I love Lemon Grass! I've been going here for years and always really enjoy the food. The lack of indoor dining is annoying (especially after it used to have indoor dining), but they are usually pretty quick with to go! Always tell them the spice level that you want, because they sometimes forget to ask on the phone. I recommend the pad ke mao and the pad see ew! read more

the pad woon sen is absolutely delicious! i would've given 5/5 but they made it spicy without asking (usually they ask and i tell them to not make it spicy at all). This is one of the worst Thai food places I have ever ordered from. My grandmother is Thai, and while there aren't many places around that are serving real good Thai food, this is by far one of the worst. The Pad Se Ew was dry and the noodles were gelatinous. The green curry was not even a curry at all. I'm not sure what they sent us, but it was a brown gloopy sauce with ginger. Takeaways: VERY inconsistent in quality (read my "food" section for more info,) ONLY takeout/to-go Food: This is a tricky one to tackle. We ordered the Yellow Curry and the Green Curry. The Yellow Curry was easily one of, if not the best curries I've had in Tampa. If this was all we ordered, this might have taken the spot of "Best Thai" in my recommendations list (check it out on my page!) However, the Green Curry was the worst curry I've ever had. For this reason, I have to give them 3 stars. I will make sure to come back and try some other dishes and update my review, but for now the inconsistency forces my hand on the 3 star review. Service: The service was ok. This place is a takeout only, so there's no wait staff or anything. Worst pad Thai I've ever had. The last time I ordered from here I got a different noodle dish and it was dripping in grease. My friends came here in person to pick up food and saw multiple cockroaches crawling out of the kitchen. They said one was on one of the workers feet and they didn't even notice it. Not a fan of the food here at Lemongrass and to me, it's not traditional Thai food either. The noodles always tend to be dry and stick together, they're stingy with their protein (usually 5 small pieces of chicken, and/or shrimp) and always super greasy. I typically ask for the Hot spice level (Mild, Med, Hot, Thai Hot) but always end up with Mild. On a positive note, their coconut sticky rice is great. I had ordered one Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken (spice level Hot) and one Green Curry with Veggies (spice level Hot) and both of them very delicious. This is the first time, I have eaten raisins in Pineapple fried rice and it was certainly adding to the flavor, hot and spicy as well as sweet occasionally due to the pineapple and Raisins. I haven't been to Lemon Grass in years (I don't live in the Tampa area), so I was really excited yesterday when I had the chance to go back. When I lived in the area, I would always go and get the Pad Thai because it was so good. I decided that since I hadn't been in years and have expanded my taste palette since my last visit that I would try something other than the Pad Thai. I love green curry, so I decided to go with that. Honestly, I didn't really like the green curry. I was disappointed in my meal. The flavor just wasnt right in my opinion. But my Dad ordered the Pad Thai and I had a couple bites of that. It was still as good as I remembered. I also want to take a moment to highlight the safety COVID protocol that's in place at the restaurant. They are open for take-out only, which I didn't know prior to arriving at the restaurant. Luckily they had two small tables outside where we were able to sit and eat. They are very COVID-cautious which is not a bad thing by any means, I just wasn't expecting it. You place your order at a speaker, and the food gets placed in a window where they can push the food through to the customer. When you sign the receipt, they have you place the signed receipt in a box. There is absolutely no contact. read more

I ordered the spicy basil fried rice with tofu with the "hot" level spiciness--not as spicy as I would've wanted but great flavor and a nice portion. Came around 6pm with no wait to order (no dine in available). Phone was ringing off the hook, Uber Eats were picking up orders, and many customers were coming in after me to order to-go. I got here around 1:00pm on a Tuesday and I believe their lunch buffet is Monday-Friday 11:30a-2:30pm. I also believe it's $8.99 for the price. Which is amazing for the all the varieties of food they included and also quality! Let's start out, the manager/owner was out there helping out and getting customers. It seemed there was a lot of regulars here as they all knew the manager/owner. I really enjoyed the Tom Yum Chicken soup. It was very very tasty. I normally don't like it but I definitely was digging it. There is a small variety of sauces but my two favorites was: Thai spicy peanut sauce and the Thai sweet spicy sauce. FYI, none of them were spicy or even hot at all. So your good in trying it out! Lol I loved the Thai Basil Chicken, Thai fried chicken wings, Pad Thai, Veggie Egg Rolls, and the papaya salad. Their dessert options were amazing. I really enjoyed their watermelon, some sweet fried chips, and also coconut cream with bananas. We routinely order our select favorites and historically very satisfied. Has there been changes in management or kitchen staff? We were craving for the Thai food and was looking for the Thai restaurant and came across Lemon Grass Thai Kitchen. It is a small restaurant which only offers pickup and delivery. One can't eat the dinner in the restaurant. But there is 2 tables outside patio where we can have dinner. From the menu we ordered Chicken Satay, Spicy Basil Fried Rice, Chicken Red Curry and for sweets we ordered Sweet Sticky Rice with mango. Since we were hungry so we decided to have dinner in patio instead of taking the food at home. We got our order in 15 minutes and it was hot and freshly made dinner. First we had chicken satay which was delicious. There was also a peanut sauce along with Chicken Satay which was delicious and tasty along with Chicken. After the appetizer we had chicken fried rice and chicken red curry. The food was delicious and tasty. It was hot and we loved the combo of rice and curry.
