We're loyal customers of this place. We order from here at least once a week. Lately the service has declined and so has the quality of the food. Tonight, my pad kee mao had 4-5 pieces of tofu. I called to let them know, I was put on hold for a few minutes and the owner answered the phone saying that she cooked it herself and that it's impossible that there was less than 12 pieces. I decided to try ordering from here on a whim after driving past it a few times and I'm glad that I did. I ordered the eggrolls, cucumber salad, pad Thai without peanuts, and massaman curry with tofu. Everything was delicious and had generous portions. The pad Thai wasn't too sweet, the curry had a little heat but was nice and creamy, fresh salad, and overall, I was extremely satisfied as was my stomach. Will definitely order out again read more

Love the food, especially their shrimp tempura. All their dishes I have tried are all good! They are way better than some other chicago restaurants! One tip. Pick up takes about 20 minutes, delivery takes an hour, so it's better to pick up the foods. read more

A lot of similar places in the area but this one definitely gives you the most bang for your buck! Delicious fried rice dishes...combo fried rice, chicken basil fried rice, and regular chicken fried rice. Chicken is really tender. Egg rolls and Crab rangoon are tasty, especially with the sauce. Ok finally someone did a good pad Thai. Lost a star because the red snapper dish was too fishy. All the other dishes including the soup was done wonderfully. If you don't want it too spicy don't go past level 2. That is spicy! I love spicy though so all good. Will order from them again. read more

While the food is tasty. The customer service is VERY POOR. And it seems to be poor towards people of color. I am a student of a near by school and often eat at the restaurant. Me and 3 classmates dined in for 40min. The waitress was very rude. Despite her rudeness, we still gave her a tip. She assumed a tip wasn't given and said to me, "I can go somewhere else to eat if I couldn't give a tip." I no longer eat here because they do not deserve my hard earn money. Don't know if ownership has changed in the last several years but certainly it seems the quality went down. I have ordered fried brown rice with seafood. Nevermind it was a 15 dollar dish it was fairly small and I would be OK with that however it was sweet as if a cup of sugar was dumped into it. Nowhere on the menu did it say that that is a sweet dish nor mentioned that it had MSG. When I asked the waitress about it she said she would ask the chef. When she returned she said that MSG was in the soy sauce. If that is true I thought we are passed that crap in our food since 90s. Next she asked me if I want something new or continue with what I got to which I replied that if I were to continue I would be forcing myself. She went back and another person came back and told me there is no MSG in the food at all. That made me definetly think there was something fishy going on here and I am not getting truthful answers. At that point I was not hungry at all for anything from the place. I said I don't want any anything and am willing to pay half since I ate some though be it less then half. They cane back and told me all they could do is take off 20%.At this point I said fine wrote the exact amount and left very disappointed with lack of information on the menu and then being given multiple conflicting answers about what they have or have not in their food. Needless to say I shall not advise to be visiting the place since I have no idea what they put into the food nor whether I can trust what they would say to me about it. read more

The food from this takeout place is really good. Their Lime Chicken is superb! The dish basically comprises chicken tenders fried in a light batter, accompanied by a lime infused sweet mayonnaise. The chicken is fried just right, is perfectly crisp and the mayo is darn good! While I'm not sure how Thai the dish is, it's frickin' amazing! However, I wish they'd give more pieces of the Lime Chicken. Portions, in general, are okay, though a little more would justify the prices more. One serious flaw is with how they box the Lime Chicken for to-go orders. The box is Styrofoam and the hot chicken burns big holes in the box, thereby making Styrofoam get stuck to the food, which is hazardous to health. I'm going to complain about that to them so they change their methods. read more

The food here is alright, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered dinner on grubhub at 7:30 pm and was quoted a delivery time of 9 pm at the latest. 9 pm comes and goes, I call grubhub and they tell me that for some unknown, mysterious reason, my order was never made. I ask them to send me the food anyway, then 2 minutes later I get a call saying that their kitchen is closed and they cannot make my food. How convenient. So, at 9:15, I am scrounging around for something to eat for dinner because they couldn't be bothered to make my food and notified me too late to place an alternative order elsewhere. TOTAL FAIL. One of my favorite thai places on the north shore! I love that it's take-out only- seems like they can focus more on the cooking! I am done with Thai Inbox. Have now eaten at their newer place in Glenview a couple times (at Waukegan & Lake, replacing the now closed super Your Choice Thai restaurant), and have gotten take-out from the Wilmette restaurant on Skokie Blvd, tonight's being the last. Both I, and my partner, are sick from the food. Stomach aches, digestive upset. I do not believe that this business is using wholesome ingredients! The place in Wilmette is, as others have said, an older, small, primarily take-out restaurant. It's on a busy road--Skokie Boulevard--but is easy to find, and to get in and out of, although the parking lot is small and somewhat cramped. The people working the place have been, at our visits, nice, and easy to talk with. It's the food that's problematic. I can't speak to whether it is "authentic", but I can speak to its smell, taste, and the effect it has on me. Tonight I ate their pad thai with tofu, a vegetable, tofu, and peanut sauce dish, and a vegie egg roll. The tofu in both dishes was fried. The taste did not seem off to me (I would not have continued eating it if it had), but its odor seemed heavy, as it has on previous visits. In comparison, my partner and I had a similar Thai dinner in San Francisco within the last two weeks that was not only delicious, but was not upsetting at all. The only conclusion, unfortunately, that I can reach, based on both this meal, as well as meals from here in the past, is that Thai Inbox is skimping on using quality ingredients, most likely quality oils. read more

I have frequented this location many times - it's close, and its flavor is not too bad considering the localate. With that said... they need to get over themselves. I always thought it was more pricey than most Thai restaurants (that are way better), but I was really annoyed with this particular trip. I had gone here the night before, and I had planned to use a coupon ($25+ get an eggroll), but had forgotten. Thinking it was no big deal, I presented them with this coupon today thinking they could let it slide this time. The girl working there kept repeating "store policy" like I'd never heard of the word before. My mood to order lunch was soured, obviously, and over some eggrolls, it's not a way to keep a customer. I will never visit this location again and I am more than willing to drive to the city for food 100x more authentic. read more
