Such a cute space in Gretna with delicious Thai food! My dish had chicken, cashews and veggies with a savory sauce served with jasmine rice, I even had leftovers as a snack for later! My server Jenn was so attentive and outgoing, all the staff were amazing, I'll be back again soon!

Wow... I was struggling to pick a food truck and quickly searched Thai Djing on Yelp. my fellow Yelpers did not disappoint! New Orleans isn't known for its Thai food but that food truck is seriously amazing. The service was great and fast. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and the Thai tea. Huge portions for one person, I shared it with my boyfriend and he loved it also. You can taste all of the flavorful goodness, the crushed nuts give it a totally different taste and the limes. I recommend this place to EVERYONE! Also the price is super affordable ! Can't wait to come back !

It is always an internal struggle on Wednesday and Thursday to forgo this gem lined up on Tulane ave. The chicken pad thai ($7) is absolutely delicious, great flavor, and the serving is huge. It could easily be rationed into two meals but of course I couldn't resist and scarfed down the whole thing. Side note- I love the crushed peanuts and limes on the side.

    The truck!

Thai Djing is the best food truck in New Orleans! They are usually parked at either Tulane medical center or LSU medical center during the week or at the Gretna farmers market on Saturdays! If you see them around town, definitely go check them out! The menu is small but awesome! I stick to their chicken pad thai, which is delicious and huge (and only $7!) The people working there are always really friendly! If you go during peak lunch time there will be a long line but it's worth the wait and it moves relatively quickly! I would suggest going between 1 and 2 to have a shorter wait time! I'm seriously obsessed with this food truck and hope that they open a restaurant soon! Every Wednesday and Thursday we look forward to eating from this truck while at work (Tulane Medical Center)! It's the highlight of our day...having a bad work day? Let's go get thai! Depressed after election day? Let's go to the thai truck! It's hump day? Go get thai! The pad thai is one of the best I've ever had. The spice level is just right and with a squeeze of lemon...Mmmm. It's $10 for the shrimp pad thai which seems like a lot, but the serving size is big and usually I can get 2 meals out of it. The lines can get pretty long, but they're decently fast at getting the food out. Also saw that they have their sauces at a couple local grocery stores which is pretty cool.

Big flavor from a small truck. I personally went with the shrimp pad thai but I did see quite a few people getting the chicken Pad Thai as well. Usually a line but worth the wait. Fast service good people great place for a quick bite.

I thought we were going to another place when one of my guests suggested Thaihey across the street from the fire station on Decatur. Yes, sure. It's a typical Quarter restaurant with its long gallery seating. We were seated right away. The menu appeared to be heavily vegetarian which was great for my two friends. Many will understand the limited menu options for vegetarians at most places. Wes ordered Tom Kai, Becky the Massaman Jackfruit option and I the one with short rib. It was delicious. It was warm and comforting, full of flavor and the chef made it less spicy for me. What a delight to choose a menu option that I have never had and restaurant that I have never been to. You believe that I'll return for certain. Especially for that gorgeous Mai Tai!

With that out of the way, choosing tofu as the protein opens up almost the entire menu, very nice. We had Pad Thai, Pad Cha stir fry, and tofu soup. All were very well seasoned and outstanding. We ate at the sidewalk seating on a glorious evening. Not much more to say. Order at the counter, get a number, find a table, food will be delivered and the table cleared. When we arrived there was a line out the door (maybe 20-25 yards); this line was constant from the time we arrived til we departed. Thai food can sometimes be hit or miss for me, and I'm usually pretty particular about what I order. I don't tend to branch out too much when it comes to Thai food because I already know what I like. But this place definitely impressed me. From the rice dishes to the noodle dishes, everything was seasoned perfectly and packed with flavor. Each bite was delicious, and I really enjoyed how well-balanced all the flavors were. It was the kind of meal where you just keep eating and forget you were supposed to take pictures in the first place! The restaurant itself is spacious and has a really beautiful aesthetic. I loved the combination of the artwork and exposed brick walls. Together, they create this rustic, cozy feel that makes the space feel both stylish and inviting. The ordering process is pretty simple. They give you a menu when you arrive, and then you head up to the register to place your order and pay. The food came out surprisingly quickly, which was definitely a plus because I was hungry! Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. The food was flavorful, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was quick and easy. I'm glad I decided to give this place a try, and I'd definitely come back to enjoy another meal here.
