I was in the area for an event at the church up the street and decided to come here afterwards. It's a small and modest restaurant but I had the Thai fried rice with tofu and it was delicious! I like it a little spicy and asked for fish sauce with chilis on the side. Wow, so good! I ate the whole thing! My friend ordered mixed veggies with beef which looked very good too. I would highly recommend this restaurant for great food!

4/17/2026: Dinner had here but have already dined several times before. Great food, service, & atmosphere (hole in the wall). Food has been so fresh & flavorful. No frills but great food! Lots of customers favor takeout! If you're looking for an authentic Thai restaurant, you've found it!

Came here for lunch with a friend. The restaurant is on the smaller side, and parking can be a bit tricky. Inside, the air diffuser gave off a strong scent that I personally didn't care for. That said, the food was legit! We ordered from the lunch menu, Thai basil, Pad Thai, chicken satay, and of course, the must have sweet sticky rice with mango. Every dish was flavorful and satisfying.

Hidden gem! Was famished and forgot to take photos. Ordered seafood pad thai, Thai Basil Chicken stir fried, and yellow curry. My family inhaled the food. They especially enjoyed the pad thai and yellow curry. So flavorful! Everyone working was very attentive. Looks like a family ran restaurant and deserves a visit. Don't be fooled. It's that good!

The soup when you get there is so good and refreshing. The pad see ew was on of the best I have had. It's a very small place with limited seating. Everyone was nice.

Dumpling, Thai ice tea and Chicken satay!

Most restaurants with outdoor seating allow dogs to accompany, does Thai Coconut?

all they have is one picnic table out front on their sidewalk, i am pretty sure it will be ok to bring your dog as long as it doesn't bother the people walking in and out of the front door

We tried to go to Thai Coconut on Saturday at 7:00pm and it was 100% dark with no cars to be seen - tried calling the number and it's no longer in service. Permanently closed?

I just called them and they are open. They said they had to close on Saturday for a family emergency. But the number is still good and they are open today

Our drinks were refilled at just the right time, and each dish arrived perfectly paced. We never felt rushed, yet there was no unnecessary waiting. The portions were generous, and the spice levels were well balanced to our taste. We especially recommend the Tom Kha Gai--particularly the seafood medley version. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dining experience.

She's from Korea and lived many years in Los Angeles. Currently, she lives here in Phoenix. With our backgrounds, we know Authentic Thai Food. One bite, I was disappointed. The second bite, confirmed the taste was NOT authentic. Many complex ingredients were missing! Where was the tamarind subtle flavor? Where was the Kaffir Lime Leaves? Where was the fish sauce? Where was the thick gravy sauce? No use of cornstarch.... If you want Authentic Thai Food, please do not go to this restaurant. However, if you are a person who likes plain food, with no depth of Thai flavors, this is your place. My friend and I just played with our food after the second bite. Even the Thai Iced Tea tasted like a premixed drink that came from a carton. It was like a Chai Tea watered down by water and ice. I took the food home, hoping that I would be able to doctor it up. Nope! I didn't even bother to put it in the refrigerator and immediately place it in the trash. Very disappointed. As for the service, it was very questionable because no one even SAW that we went eating. Finally, after 15 minutes or so, I say our food was okay. I lied!! And asked for the check, like we wanted to escape an establishment that was based on a sham. The decor was nice and the location was quiet for an afternoon weekend. That should have been our clue to avoid the place. You can definitely get plain Americanized Thai food from this place.

Upon my approach, the exterior was so beautifully curated that I initially mistook it for an exclusive, private small garden. I stopped at Glai Baan and ventured inside, finding the dining room wonderfully bustling with a lively, fashionable crowd a thoroughly excellent sign. The venue offers the most delightful arrangements; one may choose to dine within the main room or enjoy a seat adjacent to the exquisite flower beds and lush, cool greenery. There is also a beautifully structured small bar. The entire aesthetic is nothing short of exceptional, and I found myself quite enamored with the decor. I escorted myself to an excellent table facing the bar and requested a traditional Thai Iced Tea to begin. The bartender was an absolute credit to the establishment immensely warm, professional, and genuinely friendly. The hospitality here is truly remarkable; the staff handles their patrons with the gracious care of family, which I found immensely pleasing. For my dinner entrée, I selected the Kanom Jeeb, which bears a marvelous resemblance to the finest dim sum found in elite Chinese establishments. The kitchen executed the order with commendable timing, and upon its elegant presentation, my evening meal was rendered entirely complete. The seamless blend of sophisticated flavor, beautiful botany, and refined hospitality was an absolute treat. I shall most certainly be returning to this charming sanctuary in the near future

The space itself is small, but the interior is surprisingly aesthetic and cozy, which makes it feel intentional rather than cramped. I usually gravitate toward the green curry, which hits that perfect balance of creamy, aromatic, and spicy without overpowering everything else on the plate. The flavors are bold but still refined, and nothing tastes muddy. The tom yum is another standout for me. It's bright, tangy, and comforting all at once, with layers of flavor that really pop. Even the side dishes shine. I'm a big fan of the chicken wings and skewers. They're seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and never feel like an afterthought. What really elevates the experience is how balanced yet distinctive everything tastes. Each dish stands out on its own, but the overall flavor profile feels cohesive. Service is always attentive, and the staff is consistently smiling and welcoming, which makes the wait feel easier. I also love that it's BYOB. It makes it super easy to enjoy a relaxed night, especially when I'm just snacking on appetizers with my own drinks. Sala Thai is a gem.
