    63. Crab Fried Rice

It's limited parking right in front of restaurant, Food~Appetizers are delicious, piping hot, literally waited 5-7 mins to arrive fresh! Service-The waitress is absolute amazing funny and so very sweet. We asked for a pitcher of ice water she bought the pitcher w/ ice and no water. She says "anything else?!" We said yes the water! We laughed for a least 5 mins Main Course- Crab Fried Rice is absolutely amazing, flavorful, and piping hot once again! Ambience-Mom and Pops, plenty of seating, music playing softly in the background. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

I've ordered from this Thai restaurant four times. Their portions are large (28oz on the pad Thai container) but the prices kind of reflect that. Today I ordered the pad Thai. The pad Thai wasn't the best but it kept well- I came back and updated, it was holding up pretty well a day later. However, the toppings are sparse, it's just beansprouts and green onion with a single lime wedge no peanuts and no cilantro. The noodles are rubbery, the chicken tastes like it is both under and over cooked, the flavor of the pad Thai is giving tomato somehow although there isn't much sauce on this at all, yet it's greasy. It's actually pretty dry otherwise. I recommend not ordering their pad Thai but the lemongrass chicken is good and so is the peanut sauce curry which is why I am rating three stars.

I live in the area and have always wanted to get take out here. Excellent service at the take out window, very personable. There's always so much I want to order but seeing it was a solo night and my dog already ate, I went with curry chicken and veggie pad Thai noodles. #53 #20 respectively Creamy yellow sauce and plenty of scrumptious pad noodles. I use the white rice to buffer the yellow sauce so it doesn't migrate into the noodles. It's a must for taste bud divisions. You really need to try this spot out. I'll be back. Cheers.

My favorite since childhood. They've been going strong and consistent for years. Hard to pass on the Pad Thai, but everything is good.

The best Pad Thai in Portland hands down. I'll drive an extra 20 minutes just to get it from here

Straight gas. I like my Thai spicy and they definitely exceeded my expectations in that department. Best Thai I've had in Portland.

I cannot understand how thai food can be this bland. All of our dishes were way underseasomed.

Food soooo good I forgot to take a picture! We're visiting from Texas so expectations were high!…read moreAnd we were not disappointed! Starter: Field Green Salad: Sooooo delicious, a perfect summer salad, the apple, pickled shallots, coconut, and tamarind made for a beautiful marriage of flavor. Sweet and a bit sour, bright and light. White curry: 1000000/10. Absolutely perfect. Brisket Fried rice: 8/10. Great smoky flavor, rice a bit too crunchy for my liking but the smokiness reminded me of Nigerian rice so I liked it a lot! Service: Taylor was our server and she was just the cutest and most delightful person. Really made us feel seen and heard and treated us like we were family and gave us great recs for things to do. Drink: Approved By Chef-Very good and refreshing. ALSO THE MUSIC WAS INCREDIBLE! Such a good vibe. The hype is worth it. It was the perfect dinner to a perfect day in a beautiful city!

We stayed, and while the food was absolutely delicious (the Massaman curry with lamb as well as fried chicken were absolutely delightful!), the portion sizes and the Thai iced tea beverages were smaller than expected. The service was prompt and accurate. Next time, we would take the food to go rather than endure unfriendly wait and seating arrangements. 5 star food with excellent service - very welcoming and knows how to upsell lol…read more Food Orderd: 1. Fried Chicken Roti Combo - holy fried chicken crispy, combo comes with 1x leg and 1x thigh cut into two pieces. Curry was delicious and balance, excellent when dipped with the crispy roti or fried chicken. Pickled veggies were a great pairing and sweet and sour added another dimension. 2. Pad Thai - glistening noodles served inside an egg omelet. Very solid pad thai - sweet, sour, salty. Don't forget to add the fresh shrimp, these were cooked perfectly and plump. I recommend the restaurant should take the shrimp tail shell off for us. 3. Thai Basil Lemonade - solid lemonade, NEED more basil flavor. Overall, I'd come here again to eat and try other items as well. I'll give it a 5 star for now but more 4.5.

Popped into Hat Yai this evening for the first time and very glad we did. The food was delicious…read moreand vibe was bustling. I'll start by saying this place is definitely not big so come with the expectation that you might have to wait for a table. There's only about 8-10 tables in the place and it's definitely geared towards smaller groups. Regardless we ordered at the front and then were able to find a seat. Wound up ordering the combo to try and get a taste of everything. The portions were solid and everything was super tasty. The chicken is perfectly breaded and delicious. It's a bit of a messy meal so just come with that in mind. Have a bunch of different options that also looked tasty. Will have to come back and try again. Service was fine. They were kind and cleared the table. Water is self serve at front of the restaurant and they clearly do a fair amount of takeout. Cool local spot to definitely check out.
