So glad I found this spot while visiting Atlanta! Everything from the decor to staff was very welcoming, and the veggie pad Thai I got was delicious! I ate the whole this cos I was starving but it easily could have been 2 meals. Would definitely recommend this spot!

Tyde Tate Kitchen has officially ruined me for any other Thai basil fried rice in Atlanta and I am not mad about it. I was first introduced to their dish at their location at The Works off Chattahoochee and now that they have a standalone location closer to my house I am in heaven. This is hands down my favorite Thai basil fried rice in the city. The presentation is always beautiful and the flavor is unmatched with the perfect balance of savory basil aroma fresh vegetables and tender meat. Just a heads up it is spicy even if you order it without spice or original but it is the kind of flavorful heat that keeps you going back for more. Pro tip ask for your egg fried hard as it takes the whole dish up another notch. Between the taste presentation and consistency Tyde Tate Kitchen is a must try. Highly recommend.

If you enjoy Thai food you have you to try Tyde Tate kitchen on Mitchell St. Their food is so flavorful and yummy, I've been here 3x now. I particularly enjoy their beef salad, it's so fresh and savory, from the beef strips to the cucumber slices, onion, cilantro, tomatoes and their homemade chili lime dressing, everything is paired together perfectly. The dressing is a tad bit on the spicy side so just be mindful of that. The fried rice pad Thai style has everything you need. And the spring rolls are *chefs kiss* amazing! Whether you're dining in, taking out or ordering to go, their service is fast and kindly. It's a pretty small restaurant with limited seating so it's a great place for a quick bite to eat.

I had the chance to visit Tyde Tate for a nice Thai comfort dinner to bring back to my hotel room. I ordered the Thai basil stir-fry with shrimp. Normally, I worry about restaurants skimping on the shrimp. But Tyde Tate did not disappoint. The food tasted as delicious as it looked! Lots of rice, and plenty of shrimp. It was the perfect sweet-savory meal that left me feeling really satisfied for the rest of the night. I recommend Tyde Tate!

Tyde Tate was one of the first restaurants on my list to try when we moved to ATL. Safe to say we finally made it! The restaurant was small, intimate, super clean and not busy. I loved the little area of Thai snacks they had for you to purchase. Their menu is quite simple which I enjoyed because I am so indecisive sometimes. The bartender helped us walk through the menu. He was very attentive and was constantly juicing lemons for their incredible lemonade. We sat at the bar and ordered the spring rolls, shrimp rolls, Pad Thai, and Pad See Ew. The springs rolls and shrimp rolls were the highlight of the show and sauce in the side was fire. I have very high expectations of Pad Thai because of a restaurant in my home town needless to say this was one of the better Pad Thai's I had but still a little too "peanuty" for me. My husband's Pad See Ew was phenomenal and fresh and shrimp were very fresh in both dishes. Side note I found it every odd that they handed us paper plates and cups to drink out of but to each their own. I guess that's less dishes for them. I cannot remember the name of the drink we ordered but it was bourbon and their lemonade and it was pretty refreshing. I decided to even take a lemonade to go. Overall I cannot wait to try their Panang Curry and Basil Chicken. See you soon TTK!

This spot is located right down the street from Mercedes Benz stadium. This place has very good Thai dishes that doesn't lack any seasoning or flavor. I first came here a couple of months ago and really enjoyed the food. I came here recently got the Thai fried rice dish with a fried egg on top. Be mindful that's the spice level is there and very good. I got the vegetable egg rolls and that was good as well. Ambiance is quaint and can be for working folks and those who are doing their 5-9 and looking for happy hour. This place has an open bar. Overall good food for those who work/are in the downtown area.

One of my favorite go-to spots for good Thai food near the house! Beautiful, clean and modern interior! Super friendly staff! Street parking is available at paid meters. I love the minced chicken over rice and their fried rice. My daughter loves the chicken satay. The soup is pretty good too. I always have to order to Thai tea - it's delicious!

Despite the absence of customers in the kitchen/order counter photo, TTK was bustling. The food was great - fresh, well balanced flavors. Service was great and the bar is well curated. Modern look, efficient in all aspects. Busy, welcoming, and great atmosphere.

I went to Tyde Tate today to pick up a late lunch. The tom kha soup was salty, but still so good. The spring rolls and curry puff was sooooo tasty and flavorful. They forgot to include my Coke Zero, so I had to walk back to get it.

Walking in, the place was clean and spacious. Employees were friendly and explained our options and recommended a few dishes. The pad Thai, curry puffs and even the lemonade were outstanding. Will surely return whenever back in the Atlanta area. Well worth the stop!!

I went with my coworker for lunch & we really enjoyed it! The restaurant has a cute quaint vibe to it. If you're gong for lunch, go early bcuz seating is limited. The service was fast & the staff was very friendly. The food came out hot & fresh. I ordered the Panang Curry Beef w/ a side of rice. The broth was tasty & SPICY! The beef was a little chewy but not bad. It was enough for 2 meals for me. Overall, 4.5/5. The Thai tea was good but not very sweet. If you like SWEET Thai tea, you may want to pass. Overall, 4/5. My coworker had the Pad See Ew & enjoyed it. I will definitely go back!

They encourage you to use your phone to order and pay from your table, which works well enough. I only got to try the panang curry with seafood, and found it quite good, though the portion was a bit small for the price. Still, the quality of the seafood was high, and the meal was satisfying. As extensive as the menu is, though, they don't really have many stir-fry + rice dishes (like pad pak), which are usually my go-to with Thai food, so while I would return, I probably won't do so often.

Alex and I decided to share their massaman curry and pad see ew and I also got their nom yen as a drink to try something new. The massaman curry was definitely my favorite of the two dishes and I thought the heat was perfect, but the pad see ew was great if you want a noodle option. The roti was also a great app to dip into the curry. I ended the night with some mango sticky rice. I thought it was pretty good, but standard for sticky rice. Since it's close to me I'll definitely be back, and I would definitely recommend Tum Pok Pok if you're in the area!

It wasn't clear that parking is validated if you pay at one of the stalls using the QR code. The restaurant was fairly quiet and empty when we arrived, and we had a reservation. We were seated directly next to the kitchen where it was loud and noisy, which was an interesting choice since there were so many empty tables everywhere else. The food was just ok in my opinion. The best thing we ate was the appetizer, which was the crab curry vermicelli bites. It was delicious and flavorful. For main entrees, we ordered pad see ew and pad woon sen, both with chicken. Both were very underwhelming. The flavor profile just wasn't there in my opinion. We asked for three stars of spicy, and the pad woon sen came out with red tinted noodles and extra sauce on the side, which tasted like it was supposed to be hot sauce? It's hard to describe, but the noodles tasted superficially spicy if that makes sense. It tasted like they flavored it to look spicy, but it wasn't spicy in the traditional sense. There were no chili flakes or oils that were incorporated into the dish and it wasn't offered as a side, which is typically my experience at Thai restaurants. The portions were also relatively small for their price tags in my opinion. Two entrees and one appetizer (no drinks) ended up being in the $80s. Also for being an "upscale" Thai restaurant, more authentic touches would have been nice. For example, chopsticks weren't offered at the table when we were seated or when they brought our food out. We had to flag down our waiter and had to specifically request it, and we got disposable chopsticks. Again, not a huge deal, but in my experience at upscale Thai restaurants, they usually offer proper, reusable chopsticks along with other silverware. Overall, this place was a miss for me, given the flavors and the food for the cost.

The decor, especially the service, is very on point. All the servers were friendly and attentive. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with Thai cultural artifacts, and there's also a backdrop of umbrellas at the entrance that makes for a nice photo spot. The food, however, was a bit hit-or-miss for me. Most of the dishes were a little too heavily seasoned, too sweet, or too salty for my taste. My boyfriend enjoyed the food more than I did. My palate tends to lean toward lighter flavors. The food was good overall. Nothing to complain about, but nothing really stood out as amazing either. We had: - Strawberry Creamy Mocktail: a bit too syrupy for me. - Black Mussels: the mussels were a little dry and didn't taste very fresh. The dish was also too salty for my taste. - Fried Gyoza - Satay Chicken - Tiger Prawns & Scallops - Roti Bread: we ordered this as a side without curry. - Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Overall, it's a nice place with really good service and beautiful decor. Although the food didn't quite work for my palate, it will probably suit people who enjoy stronger and more heavily seasoned flavors. I would still recommend giving it a try, especially for the atmosphere and excellent service.

Four days later, Tuk Tuk closed its doors for good. What an unexpected and bittersweet discovery. And I'm so glad I got to experience it. From the moment you walked into the downstairs foyer and saw the tuk-tuk, you knew this wasn't going to be an ordinary Thai restaurant. Take the stairs or elevator to the second-floor dining room and suddenly you're transported. The space was stylish, warm and beautifully done, with wonderful details throughout. We started with an ice-cold Paper Plane cocktail, perfectly made and a lovely beginning to dinner. My girlfriend and I shared the seafood garlic noodles, loaded with seafood and deeply savory. Delicious. Then we spotted the whole fish special on the chalkboard and couldn't resist. The whole fish arrived dramatically presented over garlic rice with a fresh papaya salad. It was enormous -- far more than the two of us could finish -- beautifully prepared and absolutely worth ordering. And because I will always find room for dessert, I finished with mango sticky rice. No regrets. It delivered exactly what I wanted after a Thai feast. I love Thai food. I seek it out when I travel, and meals like this are exactly why. Great Thai cooking can hit sweet, salty, sour, spicy and savory notes seemingly all at once, yet somehow remain beautifully balanced. Learning only a week later that Tuk Tuk had closed genuinely made me sad. I feel incredibly fortunate that I happened to walk through those doors one last time without knowing just how fleeting the opportunity was. After 16 years, that's quite a legacy -- and I'm grateful I got one final taste of it. Life is too short not to eat well or travel well. Get out there and find your next meal on your journey -- because sometimes the places you think will always be there simply won't be.
