I had a pretty good experience here. This was about 0.7 miles away from our hotel. It's in a nice location. To start we had the Fresh Basil Rolls and Crispy Spring Rolls. The basil rolls were FANTASTIC! Spring rolls were good as well. Cocktail: Coconut Cake (I think) and it was great! Very light. For my entree I had the signature fried rice and as my protein, I added chicken. My first dish did come out cold but the manager came over and was very apologetic. It came out minutes later and was hot and delicious. I wish they'd asked how I wanted my egg prepared because I prefer over medium and it was put in as well done. No big deal. For dessert we chose the Mango Sorbet. It was ok. I wish it had a little more flavor but if it's house-made, I can see how it would vary in flavor with fresh mangoes. Overall, this was a solid choice and when I visit AtL, I'd be open to returning. There were a few items on the menu I would like to try.

This is my second time dining in, and it's the second time I've been amazed! I love Thai food, so I'm not particularly picky about where I go, but 26 Thai is always great. They don't have a parking lot and surrounding lots require validation within 10 minutes to avoid getting towed, so you'll need to find paid street parking. My family and I made a reservation for the patio. Our server was prompt, courteous, and professional. We ordered still water, lychee mocktails, and the sampler, where you can select 4 starters for $43. We selected the calamari, chicken wings, basil spring rolls, and the dumplings. The presentation was so beautiful, and the food was delicious. The lychee mocktails were amazing--sweet and sparkly! We had big dreams of ordering entrees as well, but the sampler filled us up. The total (with tip) was about 90 bucks, which was fair, considering the food and service! There is a hookah spot right next door, so put your party hats on lol! There were also lots of people outside, so there's plenty to see. This location is definitely in a fun area. If you want a more mellow vibe, you can go inside. Overall great place and I can't wait to go back. Still dreaming of that food lol!

Did not know they had a lunch menu. Was a lot of food and even though no substitution, the combos are well paired.

In ATL for the Peach Bowl and to support HOOSIER NATION on a dream season. 26 Thai Kitchen and Bar is in midtown and walking distance to the stadium and just off Marta. The reviews looked good and we needed a solid meal after traveling all day. The decor is pleasant with bright colors, nice ambiance and a quiet environment prior the game. We ordered the fresh basil rolls with a delicious sauce, pad Thai and Massaman curry with chicken. The basil rolls had a delicious dipping sauce. The pad Thai with chicken was savory and well made. The Massaman curry had good flavor but was more watery and lacked a richness of coconut milk. A disappointment for one of our favorite dishes. The service was good, soothing environment and nice decor. The Massaman curry missed the mark and the portion sizes were on the smaller size. 26 Thai Kitchen and Bar needs to refine certain dishes as the curries need to be rich, savory and uncious. I wish them the best. Regardless, the day was a total success as the Indiana Hoosiers dominated the Oregon ducks.

This was our 2nd time here and everything was absolutely amazing! The pineapple chicken, cucumber salad, spring rolls and chicken fried rice! Each item came out fresh and hot of course with the exception of the cucumber salad. The atmosphere is cute and quaint. Service was impeccable. From the greeter at the door to the waitstaff.

I was traveling for business so Was dining solo. I sat at the bar and my bartender made me feel very welcome, I hardly felt alone. I ordered chicken satay and fresh basil roll. Delicious! I also recommend the ginger martini - it was simply perfect!

Decided to check out 26 Thai while we stayed in Midtown and it did not disappoint. It's located in a cute and centrally located area with lots of nightlife around. We didn't have reservations when we stopped in but we were seated immediately. We ordered the chicken satay skewers and a papaya salad for an appetizer. Both were delicious! The chicken satay skewers were excellent and the sauce was nice and sweet. The papaya salad was very refreshing and the perfect amount of spice. For entrees we did the drunken noodles with chicken and basil chicken. Again, no complaints here! Delicious, flavorful, and spicy! My only complaint is that the service was a little slow. Aside from that it was a great experience and we would return again.

I had to come back and bring my BFF! Though my bday was in February we're still celebrating. The food was amazing as usual. I had , again, the pineapple boat with shrimp and my frond and cousin had the tamarin chicken. Gus, our server, was so sweet , polite, and accommodating. It's a home that's been converted to a restaurant. It's a casual and homey vibe. The bathroom has two stalls. A little small but clean. Remember, it used to be a home. I think I just found my favorite spot

Great place and great service. Building is an old house with two stories. Lots of good seating and a bar. Food is spectacular. I'd say try a few things and split with your party to try a couple things. Definitely worth a try and surprising great prices.

I went to this restaurant 3 times during my recent visit to the A. Whew! What can I say I am a creature of habit and good food is good food. I can't remember all I ate during these visits but everything had FlaVOR it was so tasty and I left fuller than I should have. This restaurant is super cute. The ambiance is low lights, simple but elegant decors and a full bar. I sat at the bar during one of the 3 visits and it's full service. The service was excellent across the board. All of the servers were knowledgeable about the menu, did not hesitate providing their own recommendations and were supportive of a small (2 people) or big party (5 people). See images for collection of some of the foods I tried. The Roti was my absolute favorite and I ordered every visit with a different curry. While an appetizer, it could really be your meal. I love Thai food and eat it several times a month, especially basil fried rice. While this rice was good, I've had better flavors at home in my hole in the wall mom/pop restaurant. You can't go wrong with panang curry, this particular dish was so GOOD and full of flavor at each bite! The snapper was an interesting take on this traditional dish. They gut the inside of the fish, flavor, and cook. The whole snapper was deep fried, and then wrapped around the inside of the fish (see image). If you don't want your fish watching you while you eat, probably won't be a favorite of yours, the inside was good but not mind blowing like the curry. I had a foodie good time and there's more to try on the menu so see ya'll next visit!

26 Thai Kitchen is our favorite Midtown Thai restaurant. We love the atmosphere of the restaurant, an old renovated house. Very pretty inside. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Food arrived quickly. For appetizers, we ordered: Edamame and spring rolls, both were delicious. entrees: Pineapple Boat - good balance of meat and pineapple. We even tried to scoop out the extra pineapple. Definitely a must try. Next time I will try the pineapple boat with shrimp! Tofu Panang (vegetarian) - tasted like a thick, hearty curry. We would definitely order this again. Chicken Basil Fried Rice - nice portion size and tasty We would 100% eat here again.

The restaurant decor is enjoyable. Service was excellent. The roti canai, a staple for Thai restaurants, was tasty and the roti bread was delicious and crispy - however we've had this dish with chunks of chicken in other places, this one is just the curry dipping sauce. Nonetheless we did enjoy it! The pineapple boat with chicken was delicious - and we carved out the extra pineapple which was super sweet. Beautiful display as well! We took a Thai iced tea to go - this was a disappointment as it was extremely sweet. We watered it down with some plain tea. Overall a great spot and highly recommend!

If you're confused by my 1 star, you're not alone--I was too. With so many high ratings, I expected much better. But honestly, I found myself force-feeding at one point and that making my sad even as I write this review days later. The edamame was the one bright spot--simple and good. The rest of the food just didn't sit right with my tastebuds. Maybe it's just me, but I genuinely didn't enjoy it. That said, I really liked the outdoor seating. It was right by a calm street, offering a relaxed yet vibrant city vibe. Also, props to the waitress--she was attentive and courteous throughout. Despite those positives, I won't be returning. For the price I paid, I expected a meal I'd at least like, and that just didn't happen.

I have never in my life had Americanized Thai food (or at least been conscience of it) but this tasted every bit of that. Not a single Thai national or descendant cooking or dining in here... I should have slid out the door upon noticing this but we were HONGRY and this place was walking distance. I appreciate the big portions to help alleviate the hunger, but the food going down wasn't even close to a real Thai experience. And the general ambience was definitely off. It's unclear whether this is a casual to-go spot or a sit-down spot or a bar. The service here was confusing. You have to order drinks separately from your food, for one. Secondly, it took a solid 10 minutes for a bartender to walk behind the bar and begrudgingly explain to me what they have available. I would have ordered more but her attitude made me close the tab after one beer. We didn't get served water until after we received our food, a solid 15-20 min after being in the restaurant. It generally felt like no one wanted to be there, and the staff were just moving independently to complete tasks instead of creating a dining experience *together*. There was not a smile from a single person I interacted with. I'd most likely not return purely because the dining experience is just plain out uncomfortable. On to the food. Mostly oil and noodles except for the papaya salad, which was... okay. Again, big portions. Nice heat. But just okay. The whole cherry tomatoes on top were a little weird and screamed laziness. The tofu kee mao was... okay. Same for the chicken pad thai. Lots of oil. This food made us feel pretty tired after eating it, which I've rarely experienced eating Thai cuisine. And they were very, very stingy with the protein. My husband counted 4-5 little slivers of chicken and hella noodles. The same was true for my tofu dish. I mean... it's tofu y'all. Cheap. But I can imagine they have to cut these corners because there were about 8 staff members running around in a small space with only a few customers in for happy hour. They do have HH deals on drinks depending on the day, but I found the drinks to be overpriced and not worth it. Especially the beer. And a $10 non-alcoholic cocktail is wild imo, especially for the scanty area this area is in. They are certainly milking the fact that they are in eyeshot of the Mercedes Benz stadium. The inside is beautiful and very ~trendy~ and honestly that tells me exactly where the focus is. I'd rate this a 2, but I'm adding a star for the spotless restrooms.

It wasn't clear that parking is validated if you pay at one of the stalls using the QR code. The restaurant was fairly quiet and empty when we arrived, and we had a reservation. We were seated directly next to the kitchen where it was loud and noisy, which was an interesting choice since there were so many empty tables everywhere else. The food was just ok in my opinion. The best thing we ate was the appetizer, which was the crab curry vermicelli bites. It was delicious and flavorful. For main entrees, we ordered pad see ew and pad woon sen, both with chicken. Both were very underwhelming. The flavor profile just wasn't there in my opinion. We asked for three stars of spicy, and the pad woon sen came out with red tinted noodles and extra sauce on the side, which tasted like it was supposed to be hot sauce? It's hard to describe, but the noodles tasted superficially spicy if that makes sense. It tasted like they flavored it to look spicy, but it wasn't spicy in the traditional sense. There were no chili flakes or oils that were incorporated into the dish and it wasn't offered as a side, which is typically my experience at Thai restaurants. The portions were also relatively small for their price tags in my opinion. Two entrees and one appetizer (no drinks) ended up being in the $80s. Also for being an "upscale" Thai restaurant, more authentic touches would have been nice. For example, chopsticks weren't offered at the table when we were seated or when they brought our food out. We had to flag down our waiter and had to specifically request it, and we got disposable chopsticks. Again, not a huge deal, but in my experience at upscale Thai restaurants, they usually offer proper, reusable chopsticks along with other silverware. Overall, this place was a miss for me, given the flavors and the food for the cost.

My palate tends to lean toward lighter flavors. The food was good overall. Nothing to complain about, but nothing really stood out as amazing either. We had: - Strawberry Creamy Mocktail: a bit too syrupy for me. - Black Mussels: the mussels were a little dry and didn't taste very fresh. The dish was also too salty for my taste. - Fried Gyoza - Satay Chicken - Tiger Prawns & Scallops - Roti Bread: we ordered this as a side without curry. - Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Overall, it's a nice place with really good service and beautiful decor. Although the food didn't quite work for my palate, it will probably suit people who enjoy stronger and more heavily seasoned flavors. I would still recommend giving it a try, especially for the atmosphere and excellent service.

That said, this might be my last meal on the planet if I had to choose: Pork Larb w cabbage, Papaya salad, and a side of jasmine rice. I am giving this place 5 stars for their authentic flavor and beautiful presentation. They did not have pork Larb and I will not Complain bc the chicken was fabulous. and to put the whole peanuts in the papaya salad! It's the best I've ever had. Im happy that I found a way to give you all a good review bc you have the friendliest and most welcome staff too! Thank you! Cindy.

I had absolutely no idea when I walked into Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft on July 29 that I would be…read moredining there during its final week after 16 years in Atlanta. Four days later, Tuk Tuk closed its doors for good. What an unexpected and bittersweet discovery. And I'm so glad I got to experience it. From the moment you walked into the downstairs foyer and saw the tuk-tuk, you knew this wasn't going to be an ordinary Thai restaurant. Take the stairs or elevator to the second-floor dining room and suddenly you're transported. The space was stylish, warm and beautifully done, with wonderful details throughout. We started with an ice-cold Paper Plane cocktail, perfectly made and a lovely beginning to dinner. My girlfriend and I shared the seafood garlic noodles, loaded with seafood and deeply savory. Delicious. Then we spotted the whole fish special on the chalkboard and couldn't resist. The whole fish arrived dramatically presented over garlic rice with a fresh papaya salad. It was enormous -- far more than the two of us could finish -- beautifully prepared and absolutely worth ordering. And because I will always find room for dessert, I finished with mango sticky rice. No regrets. It delivered exactly what I wanted after a Thai feast. I love Thai food. I seek it out when I travel, and meals like this are exactly why. Great Thai cooking can hit sweet, salty, sour, spicy and savory notes seemingly all at once, yet somehow remain beautifully balanced. Learning only a week later that Tuk Tuk had closed genuinely made me sad. I feel incredibly fortunate that I happened to walk through those doors one last time without knowing just how fleeting the opportunity was. After 16 years, that's quite a legacy -- and I'm grateful I got one final taste of it. Life is too short not to eat well or travel well. Get out there and find your next meal on your journey -- because sometimes the places you think will always be there simply won't be.
