or a sit-down spot or a bar. The service here was confusing. You have to order drinks separately from your food, for one. Secondly, it took a solid 10 minutes for a bartender to walk behind the bar and begrudgingly explain to me what they have available. I would have ordered more but her attitude made me close the tab after one beer. We didn't get served water until after we received our food, a solid 15-20 min after being in the restaurant. It generally felt like no one wanted to be there, and the staff were just moving independently to complete tasks instead of creating a dining experience *together*. There was not a smile from a single person I interacted with. I'd most likely not return purely because the dining experience is just plain out uncomfortable. On to the food. Mostly oil and noodles except for the papaya salad, which was... okay. Again, big portions. Nice heat. But just okay. The whole cherry tomatoes on top were a little weird and screamed laziness. The tofu kee mao was... okay. Same for the chicken pad thai. Lots of oil. This food made us feel pretty tired after eating it, which I've rarely experienced eating Thai cuisine. And they were very, very stingy with the protein. My husband counted 4-5 little slivers of chicken and hella noodles. The same was true for my tofu dish. I mean... it's tofu y'all. Cheap. But I can imagine they have to cut these corners because there were about 8 staff members running around in a small space with only a few customers in for happy hour. They do have HH deals on drinks depending on the day, but I found the drinks to be overpriced and not worth it. Especially the beer. And a $10 non-alcoholic cocktail is wild imo, especially for the scanty area this area is in. They are certainly milking the fact that they are in eyeshot of the Mercedes Benz stadium. The inside is beautiful and very ~trendy~ and honestly that tells me exactly where the focus is. I'd rate this a 2, but I'm adding a star for the spotless restrooms.

The basil rolls were FANTASTIC! Spring rolls were good as well. Cocktail: Coconut Cake (I think) and it was great! Very light. For my entree I had the signature fried rice and as my protein, I added chicken. My first dish did come out cold but the manager came over and was very apologetic. It came out minutes later and was hot and delicious. I wish they'd asked how I wanted my egg prepared because I prefer over medium and it was put in as well done. No big deal. For dessert we chose the Mango Sorbet. It was ok. I wish it had a little more flavor but if it's house-made, I can see how it would vary in flavor with fresh mangoes. Overall, this was a solid choice and when I visit AtL, I'd be open to returning. There were a few items on the menu I would like to try.

I also ordered a lychee martini, which was amazing. It had the perfect balance of flavor without being overly sweet, making it easy to enjoy alongside the meal. For appetizers, I tried the crab appetizer with the beignets. The combination was a bit of an acquired taste in my opinion, but the beignets themselves were perfectly cooked--light, crispy, and fresh. The steak appetizer was also very good and a solid choice to start the meal. A special shoutout to the bartender, who was fantastic. Since it was my first time visiting, I had quite a few questions, and he took the time to walk me through the menu in detail. He explained the dishes, ingredients, and flavors thoroughly and gave excellent recommendations based on what I was looking for. His suggestions were spot on and definitely elevated the experience. The only miss for me was the pound cake dessert. It wasn't what I expected from a traditional pound cake. It had a green color and a flavor profile that just wasn't for me. If you're expecting a classic buttery pound cake, this may not be it. That said, the food, drinks, and service were all memorable, and I can definitely see why Poor Calvin's is such a popular Atlanta restaurant. I'd absolutely return to explore more of the menu.
