We've eaten here three times since they opened it is THAT good. Sweet and Sour Chicken was flavorful without excessive sauce, Pad Thai noodles cooked perfectly with a great sweet and savory taste, yellow curry rich and pungent, fresh ginger chicken good sweet/salty/spicy mix. So, so good! We found Thai Hot as we were looking for khao soi (Northern Thai noodle soup), and they are the only ones to have it in the Coachella Valley. As someone who has traveled to Thailand at least 30 times, I can be a bit picky with my curry, Their green curry had a rich color and depth of flavor, and wasn't made bland by too much coconut milk. We've been trying to find authentic Thai in the desert, and this is definitely it! They don't have their liquor license yet, but were happy to let us bring in our own bottle of wine. Go give Thai Hot a try- especially if you like authentic Northern Thai cuisine! We will definitely be back. read more

Should be 4 1/2 Stars. We were so excited to try Thai Hot, and to have a new Thai restaurant in the Valley. We were not disappointed. Our complaint of the others in the Valley is lack of flavor. That's not the case with Thai Hot. Flavor to spare! This is our new go-to Thai place. The Duck Noodle was amazing. Large portion, tightly packed. Good value. The Crispy Sir-Fried Pork and its sauce was the best. Green curry with chicken was typical, we'd bump up the heat to Hot next time. We went Medium hot spice for our first time here, and were very happy. It was a solid 3 on the 3-5 scale used at other restaurants. Highly recommend. Give this place a try. :) read more

Management for this restaurant does not exist.. nobody to greet you or seat you, a shortage of servers, horrible customer service. They have no idea who has a reservation( even though you are able to make one on they're website), or who is waiting in line for a table. It's literally a free for all... Let me start by saying I am super excited to have Thai food in Indio. Ordered food for pickup from there site and the order entry was super easy. It said it would be ready in 10 mins. Arrived in 10mins and was greeted by a very friendly young lady. She had trouble finding my order. Eventually it was discovered that the order came in through a different system. Manager let me know it would be out in 10mins and it was ready right in 10 mins. I understand they were only open for 3 months so still working on the kinks is a part of that new business process. Food was very good. Definitely happy with the pad Tai and curry we got. Spring rolls were also fantastic. Only reason they didn't get a 5 star was that I didn't get the limeade that I ordered. I was excited to try it but sadly I didn't catch the issue until I got home. As mentioned it's a new spot. As a community we need to be patient as this place has a lot of potential. From the ashes of the Frankie's Fresh Fish Restaurant fire of 2012 rises a wonderful new Thai restaurant. We lunched on tom kah soup, stir fry basil beef, stir fry cashew shrimp and pork fried rice. The menu included items I have not seen in most Thai restaurants, e.g., German pork hock, Thai style steak, crispy pork belly, basil roasted duck and more. Since everything we had was very tasty with the spice factor added (mild, medium, Thai hot). We are looking forward to going back to try those other dishes. Found this new Thai spot yesterday and was very impressed. I ordered the shrimp Pad Thai to go. I loved the tangy tamarind flavor. Surprisingly, I added no Sriracha or chili sauce, which I add to almost everything. The serving size was good and plenty of shrimp. I have eaten a lot of Pad Thai, including during a 4 month visit to Thailand, and this is definitely one favorites. I'm so happy to have a local Thai restaurant serving such delicious, authentic Thai food! I can't wait to go back again to try something else. read more

The service was very good. The restaurant is very warm & welcoming. The food portions are generous. We ordered 2 dishes. Pad See Ew is a wide noodle dish with vegetables and a meat. We ordered it with beef. One piece of beef was still cold the dish was OK. The other dish was a eggplant and we ordered it with chicken. When we got down near the bottom of the dish it was a little greasy I have not decided if we should try it again although I saw 2 dishes on the menu I would have liked to try. read more

I was super excited in this place when I saw that they serve Isaan Thai dishes. I am a Khao Soi fanatic. First thing we notice is we sit....and are ignored. There appear to be two servers in a fairly large place. Food is not screaming out of the kitchen. I have a view of the kitchen--50 tickets lined up, but very little coming out of the kitchen. After almost 10 minutes a server takes our order. After about 10-15 minutes, our appetizer-isaan sausage- comes out. It looks thrown on a plate. The server who brought it practically runs to and from our table with the dish. We eat, are pleased with the flavor. We wait another 15 minutes at least, our panang curry comes--a sweet, gloopy mess, without a hint of curry flavor. Then larb--salty, no spice, no kafir lime, and a wet mess, with two romaine leaves. Kai Soi? Sweet, no heat, no pickles, no lime. Ten minutes later, we finally get sticky rice. We eat what we can, and 15 minutes later the green papaya salad arrives. Again a wet mess. I don't know if the regular cooks were not there, and if they were short on servers, but the service was BAD and the food was NOT GOOD. This was an EPIC flameout. I had high hops. I'm experienced with Thai food and have eaten it in various parts around Southern California and even in Thailand. While there are variations on this cuisine one fact remains the same for all Thai food establishments: the food has to be well spiced and not overly sweetened. The food at Thai Hot is very poorly prepared. It lacks seasoning and makes up for that with an excessive amount of sugar. I'm not sure where they got their recipes but this is NOT Thai food! I and my partner's ate there and each had a disappointing meal and coconut juices.The food was repulsive and the total was excessive. We paid over $70 for our two meals and the coconut juices. I highly recommend you find another place to eat instead of throwing your money away here. read more
