    Pad See Ew

This is our favorite place to go in Vermont! The atmosphere is very peaceful, it's quiet with nice music playing. The service is amazing as well all our servers are nothing but polite. The food is amazing! It's so tasty and just warms your heart! I personally love the Pad Se Ew! We will continue to come time and time again!

    Drunken noodles, beef. Delicious.

What a nice little (family owned?) Thai restaurant! Looks like it may be the husband and wife running the place? But what do I know. Food was good. I ordered the Golden Triangles (fried tofu) and Drunken noodles (of course). Food was good, although, they don't use the fresh wide rice noodles I expected. These looked like the dried and boiled rice noodles. Perhaps it's difficult for them to get a steady supply of fresh wide rice noodles. I will go back if I ever go back to St Albans.

My first trip to Vermont in several years. I don't believe Thai food was even an option several years ago. Fortunately, times have changed and Thai House is now an option is the Saint Albans area. Thai House definitely delivered a wonderful experience. I called ahead and a nice lady took my reservation for five guest. Once we arrived, everything was set up and ready for us. Thai House is a BYOB and there is a supermarket right across the parking lot. No hard liquor tho, only wine. The menu at Thai House has many options. I ordered the Thai House basil with chicken extra spicy. I truly enjoyed my meal and my friends who enjoyed such things as spicy shrimp and fried rice were pleased with their meals as well. The staff is very friendly and most of the reviews that I read prior to proved to be true. In fact, even the taxi drivers dropping us off said, it's one of his favorites. If I should return in the very near future, Thai House will definitely be top on my list.

    Curry chicken with pineapples!

Good food, quick service, reasonable prices, easy in and out location, but yucky thick carpet. We'll be back as this isn't our first visit.

Hard to believe it's in Northern Vermont; this is the best Thai food I have had, including some pretty great places in San Francisco.

I got the Malay Curry noodle soup with tofu & vegetables, and buckwheat noodles ($20). It took about 15-20 minutes to arrive despite them being dead, but once the food arrived, I was happy... until I realized they forgot the tofu! Once I told server, they brought out a side of steamed unseasoned tofu right away. The broth was pretty rich and well-spiced, with a deep Malaysian laksa-like broth, lots of veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrot and bell peppers), with a generous serving of buckwheat noodles. Pretty tasty stuff overall, albeit a bit pricey. Good spot overall, especially for a such a small town.

The space is cozy and very efficient, and despite the line, it moves fairly quickly. The open kitchen is right at the front, where you can watch a guy stretching fresh noodles by the window, which is fun to see. Once seated, ordering is super simple. They ask you three things: bowl size, noodle thickness, and spice level. We ordered three medium bowls and one large, and let me tell you, the large was ginormous. Portions are extremely generous. The noodles were perfectly cooked al dente, and the soup was light yet flavorful, not overly salty, which I really appreciated. Each bowl also came with a decent amount of thinly sliced beef shank, a whole marinated egg, and generous amount of scallions and cilantro. We also ordered the combo sets so we can try their appetizers too. My favorite was the spicy tofu strips. The chewy texture and bold flavor were excellent. My second favorite was the spicy cucumbers, which were slightly crunchy and salty, with garlic and chili peppers adding great depth. I usually prefer larger cucumber pieces for extra crunch, but these were still very enjoyable. The edamame with pickled greens was just okay compared to the others. Overall, my family and I really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back the next time we're in Montréal.

The restaurant is just across Rue Sherbrooke from the main entrance to McGill in a block of fancy offices. The space is the size of your first apartment. There are maybe eight tables but the space is shared so all seats are filled all the time from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. And the line goes out the door; don't be discouraged. The line moves quickly. The "host" hands you a menu and takes your order while you're waiting in line. And your food arrives almost as soon as you sit down. And it's tasty. I had "oil noodles" plus spicy cucumbers. My wife had noodles with beef in broth plus spicy shredded tofu. All four dishes were excellent. Seriously. There's a burly guy in the front window making the noodles, which includes loud slams as he stretches and pulls the dough. Did I mention that they must be selling at least as many take out orders as in house. Caution: what you get is actually one long noodle, maybe a meter long, so prepared to slurp and bite off the noodle. We both used napkins (serviettes to you Canadians) tucked in like bibs.

Shaanxi Spiced Noodles with Tomato Egg Wok/Oil Spilled Noodles with Tomato Egg 4/5 Beef Noodles Soup 3.5/5 . . The noodle texture, bounciness and chewiness is amazing! Something about hand pulled noodles always hit differently than other noodles. The spiced noodles had excellent flavour and every noodle was coated in the tomato sauce/chili oil. I didn't know you can adjust the spice level so it was a bit spicy for me, but tolerable. The beef noodle soup on the other hand was a lot lighter in flavour, soup was almost bland. Overall, great bowl of noodles with fair price to portion and definitely satisfies the cravings.

Really good noodle place that also offers different Chinese dishes…read more We had take out from Les Pâtes Vivantes (the name implies the energetic chew you get from the noodles, a very desirable aspect for these dishes) last night through FanTuan. We got the "Original oil spilled noodles three in one" and the "Stir-fried noodles with vegetables and seafood". The food was hot and fresh when it arrived, and the plating was still beautiful. The hot chili oil on top of the "oil spilled" noodles packed solid heat! The pickled string beans were particularly good, and the beef was quite tasty. It could have used more coriander, and was just a tiny bit sweeter and less salty than what I would have preferred, but the flavours were really good overall! The seafood noodles only had shrimps as "seafood", but the flavours were also good. The main flavour profile was soy sauce, which complimented the stir-fried veggies well. I would have liked slightly larger portions with perhaps more meat, but the overall experience was good. The chewiness and freshness of their noodles is what stood out the most for me!
