Love this cute place. Food is authentic. The staff is nice and friendly. Parking space is limited.

Thai food cravings definitely satisfied! Went with a few friends on a late Thursday afternoon. The interior was really cute and cozy but also really small. However, they did have outdoor seating! There was only like one parking spot available in front of the business, so you can try parking at Sprouts but you didn't hear it from me What we got: - Pad see ew, which was a decent portion size for $15. Good ratio of veggies to protein! - Yellow curry was creamy and savory! Comes with a serving of rice for $15 - Panang curry had some kick to it and was creamy and super flavorful! It had a lot of beef chunks as well, which I appreciated. Also comes with a serving of rice for $15 Overall, this restaurant is a solid choice for Thai food with reasonable prices. Our server was attentive and nice as well :) I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu!

We wish we could give this lovely spot over 5 stars! Our server was incredibly kind, warm and so sweet! We ordered a Thai tea with almond milk, house fried rice, pineapple fried rice, crying tiger, pad see ew, tom yum soup, and mango sticky rice! Every single dish was so flavorful, delicious, and comforting!! We ordered 6 dishes and a drink for 3 people. Took home leftovers and our total was only ~$ 109 before tipping which was such a good deal considering how yummy and well portioned everything was! The food is truly INCREDIBLE. Such a gem of an experience dining here. We will be back to try their many other dishes!! Thank you Thai Fresh!

    Pork Toro a La Carte

Food was amazing! Everything I ordered was full of flavor, fresh and felt light. Most of the dishes were to share between 6 and everyone loved it. The price was great for the portions served. The highlights were the pork toro & the spicy beef salad.

I had the Pad-See-Ew (flat rice noodles stir-fried with egg in sweet soy sauce and Chinese broccoli), which was delicious. Their Thai iced tea is also refreshing. The service is friendly, and it appears family-owned. Prices are super reasonable. Although the restaurant is small, with only about 4-5 tables inside and a couple of tables outside, and the parking lot is tiny with limited spaces, it's worth the visit. The name "Fresh" is well represented by the food quality. Despite not living near Westwood, I'll be coming back again whenever I'm in the area.

Yellow Curry Chicken Thai iced tea (Will not be finishing either one) Literally want my money back!

I always try to find new places to eat yellow curry chicken! But from here I'm sorry but never again!! It was seriously nothing special at all it almost had no flavor carrots were undercooked potatoes were undercooked oh and rice was overcooked and it was $17! I pay way less then that for the curry and rice at a hole in the wall place and it is SO much better! I could not even finish it and will not be finishing it. There also wasn't much broth I usually have a good amount of broth and even the mushy rice was able to soak up whatever broth I did have. And the Thai iced tea was not the best..like how do you even mess up Thai iced tea up!! I Literally want my money back!! Out total was $70 cause we did get beef fried rice for my daughter and we pay less than $50 at the other place for more food and better tasting!

I've been craving Thai food for awhile, so I really wanted to check this place out! My friend and I ordered the pad kee mao, yellow curry, and mango sticky rice. The pad kee mao was good but nothing special :oo the yellow curry was sweet and good, but I feel that they could've had more chicken or vegetables in it. Mango sticky rice was good!! Mangoes were ripe and rice was good amount of sweet. Good portions. The atmosphere is nice; slightly dark inside but it was nice to eat in. The service.. was not great. When my friend and I walked in and asked for a table of two, the waitress took awhile even though there were open tables and moved slowly as if she didn't want us to sit. She was a bit rude when I had a small question and rushed us towards the end even though there was no one waiting on us and it was not closing time yet. My friend and I always felt awkward when she was around. /: never smiled and felt like we weren't welcomed. Not sure if I'll come back because of that alone

If you remove all the inedible parts from the seafood soup, there's almost nothing left--just two shrimp and two octopus tentacles.
    Vaghinak H.

I was not satisfied. Why can't I order a half-portion? The waitress told me that even if she brings me a half-portion, I still have to pay for the full one. Why? And why did she say it in such an unfriendly way, as if I were asking for something completely unreasonable?

DELICIOUS!!!!! I read bad reviews but we had a Great Experience!! :) The delivery was supposed to be in by 9:10pm-9:20pm and they showed up at 8:55pm! I asked for it spicy (x3) so that its Hot (but not too hot) and it was PERFECT!! Sometimes Thai restaurants make it super spicy and sometimes its barely spicy, but Thai Fresh made it Just how my Wife and I Love it!! We will definitely be ordering here every trip we make passing by! Regarding the service, dropping off the order was smooth and the man was polite & friendly :) My Favorite was the Green Curry & my Wife Loved the Yellow Curry. Make sure to get the Spicy Noodles (Pad Kee Mao)!!! The curry comes with complimentary white rice. (It was so tasty that i kept eating and almost forgot to take pictures...)

I work two doors down and decided to finally try it for lunch.... Why have I not come sooner?!? Omg DELICIOUS!!! Customer service was great, the lady that welcomed us & took our order was so sweet and adorable. The ambiance is so cozy, I absolutely love the cute decor & the wooden walls. The food was amazing, everything so flavorful and fresh. I didn't get to take a picture of the rest of my food because I literally inhaled it . 10/10 deff coming back!

Very cute intimate Thai spot, with nice service and overall good food! We got the Tom Kha Soup with just the right amount of mushrooms. As well as the pad Thai!

The regular menu is quite expensive with the cheapest at $17 for appetizer and salad options and most expensive at a whooping $80. The lunch menu was more affordable but still on the pricey side $21-$32 with add on options. The waitress was taking our orders and what surprised me was with my co-worker ordered the pad see ew and the waitress asked her how spicy she wants it. I was aw shocked. I'm not a Thai food expert but I do know pad see ew is a noodles dish that's offers a sweet soy sauce flavor. Never served spicy. I didn't get to try the dish but when I asked my co worker how it taste she said it was spicy and not sweet at all. I'm not sure that was an authentic pad see ew. I ordered from the lunch menu and got the tumeric chicken, with steamed vegetables and paid extra $7 to substitute for a papaya salad. I asked for #2 spice level but it was not spicy at all. Other co workers said they asked for medium but it was way too spicy. So it looks like their spicy levels are inconsistent. I'm not sure how this restaurant can justify the prices with the quality they are serving. Probably won't be back. Service was mediocre. Didn't offer to refill our waters. Parking is metered parking or paid lot.

I felt like I came to eat and my mom's house. They take Debit Card and Apple Pay WITH a pin only. I forgot my wallet and paid with Apple Pay. It did not have a place for tip which made me feel awful. At the end I apologized and she was like "it's ok, next time." And she was genuinely fine with it. She reassured me not to worry about it. So I'm determined to come back to tip her because if anybody deserved a tip it was her. I ordered Pad Thai with tofu- I like to order peanut sauce on the side and the woman found it interesting and struck a non judgmental conversion about it. I could really tell she was genuinely curious. This was my favorite dish. It was good. I also ordered spicy fried rice with tofu and spicy panang curry with vegetables. I chose 4 out of a 6 for spicy and it was not spicy at all for me. The rice was fine, nothing extraordinary and nothing bad. The panang curry was yummy. I don't know if it's regional but it was very light in taste and light in thickness. BUT I enjoyed it for what it was. Felt like I had gotten home made chicken soup or something like that comforting and not overly processed. Maybe it's because I ordered it with no protein and just vegetables. I ordered a lot of food so I explained to her that I was going to eat some and take the rest to go. When she brought the food she brought it nicely packed without a bag. She also brought me a real plate and utensils to eat here. She let me know that when I was ready she'd bring a bag which I thought was thoughtful. She also made sure to say "take your time, no need to rush. We close at 8" and it was 5pm. Again, it felt genuinely nurturing, she wanted to make sure I felt taken care of and welcomed. It meant a lot because I was frazzled from forgetting my wallet and from having a hard day at work. This was my first time here and it won't be my last. There is a small lot on site. Prices were very reasonable.

This place is by far my favorite Thai restaurant and that's why it's so disheartening to write this…read morereview. I have written at least 2 glowing reviews of the restaurant in the past and wish this could be one of them, but it's not. Over the last 4-5 days I have tried no less than 2 dozen times to call the restaurant during proper business hours to order food for pick-up as I often do. The phone rang and rang to no avail. I live too far from the restaurant to just pop up and place an order so I rely on calling ahead. I have been a customer of this restaurant for at least the last 9 years and have almost never had the aforementioned experience. Though I do recall not being able to get a call through several times on one or two occasions in the relatively distant past. Today I was finally able to get a call through and began placing my order which includes shrimp. I ALWAYS request the tail (with shells) to be removed from the shrimp as I find it quite difficult to enjoy my meal if I'm constantly having to pick off shells with my hands. It's unsanitary and messy. Removing the tails from 15-20 shrimp prior to adding to an entree or soup should take no more than 60 seconds and that's if one is moving at a glacial pace. However, today I was told that the kitchen was too busy to honor my request. I assured the lady taking my order than I was a loyal customer and make this request will every order I place and it is always honored. She repeated her claim that the kitchen was too busy and refused to do it. I cancelled my order and ended the call. Now I usually order food from the restaurant 4-5 times a month and usually spend about $65 each time not including tip. That is approximately $325 per month of my hard earned money that I give to this restaurant in exchange for great food and service. I am appalled and quite upset that having been a loyal customer for almost a decade and spending as much money there as I do per month that they could at least honor my patronage by simply taking an additional 60 seconds in the kitchen to make my meal more enjoyable. Her refusal to do such a minuscule task has deeply soured my experience with Hoy-Ka not to mention the fact that I could not reach the restaurant for almost a week by phone for no apparent reason. I will not be going back to this restaurant until they rectify this situation.

Each time I've come the waitstaff has been super friendly, and the food amazing. So, when planning a little birthday lunch for my mom's 81st birthday, this was one of the first places I thought of. My mom lives in south LA and we live in the valley, so after picking her up, we wouldn't have to travel far to eat. Although we planned to arrive to the restaurant at 2, traffic was horrible and we arrived at 230pm. After looking for parking, I dropped the fam off at 2:40 so they could sit and look at the menu while I found parking. I get a text from my husband saying they closed at 3 so hurry. This was news to me, as I thought they closed at 5. I found parking and rushed in at 2:48, to see my family outside the restaurant. Perplexed, I went in to ask if we could still eat, as it wasn't yet 3pm. No wait staff came to the front to greet me, so I walked in a bit and asked the waiter if it was okay to eat. The waiter said we close in ten. I said I thought the website said you closed at 5. I must have read it wrong. I understand, but it's not 3 and we came a bit of a distance and it's my mom's 81st birthday. The waiter, whose name is Jack, offered to ask the kitchen if they would still make food. I said yes please would you ask? While Jack was asking, another waiter asked me if I had been helped. I told him yes, that Jack was asking the kitchen if we could still have lunch. This waiter says, we're closing in 10. I'd like to have lunch too. And walks away. Yes, with shade. Jack returns and says it's fine as long as we can order within a few minutes of getting the menu. I say great and we all come in. The 2nd waiter takes our order with the least amount of personality he possibly can, and the whole lunch is slightly awkward and we're not able to truly enjoy ourselves with the feeling of "we better hurry up and eat" lingering. By the time we ordered and received our food (which was delicious as usual) , there were still 4 other groups of customers there, and we actually left the restaurant within a minute or two after the last customers before us. Also, no one came around to ask how our food was and if we needed anything. I'm giving 3 stars because this experience didn't quite sit right with me. Yes, it was near closing, but your doors weren't closed and there was no sign saying last call/order at 2:45 or anything like that. I feel like once the kitchen approved making our lunch, customer service should have been at its peak for paying customers, who gave no attitude and tried to be as polite with the ask as possible. It was not. I still tipped 25%, because Jack (waiter 1) was polite and my 81 old mama who I was celebrating raised me that way, but I'm not sure I'll patronize them again.

The three of us opted for family style and ordered four entrees and a side of white rice to share. We ordered the stir fried crispy catfish, the sautéed morning glory, the shrimp salad, and the pad kee mao with chicken. The total came out to be about $33.28 per person including tax and 20% tip. I think that's very reasonably priced. We also did not have to wait long at all for our food, which we were so pleasantly surprised.
