This has been my go to spot for Thai and before today, I have always had a great experience dining in and with take out. I usually order the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew Beef or Shrimp, or the Crying Tiger. These dishes have always been well portioned, plentiful and yummy. Tonight, I tried something new -- The Lemon Fish and the Yellow Curry with Chicken. Didn't think I'd say this but both dishes I was extremely disappointed with. The Lemon Fish, thinking it was a whole tilapia fish (since I saw on the menu that the catfish dish is served as a whole fish), are actually just TWO thin sliced tilapia filets in a lemon soup garnished with cilantro, a pinch of julienned carrots, and 2 lemon wedges. Although, per the menu's description - says it's "topped" with the Chef's special LIME SAUCE. No vegetables added, no rice, just the 2 small filets in lemon soup... for $19.95. My review: Two words = Rip Off. Taste wise? Fish was bland and the soup was practically lemon and lime water. The Yellow Curry with Chicken was enough to feed a child. There were about 6 thinly sliced and small chicken pieces, 3 potatoes and 4 thinly sliced carrots, with a lot of curry sauce. The photos in yelp for this dish, show a mountain of chicken potatoes and carrots stacked in the serving dish. Mine however was all curry sauce... for $12.95. Taste wise? The curry sauce was amazing, but another rip off. I spoke with the manager and he said that all he could do was refund me half of the Curry dish ($6.47). He said that is the portioning that everyone gets, despite me explaining to him the difference of pictures from yelp. 1 star for the poor customer service from the manager, rip off prices, and the poor portioning. Speaking of prices, you actually get either the same amount food or more for less money during lunch (since it comes with soup/salad/rice). Come dinner, the prices go up A LOT and you get the same portion as a lunch order, minus the salad, soup and rice. HmMmmM? read more

Americanized and a little plain, TG is a decent enough place that will satisfy your Thai craving if you are stuck in south Orange County. Mine was Pad See Yew w/pork. The spices were mild but distant, the pork was dry and unremarkable, the everything else was equally unremarkable. Good service. Place was packed, so everyone else loved it. read more

We came here one night because we were really craving Thai food. Drinkswise, we got the usual Thai Tea and Thai coffee, which were not sweet and very sweet respectively. If you are not local and just pass by - the place looks closed, with covered windows. But once we opened the door the place was packed! Had to wait for a table of 4, since my friends didn't want to seat at the bar. I was happy they had my favorite Chinese beer Tsing Tao so I was OK with the long wait to order and get the food, I'm patient when its busy. I got the Pad See-Ew with both chicken and tofu and it was delicious! Not as spicy as I expected or preferred, but good. We also shared some spring rolls, and some cabbage salad, both very good. It took a really long time to get the food even though we were the only ones in the restaurant and ordered near to nothing. The waiter was very rude and tried to charge us $6 for a small side of brown rice. The yellow curry and the fresh rolls were the only good things about this place. The pad thai is the worst thing about this place and I am a pad thai enthusiast. The teriyaki chicken was in a soup...I didn't ask for it in a soup. Lights were bad quality and went out a handful of times. It smelt like burnt rubber which obviously gave off a disgusting vibe. They stole my credit card and I had to cancel my card. I then looked at the reviews and saw that somebody else's credit card got hacked and they also had to cancel their card. In conclusion, never coming to this place again. read more

Went back to try it again and food was just as good as my previous visit. Ordered the spicy basil noodle with chicken and yellow curry with pork this time around. We thoroughly enjoyed both items. Also ordered shrimp sa rong for appetizer, it was good as well. I think on my next visit I'll skip the apps, they're not bad but not mind blowing either. In an area where Thai food isn't abundant - Thai Garden kind of shines. I mean, it basically has a monopoly around the area as it is the closest Thai place to a lot of companies around it. But, just being the closest restaurant of its kind, doesn't mean it shines. I've had a few different dishes here and none of them have really wow'd me. The crying tiger has a good grill flavor to it, but the meat is very chewy. The sauce that accompanies it also feels rather diluted without a potent citrus flavor. The pad thai was...I don't even really know how to describe it - really wet? It seemed like it could use more cooking to really absorb the flavors of the sauce, but it just seemed sort of wet. Overall, the food isn't fantastic, it's decent at best. I would much rather make the trek to Thai Corner on El Toro over this place. read more

Nestled in an expansive business park, it's one of the better Thai restaurants in the Lake Forest/Foothill Ranch area. The restaurant is modern, clean and very spacious, perfect for large groups. They close for 2 hours everyday at 2:30PM to transition from their lunch to dinner menu. All the food is made to order and you can add or subtract items to customize your dish. You can also choose the level of spiciness on your dish, from a scale of 1-10. Most of their spicy dishes have a spice level of 3, but this place underrates their scale, so adjust accordingly based on how much heat you can handle. The menu is fairly comprehensive, offering all the traditional dishes you're familiar with, as well as some that you may not have heard of before. Beer and wine options are available, and there's a bar area with a TV if you don't like interacting with people. If you come in for lunch, you're offered their soup of the day, but it's only available if you dine in. Most of the dishes lets you pick what protein you'd like. Standard options are chicken, pork, tofu or veggies. You can pay extra for beef or seafood. I'd recommend the beef and chicken. I've had several of their dishes here: the pad thai with chicken, spicy basil noodles with beef, BBQ pork fried rice (I've added shrimp to this), and the crying tiger. All the dishes are nicely prepared, seasoned well, and have lots of veggies. The portions are average sized, meaning it'll fill you up without making you too lethargic after. Out of everything I've tried, my favorite is the BBQ pork fried rice. However, my chief complaint with all the dishes is that they're too wet. The fried rice and noodles all have a tendency to clump together. The flat noodles are too short and not chewy enough. The crying tiger imparts a good grill flavor in the meat, but meat itself is a bit chewy, and the dipping sauce needs to have more of a citrus taste to it. Every dish is decently executed and stays true to the traditional Thai flavors, but it doesn't particularly wow you. I wish they were more generous with their noodles and proteins, but the dishes are good enough to keep me coming back whenever I'm in the mood for the cuisine. read more

I get there and there's one person taking care of the mass of online orders and many people were getting ignored. Let me preface this review by saying I didn't get an opportunity to try their food. If you don't want to read much further, just make sure if you are ordering to-go, understand that when they tell you your food will be ready in 20 mins, it could be wildly untrue. I ordered takeout over the phone on Mother's Day and they told me the order would be ready in 20 mins. My mom was hungry but she could wait 20 mins. I arrived to the store 20 mins later to a huge line outside. COVID-19 is still going on so understandably people aren't allowed to dine-in. However, a line to pick up your food is a bit ridiculous. They weren't calling out orders that were ready. It was literally a line to find out whether your food was ready for pickup. It quickly became clear that I wasn't going to get my food right away, but I was prepared to wait a bit because "we're all in this together," right? Well I started getting concerned when I heard people loudly complaining they ordered an hour and a half ago and didn't have their food, even though they were told "20 mins." This meant that they ordered an hour before me. I felt I was pot committed at this point and stood waiting for my food for about 75 mins after I had made the order. I finally gave up and asked them to cancel my order. (I hadn't paid yet but I didn't want them to make food that would end up in the trash). The woman asked for my name and then couldn't locate it from the pile of scattered receipts all over her counter. Imagine as a kid when someone told you to play 52 pickup with a deck of cards, but instead they're receipts. It was clear to me then I wouldn't have gotten my food had I waited another hour because they were so unorganized. I get COVID-19 has made it a tough situation for everyone. I even understand how one can get swamped and disorganized because they weren't prepared. I debated whether to give this review given the circumstances. But what I can't tolerate is lying. They clearly knew they weren't getting orders done in 20 mins but they were still telling customers that hoping they'd come and wait it out. They also take orders online where you prepay, and it was clear that they were prioritizing those people. read more

We Ordered fried rice and Pad Thai. The rice was good but their Pad Thai is not traditional. We've had PT many times and although the taste may differ from place to place, the basic recipe is the same. Not here. The dish has a reddish hue to it. They do not use peanuts and it's flavor is what tastes more like sweet tomato sauce and has no peanut flavor at all. It was a huge disappointment and we will not return. read more

Ok so I've been looking for a Place with really good Thai food and I think I found it. I ordered online for pick-up but there is indoor seating. I ordered Pad Thai with chicken and you can even choose different types of protein. The good thing about this place is that you could also choose the level of how spicy you want it and it goes from 1 to 10. The employees were super nice when I picked up my food. They made sure that there were napkins and utensils inside the bag. The food was delicious and I'm craving for more already. read more

Not salty enough, savory enough, or spicy enough. I'm mad at myself for forgetting to tell them I didn't want the lunch special so my main course portions were very small. I am still hungry.
