This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We waited 10 minutes just to be seated. After being seated, we waited another 15 minutes before anyone took our order. We were patient because we understood it was busy, but after waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes, we still hadn't received any food--not even our appetizer. The only thing that came out was our drinks. Meanwhile, tables that were seated after us were already getting their food. We kept asking different servers to check on our order, and every time we were told, "We'll check on it," but no one ever gave us an actual update. After almost 2 hours, two servers came to our table asking about our bill, which was unbelievable because we had never received our food. A little later, another server finally admitted that the person who took our order had never entered it into the system. Their solution was to take our order again, after we had already been waiting nearly two hours. At that point, we were beyond frustrated. We told them we were leaving because we weren't about to wait another hour for food. While the staff apologized, it didn't make up for the fact that our entire time had been wasted. What made the experience even worse was that several other customers left that same time without getting their food as well. I even spoke to one table that had been waiting 3 hours before they finally gave up and left. I understand restaurants get busy, but if the kitchen is that backed up, be honest with customers before seating them. Let people know the expected wait time so they can decide whether they want to stay. Instead, we were left sitting there with no communication, no follow-up, and it honestly felt like the staff was avoiding our table. Terrible service, poor communication, and a complete waste of our time. I would not recommend this restaurant based on this experience. read more

I've eaten here before and I've always like their food. I love all the types of curry they serve with the protein of choice. But recently I feel like their red curry with prawns has been a little off. The taste is there but I feel like their red curry sauce is a bit watery looking. And I ordered it with shrimp. They're very skimpy on the protein. There was maybe three pieces of shrimp. Service is ok. The staff are friendly enough and I can't complain. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful. Walking over to this restaurant -- I gotta say -- scared me a little with the homeless and drugged out solicitors in the same block, but once you enter, you are transported to THE nicest Thai service and food ever! We are are talking bowing when they say thank you for coming, and they are smiling, making eye contact, and mean it. They are the nicest people! And the food is scrumptious!!!! They seem to put care into the cooking and preparation, they bring out the food promptly, they notice everything and come by frequently whenever the suspect you may need something, and they do it all with a respectful and genuine smile. It was plated very nicely with all the ingredients separate. I guess it was fun to mix it all together. It tasted great. I liked that the pepper was on the side so you can add as much as you want. I added all of it and it gave the dish a nice kick. Only complaint is there wasn't very much egg. But all that for just $15 before tax/tip. We ordered the egg rolls, crispy pork, and pad kee mow. The egg rolls were homemade, which we could tell by the freshness of veggies and noodles inside. It was pretty oily though, but that's understandable since it is deep fried. The pad kee now was also great, but again, pretty oily. The crispy pork was tasty, though not super crispy because of the sauce. Overall, I think the food was great. If they can have less oil, then this would be a 5 star! read more

But it failed the pad thai test. Pad thai is my barometer for Thai restaurants. If they can make a good pad thai, chances are that everything else is great. Like if a Chinese restaurant can make a good fried rice, if an American restaurant can make a decent burger. The basics. The pad thai here barely had any of the tangy taste that the dish is famous for. It was very light. And the chicken was straightout bland. There were no nuts. So disappointing. At least the noodles were cooked to a good consistency. There was only one server during lunch who was kinda slow but friendly. I'm happy to be one of the first to leave a review on this new corner spot. I walked over here to have a quick study break and small dinner, and let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. TL;DR: Ambiance (4.5/5), Food (4.5/5), Service (4.5/5) The ambiance seems well suited for a relaxing date night or dinner with the family. The interior is beautiful. The aesthetic highlight is the large mural that runs across an entire wall. The lighting was dimmed and piano lounge music played overhead. One staff member was talking on speaker phone full volume, however, which slightly cut through the otherwise nice ambiance. As I was just having a quick dinner break, I only ordered a few items off of the menu, but everything I ordered was good, if not great. Clam coconut basil soup: Sweet coconut flavor with the right amount of lime tang while also being able to taste the clams. Apart from the aroma, however, the rice could have benefitted from more coconut flavor. 4/5 Steamed vegetables: Just a side of steamed vegetables cause I need to be more regular. Nothing flashy. Overall, the food was delicious with decently sized portions and reasonable prices. I'm excited to come back and try some of their other items. When it comes to the service, I was greeted with smiles from the staff that lasted throughout my experience. I won't presume any of them were the owner(s), but I could tell as they have just opened, they were all eager to help and were very attentive. However, while none of my experience was bad, I could feel the inexperience in the way they took my order and handled the plates. Problems, I'm sure, that will go away over time as they get settled in. All-in-all, great ambiance, great food, great service. I'm glad this place opened right by me.
