Lunch was awesome. The beef was marinated before cooking, so it was tender. Everything was tasty--from the spring rolls and salad to the main dish. It was a quick and very satisfying meal.

We were looking for a quick lunch prior to a nearby appointment and found Thai Indy. The restaurant is in an upscale trendy strip mall in Carmel. There was no available street parking, but there is a dedicated lot behind the mall. The dining room is small, and was half full of lunchtime patrons. Seating is comfortable and a large menu was on the table with Lunch Specials. Cloth napkins were set. June, our server, was attentive and friendly. The food came out super fast and was plated artistically. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with medium heat. A soup starter consisted of a light broth. The Pad Kee Mao was filled with fresh vegetables that were perfectly cooked and the medium spice gave the tinge of heat that I was looking for. The chicken was moist. The meal came with a small salad, which I love the refreshing dressing. The spring roll was a little over crisp, but good nonetheless. The meal was a lot of food and I took part home to finish later. My husband had the Pad Thai with chicken which he loved. The medium spice level is perfect. The noise level in the restaurant was somewhat annoying. We heard a long distracting work conversation across the room. There was background music, but it did not cover the conversation. Other than the acoustics, it was a great meal and I would return.

Wow! The food is AMAZING and the portions are huge. So happy my friend brought me here. Service was great and the atmosphere is beautiful and intimate. Music isn't too loud either

Crab Rangoon with some orange oil as "sauce"

Ordered delivery from DoorDash today. Quick delivery, food was packaged well, but the food did not taste great. At all. The crab rangoon was so overly sweet we couldn't eat it, like the filling had powdered sugar dumped inside. The dipping "sauce" was just an orange oil, no clue what that was. I eat crab fried rice often from other restaurants but Thai Indy's was bland. I couldn't find any crab pieces, it was burnt, and the only flavor was overly smoky, like char. My husband's Kai sol dish was supposed to have chicken and shrimp - instead it had dry chicken and no shrimp. There are a lot of other great places locally to get actually great, flavorful food.

We found this little establishment and were thoroughly amazed! The Ginger hot tea was warming and comforting. We ordered spring rolls that had the perfect amount of filling. My nephew ordered Pumpkin Curry, sister got the Cashew Nut and my choice was Seafood Paradise. All dishes came out the ideal temperature and in a timely fashion. It was all superb! The environment was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend this small place to anyone desiring authentic Thai food.

The ginger Tea, Springrolls (come nearly as fast as we ordered) are recommended. We like several dishes ... but recemtly got the Volcano Chicken and it knocked my socks off. Sweet Spicy sauce accompanied some lightly breaded juicy chicken 'tenderloins'. So good.

Thai ice coffee is amazing! Pretty sweet but so good! And it came with this very impressive flower made with straw covers - very cute! Ordered the drunken noodles with chicken which was really quite tasty. Lots of great wok hay flavor and a delicious variety of crunchy vegetables. I ordered mild spice which was really not spicy at all. And the dish was maybe a tad too salty but overall delicious! Also, the food came out SO fast which was good because we were all really hungry!!

What a cute little restaurant! Though small, it's very clean & welcoming. The people are very nice and helpful. I had to get the Thai iced tea. It was beautiful and very tasty! We ordered spring rolls and they were good-- Hot and crispy with a very nice mild sauce. Hubby & I both ordered the beef Thai fried rice. We ordered medium heat. Next time I might order even less heat because it was pretty spicy. A great place to go for a quick meal. We saw lots of takeout while we were in the restaurant.

Really cute venu, loved the Christmas decor they had inside. Got takeout from here and it was decent. Seemed pretty expensive, got a lot of spring rolls and not a lot of entree so I'd say it's even. Spring rolls were pretty big and filling, entree could have been a tv dinner and I wouldn't tell a difference. I appreciate they let you choose the spice level. Would go back and dine in and try something different.

Good authentic Thai food, really good Thai iced tea. They are willing to accommodate requests and are honest about the level of spice you are about to get yourself into. It's kind of a smallish place so it's possible you may end up with no place to sit inside but there is some outside seating and you could always get it to go if push came to shove.

Consider this place as a fast food spot versus a restaurant so your expectations are met. Food was great, hot and served so quickly and we were nudged to leave even quicker. We were hungry so we wolfed our food down but the server just kept nudging us to get out even though there were 4 tables vacant. It's a small space and customers need to keep moving but what if someone wants to just enjoy 15 minutes more with a small kid and it's super cold outside. While the food left a good taste in the mouth, service left such a bad taste.

This place does not disappoint! My second review after a little over a year. The staff is cordial and welcoming, the service is good and the food is legit. Pretty much everything on the menu is cooked with care and respect for the flavors. I will be returning soon!

This has to be my favourite Thai restaurant in town. The food is so so so delicious!! I have tried a lot of things on the menu,but the fried rice takes the prize. The place is decent and cozy, ambience is really nice. The service is usually good but they are sometimes in a rush at dinner time.

My wife and I tried Thai Indy on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was not crowded there was a consistent flow of people picking up orders to go. We each had Thai Fresh Rolls and Tom Kha Soup. Both were fresh and very good flavors; ordered the soup mild with hot seasonings on the side. For entree we both ordered the drunken noodle; lots of fresh vegetables; flat noodles were cut to ~2" lengths. Excellent dish having savory and fresh flavors. The server was very friendly , courteous and provided excellent service. Definitely recommend Thai Indy! read more

My favorite Thai restaurant closed during COVID and I'm forever trying to replace it. While Thai Indy didn't do that, it was very good. I got the crispy wonton's and an east chicken fried rice (no egg--I have an allergy). The wontons were a little overdone but tasted good. The fried rice and chicken were done well but not "buttery" ("juicy"?) enough for me. May be better eating in rather than take out. I'll go back... just not my "old" place. read more

first time trying this place and i'm always happy to see another thai restaurant in the area! it's definitely small so if you're dining in on a weekend night, make a reservation! the ambiance is modern and the staff are all extremely nice and very efficient! the food was wonderful as well! the tom yum soup is a must - so flavorful! the glass noodle soup was great too!! we got the khao soi which was delicious! and the vegetable deluxe with chicken. vegetable deluxe was great if you're looking for something light. oh and don't forget the fresh spring rolls! read more

Delicious!!!!! OMG! This was the first time visiting and I don't eat Thai food a lot but I greatly enjoyed the ambiance on a quiet Saturday afternoon on my lunch break! The lighting was soothing and relaxing and the waitress was so sweet and attentive!!! 5 star for sure! I will be back! read more

This is our favorite Thai restaurant. We haven't tried many others and didn't have to once we came here. Pre-pandemic dining in was great. Always helpful and friendly staff. Food is always on point. Post-pandemic we've only ordered takeout and same great quality and service. My kids (11 and 6) love the Pad Thai and fried rice. My hubby's and I love the curries (Masaman). Don't sleep on this place! read more

Had this recommended to me, and I'm so happy I went! I didn't think it would wow me, but it was so fantastic that I went again the day after. I got the Drunken Noodles with some spring rolls as a side, and both were fantastic. Mango Sticky Rice for dessert was the best choice. The decor is also very fun! We ordered the Ginger Lovers with tofu, medium heat, and added water chestnuts, and cashew nuts. Absolutely amazing! Also the Drunken noodles with tofu, medium heat. Amazing as well. The noodles are very big and were obviously homemade, different than anything I've had before. The noodles were the best part of the entire experience. Medium is not too hot at all so we asked for a side of fish sauce with hot chilies, added great flavor and not too much heat. Appetizers, Crab Rangoon and Spring rolls. But fresh from the deep fryer which makes anything fried even better! I took one star because the food was served barely lukewarm, parts of the dish was actually cold. Which was strange because we were the only people in the restaurant, so there was no wait involved when bringing the food to our table. We also had the Sticky rice with Thai custard. The ratio was off being too much rice. The Custard is really good. I could have done with 3 parts custard to 1 parts rice, it had twice as much rice to custard. Overall, a really great meal. read more

The food is normally good, the person taking orders over the phone is not. Gave me the wrong order, when I called to see if I could get the right order I was told I was wrong. There were other people around when I ordered, they heard me, they also got the wrong food. When I picked up my food in the first place, the girl taking phone orders had headphones in. read more

It was a temperate afternoon on Saturday, December 9th. I walked inside a charming little shop that pleasantly pervaded Thai culture. The close knit nature of the room contributed a feeling of coziness. The menu was vast with the prices being on average around $15 per meal. What would be a decent price for a quality and bountiful meal. As I settled on a dish known as Pad Thai, I quickly found that the service was excellent. The server was quick, caring, and concise, and the food was brought out swiftly. The presentation was also admirable. Upon first bite, I felt an instantaneous rush of pleasure. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the peanuts sprinkled on top added a playful crunch, and the added chicken was the perfect touch to add diversity to the dish in terms of flavor and texture. The spice level was also excellent and can even be modified to your liking. My only complaint would be the subtly of the chicken within the dish especially since it was a priced additive. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and the ambience was amazing. I walked out pleased, satisfied, and my wallet wasn't eviscerated by the price. I highly recommend this place! read more

I loved to go to Thai Castle which became Thai Indy recently! Out of the 50 times I went to Thai Castle, their Pad Thai did not disappoint even once. But when I tried Pad Thai here it was very weak and had way too much oil. I intend to give this another chance and see if they do better next time. read more

After a disappointing attempt to try to eat at Condados. We walked down to Thai Indy and we were warmly greeted by a young lady with a beautiful smile. We had crab Rangoon as an appetizer. I could actually taste crab not just cream cheese. My husband had the drunk noodle and I had the salmon. Both meals were hot and very delicious. The service was excellent. Instead of being greeted with a simple hello or welcome, we were asked, " you wanna eat here?" Cute decor for people who love selfies. They have tables, but we had to order at the counter and pick up our food from there. I don't know why this is listed among halal restaurants. No meat is halal other than shrimp, which we can get at any Asian restaurant. I would have left, but my mom wanted to try their food...since we were already here. We took it to go. read more

Pet peeve of mine is restaurant's silverware. Five stars on their choice of high quality, heavyweight and matching silverware. A plus here (also a good heads up for visitors) is that the restaurant itself carries a more formal vibe. From the cutlery to the tables, the whole place has an international charm that makes dinner eventful. Definitely good whether you go with company or alone. One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Carmel is "Thai Kitchen." They have an amazing selection of dishes like Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Mango Sticky Rice. The flavors are so vibrant and the spices are just right! The ambiance is cozy and the staff is always friendly. It's a great place to go with friends. I highly recommend trying their Tom Yum Soup and their Chicken Satay. They're both packed with flavor and will definitely satisfy your cravings.
