Stopped for lunch and was blown away! Service... BOOM, on target, and perfect! (Brian rocked it!) Ordered Thai Iced Tea on servers recommendation, it was ok... not great. Ordered the Honey Lemongrass Chef Specialty, and it was beautiful to look at and delicious to eat, although a bit on the sweet side. I asked for medium hot, since hot varies so much from one place to the next... and that was nice, but not hot enough. So Brian brought out the hot sauce selection. #1 Powdered Chili, plenty hot! #2 Sriracha... decent. #3 Nam Prik Pao... Oh Yeah! #4 Spicy Fish sauce.. Ok! I loaded up on #3, and the saltiness of that helped to calm down the sweetness of the sauce, and made all the flavors work in harmony. It was delicious! All the veggies were delicious... made this a somewhat healthy meal! ;) Rice was good, nothing special. Fascinating wall art... lovely stuff. I would hang in my house if I could find it. Nice clean interior, plenty of seating. I was the first one there, and the doors were actually open before their official open time. Would I go back... ABSOLUTELY!

House fried rice with shrimp

This was excellent! The food was as fresh as it comes and the service and staff were so super friendly : ) We had the wings, spring rolls, dumplings, wonton soup, Tom yum soup and house fried rice. The fried rice was the best I've ever had! Will most definitely be back!

They changed their menu since the last time we were here. Came in and seated immediately. Got our drinks and ordered our entrees. I got the garlic and black pepper chicken which is not my usual but thought I'd give a try. Ugh I should've stuck with my typical Ginger chicken. This was so bland and lacked any flavor. The chicken, I felt wasn't as big and plentiful as before either. This is still one of our fav Thai places so hopefully it was just a fluke / off day.

Spicy (Thai Level Spicy) with Duck

Our go to place for Spicy Duck Pad Thai. It's pricey ($27.50) but the portion is good for 2 people. The duck was boneless and crispy! Perfectly cooked.

Typo, or spelling by design?

Thai "Chilli" Pepper is a restaurant in search of a spell check. Don't know if their name is a typo or on purpose, but props to them for going for it. The space is very basic, without any particular Thai signifiers. The staff are nice. The service is loose. The food is good. We sampled chicken satay, papaya salad, yum salad and fresh rolls to start. They were all good- saucy to a fault. The entrees were all good too- we tried the pad Thai, drunken noodles, pork stir fry with chili and basil and the pad se-ew. The prices are reasonable. Nice place to dip in to Thai food at a moderate price. Add a star if you don't have access to Thai food in a big city.

Mild Pad See Ew with chicken!
Rachel K.

I just ordered tonight and I'm still eating my food right now, but I just had to pop in here and say this is SO GOOD. I got the pad see ew and the noodles are so flavorful even at the mild level. Also tried a bite of the pineapple fried rice (tomorrow's lunch), and I literally had to take a knee it was so tasty. Super efficient (said 30 min but had my stuff to me in 15!) and friendly staff! They also taped my drink to my bag which I super appreciate bc I've had many a doordasher leave my drink behind before Thanks so much y'all! This was 100% worth it!

Browning iceberg lettuce wedge = Lettuce Wrap ingredients

I've ordered take out from here regularly since it opened. The flavor of every dish has always been good, although the curries are on the watery side. However, I'm not at all happy with my recent order of the Thai Lettuce Wraps because I received the filler (fine) and a browning and yellow wedge of iceberg lettuce. This is bad customer service. I'm fine with a phone call and someone letting me know that they are out of a crucial ingredient and would I like a different appetizer, but, no, what I got was insulting.

The Restaurant

My family have been eating and enjoying this restaurant for 3+ years now. Tonight has changed this forever. I have never been treated so disrespectful in all my 51 years. Here is what happened: 1) 10mins on hold to place my to go order 2) Was told it'll be ready in 15mins and I waited 30mins. (I wasn't even upset) 3) I drove home and the Panang Sauce had leaked out all over the rest of the order 4) The Medium spice (which we've had before) was too spicy to even eat. So, I drive back to the restaurant to ask if they can re-make the dish. 5) the host said: THE CHEF SAID THAT WAS MEDIUM AND HE WILL NOT REMAKE IT AND NO REFUND! This was the most unprofessional thing I have ever experienced and I work in hospitality. I was so disappointed because we are extremely loyal to our restaurants. I hope you will reconsider going here in protest. Can someone please recommend another Thai Restaurant for us near Lutz.

Pumpkin curry

We finally tried the food here. I've been wanting to go to the Brandon location for some time because I was hoping it was the same chef that use to be at Arroy Thai in Wesley Chapel. The menu is the same as there and the Thai Chili Pepper in Brandon. This is a nice restaurant set up with very good social distancing and masking here. I wish they also utilized their outside space and had tables out there as well. I ordered the pumpkin curry and my husband had the pad Thai. We were both pretty happy with our meals, but I didn't remember the pumpkin curry so watery as this was. I like it thicker. Our server was great and helpful. The background music strangely enough I need to comment, but it was pretty sleepy. I feel like going out to eat is like an experience all around. I think I'd feel bad about the people working there hearing that music all day. I'd fall asleep even standing up. I think it should be a little bit more upbeat rather than sleepy and depressing, but that's just me.

This was not our first choice but the other place did not open till way too late. However this did not disappoint AT ALL. We went about an hour before closing. The only people coming in were pick up orders, door dash and Uber eats. Anyway we sat down as instructed by our fantabulos waiter. Think her name was Mary maybe Marie Hubby and I realized she looked like the lady on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. We showed her pics and she was ecstatic. Ok not only was she so lively and excited she was working those orders coming in and just genuinely pleasant. Ok the real meat and potatoes or should I say savory thai cuisine. I had the Lemongrass honey chicken and hubby had the chili duckling, sorry no pics. We had the most amazing Bangkok wings for our appetizer. Everything was delicious. The Thai tea needed some assistance but the food was pleasantly and surprisingly delicious. We will be back without a doubt. This was a random date night for hubby and I as well

You can tell so much thought went into every detail--from the cozy vibe to the way the drinks are made with so much care. The coffee is AMAZING. Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced every single time. Their specialty drinks are on another level too--creative, flavorful, and not overly sweet like most places. You can really taste the quality. And the staff? Literally the sweetest people ever. They're fast, friendly, and make you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. This isn't just a coffee shop, it's a whole experience. It's run by a group of women who feel welcoming & happy to see you, in the way they greet you and move with purpose behind the counter. Service is fast, friendly, and they make it look effortless. Their drinks? Always on point. They made me a cookie butter latte -- iced, hot, whatever it technically was -- and it was ridiculously good. Their breakfast-style bites hit the spot too. The muffins, the bagels... I can't even remember everything I've tried, but I remember it all being delicious. That's the important part. The space has this inviting brick-and-wood vibe that gives it a little "up north" feel. Comfortable seating, pleasant atmosphere, the kind of place you can sit with your thoughts or escape the house for a bit. They've also got juices and boba teas, and honestly, I haven't had a single thing from their menu that missed. If you live in the area and want a spot that feels like your spot -- freshly brewed coffee, good food, good people -- Grind Haus is it.

Duck, duck, WHITE duck! What a fun find! On a pea soup fog kind of morning, this cute and happy…read morelittle drive-thru served up sunshine. The staff... both the guy with the tablet who took my order while I was in the drive-thru line-and the gal at the window-were so warm, friendly, chill and helpful. I'd go back just to bask in their positivity! But kindness isn't the only thing on the menu. There's coffee, tea, plant-based energy drinks, Italian sodas... and dozens (I think 75) of flavors you can add to them. In a fist visit, I usually start with chai tea latte... but today I asked for suggestions and ended up with a hot hibiscus tea with added pear flavoring. It was so floral and different! Hello new year! This knocked "the usual" on its head. I'm not sure that it will end up being my favorite offering here, but yeah... here's to shaking things up! I also tried the rainbow bagel-which was pretty and tasty. I liked the chew. Next time I'll try the strawberry cream cheese with it. There are filled croissants, too... but I forgot to ask about the flavors-and you can get mini donuts, too. White Duck was founded by a couple of Seattle transplants, who wanted to bring the "two windows in a shed" model of Pacific Northwest coffee shops to the Bay Area. And that's exactly what this is-a drive thru-no indoor seating-and I didn't see any outdoor tables, either. This is grab and go. But there's parking behind the building, if you want to sit and savor a bit. The shop is way up on North Dale Mabry-near Van Dyke-on the east side, right next to a Wendy's. It wasn't busy when I first got there but there at 8:30 on a Wednesday morning, but it soon picked up. I can see why... it's so convenient and the staff is so nice. They really stand out. I can't wait to stop in again and try more! I read on the website that the owners lost a child to cancer and part of the proceeds from each purchase goes to research. Well now I just have to try all those 75 flavors! See you soon, White Duck!

The coffee shop is actually connected to some kitchen store and there is a nice little gift shop to browse while you wait on your beverage being prepared. I'm a huge fan of drip coffee and always judge a coffee shop by how they prepare this simple, yet flavorful beverage. The Perfect Press Coffee lives up to its name- their drip coffee is smooth, bold, and flavorful. I love it!

Inside this winding housing development, you'll find a small shopping plaza-gasoline on one end, dry cleaners on the other... and in between those bookends, a string of small businesses. And behind the door with all the flowers around it: Perfect Press Coffee. It's a hopping and popping kind of place. I've been there twice in the last year-and it's busy. It's a fun mix of neighborhood moms with strollers-people stopping on the way to or from work-and a few remote work workers-who thrive in the happy buzz of a booming business. To the right when you walk in: coffee, tea and sweet and/or savory small bites. There's bench seating along the wall, several small tables and two little couches in the middle. The decor is cute, cozy, modern and slightly caffeinated. It's not a huge place but it's super popular. There are tables out front on the sidewalk, too. It's busy, but the skilled baristas keep things moving. On this most recent trip, I tried the ube matcha-my first. I liked it! There were lots of tempting pastries, etc-but I had a lunch date coming up, so I stuck to just the beverage. If you decide to stop in, bonus: this business shares space with a fun kitchen store that has everything from gourmet salts and oils-fun towels and mugs-and all sorts of other items. I should have bought the cola flavored candy bar. Next time! Yes, the parking lot is a little hectic-but be patient, it comes and goes in waves-you'll get a spot. Oh! And really nice restrooms. This is worth a stop and shop. I'll be back for round three.
