This Thai Restaurant bills itself on their website as the "Best Thai Food in Orange County." Before ordering I asked the woman running the restaurant if this is truly the Best Thai Restaurant in Orange County. She confirmed that it was. While I have not dined at all OC Thai restaurants to compare, they did a great job here and I would come back. My Spicy eggplant with chicken and brown rice was excellent. The portion size was above average which is critical for this guy that burns through food like a Ford F350 burns through gasoline. They gave and adequate amount of veggies (and you cannot have too many veggies in this dish especially peppers) and a good portion of chicken. You choose spice level on a scale of 1 to 10. I picked 3 as a guess and would not go much higher than that next time. Their brown rice is incredible--you will not find better anywhere. Service is efficient, respectful but no time to sit at your table and chat with you. One Asian woman was serving the entire restaurant and the pickups and did a great job. She was as efficient as 3 teens combined at any retail store. LOL But don't come here if you are in a mad rush. I really liked the atmosphere here. While the place in general could use a deep cleaning during their closed day I really liked the atmosphere inside which they kept cooler on a hot day (bring an extra shirt or jacket). Good place for dining alone, friends meal, family, date night or pre-romantic dinner. Everyone will feel comfortable here. My boyfriend and I stopped by Spice Thai for my first Thai Curry experience. I asked if I could try a small tasting of the curries they offered and our waitress was so sweet to bring me a small sample of a few to try them out. I LOVED the yellow curry, chicken added & rice. My boyfriend got the drunken noodles, and we both split the egg roll appetizer. Order the Crying Tiger and you won't regret it! I usually don't order this when eating out for Thai but here it's absolutely delicious. But based on trying their other dishes such as Spicy Basil noodles or Pad See Ew, I would pass on everything else. I've come here for lunch and always ordered the Crying Tiger. But when I ordered their dinner portion of the same dish, I was disappointed. Not because of the quality or taste, which has been consistently good, but because the portion size is the same as what you get during lunch but you pay $6 more. That's not cool. Sadly I ordered five meals and appetizers for our family dinner tonight. NONE of the meals had the correct spice levels ordered, every meal was overcooked, and we've eaten here before and the meal was "just OK" but our son lives two blocks away and he said he'd pick it up since he'd be joining us. I ordered the Spicy Basil Fried Rice and Thai Egg Rolls for takeout. I looked in my bag before leaving and noticed no utensils. If I hadn't looked in the bag, I would have gotten back to my hotel room with nothing to eat my food with. I got back to my hotel room started eating my rice and wondered where all the heat and flavor was. I looked at my receipt and noticed they put down Thai Fried Rice. Almost no flavor to the rice. The carrots in the rice were the most flavorful thing. The Thai Egg Rolls were mostly chicken (almost nothing else) but ok flavor. The dipping sauce was really good though. Will not go back again. Really cute little place with lots of seating and good service, our server Kaylin was very nice and attentive even though the restaurant was busy Food was really yummy and with relatively decent portion sizing, my favorite dish was the beef lime salad! The beef was really tender, also I was told people ask for extra of the sauce and for good reason, I just wished it had a spicy kick to it but definitely would order again! Another great spot on the LF gift card spot! My wife has been coming here for a while since it's close to her work and agreed, it's worth eating. Some of our favorites are the curries, pad see ewe, and soups. Crying tiger wasn't bad too but there's another Thai place we like it more from. They have a nice lunch special as well. Spice Thai is perfect. Quality food, amazing service that is fast and friendly and fair prices. I grabbed lunch with my bestie and her husband and we loved our food. We got lunch specials which came with a delicious soup followed by generously sized entrees. The Crying Tiger was perfection- the beef is tender and so flavorful. My yellow curry was so tasty and the chicken was awesome. My friends Pad See You was also fantastic and the salad that comes with the lunch special is SO GOO. We came in for lunch on a weekday and it was not too busy, but a decent number of customers. There's quite a good number of options on lunch menu, which include soup, salad and rice. The soup especially stood out, it was delicious broth and included rice noodles, a nice bonus to an already decent lunch set. Salad and rice come on the plate with your selected entree, we choose the pad thai and spicy eggplant. The pad thai had a unique flavor, not bad, but not our favorite either. The taste was different from other Thai places, tasted more sour. We ordered it with tofu, and we weren't used to having a spiced marinated tofu in there, so would have preferred a more standard tofu, but the issue I found with this dish was that some of the tofu was not hot, some pieces even tasted a little cold inside so for that fact alone, it made the dish hard to appreciate, and I had to take a star off for that. The eggplant was fine, a little on the oily side, quite a large portion of onions and peppers - would have have appreciate more eggplant or other vegetables, but it was okay. The salad was also good. Service and prices were also fine, not one of the cheaper Thai lunches in the area, but it's not the most expensive either. Since there's still lots to try on the menu, we'll probably come back someday and see if there's something else we can try. read more

Just had lunch here, and it was great!!!! I have absolutely no complaints. The food was fresh, well prepared, presented, and tasted fantastic. I got the Crying Tiger this time, but in the past I've also had the Pad Thai (with chicken). Both are phenomenal and make my lunch hours very enjoyable. The beef was really tender and that's about all I could ask for. The flavor mostly comes from the sauce provided with the plate. I thought the rice was overcooked for sure. My only point of criticism, but I figure that it's not always like that. It happens! I can tell you from experience that both takeout and dine-in are great quality. The service is quick and attentive. Comfortable atmosphere that leaves nothing to be desired. When you eat in, you get a small bowl of soup too. Not sure what it's called. I live in Utah, but I crave this Thai food, so I make sure to go when I visit my parents. My favorite is the pineapple curry (we always add Thai basil). All the curry I've had is amazing. I like spice level 2 or 3 because it's spicy enough, but not so spicy it takes over the meal. The basil noodles are also good, but not quite as flavorful. We just got take out from this restaurant. We haven't eaten yet been eating here for 36 years but it's gotten to be awful. The chicken satay was pounded to 1/4" thick, overcooked til dry and the peanut sauce was so greasy it had a layer of fatty oil on top. We had Thom Yom Kai soup that was weak and lacked the spicy flavor that comes with fresh and plentiful herbs and spices. Close to home and dang tasty! The people were right and Crying tiger beef is salty and tender with a lime sauce I loved! The Tom-Yum soup is unique and tangy but it's not my new favorite soup so I'll try something different next time. This place is very close by and my boyfriend was feeling like having some Thai food. We checked on Yelp and came across this great find! I think we went an hour before they closed so I was very grateful that they still treated us to a great meal.
