We enjoy dining in at this restaurant. They are very attentive about food allergies which is much appreciated. I like ordering their salmon and shrimp dishes, which are usually very good. Their Tom Yum soups are also great. The server is very attentive and the wait times are reasonable. The decorations in the restaurant are also nice. The only negative is that they are closed after 3PM and only accept take-out orders in the evening. We have not enjoyed their food nearly as much when we order take-out, so we only eat there when we can dine in. read more

Lackluster flavor, My yellow curry was the consistency of water The Thom Kha was nearly see through and had zero flavor. The meat was as hard as jerky in all 4 dishes. We stopped because we were passing through, Love Thai food, and needed lunch. The place has good ratings so it was worth stopping. They have a lunch special's menu which suited our needs well. The Thai iced tea was great. I had the Basil chicken and my husband had the green curry. I chose a spice level of 3 and he chose 1 on a scale of 1 to five. Each dish was excellent. I tasted his and the spice seemed just right. He felt the same about mine. The unique thing about this place is that you have a choice between rice or pud Thai with your dish. We each chose pud Thai which came with a side dish of peanut sauce. We debated adding rice to our dishes but opted not to. We finished the meal with mango and sticky rice. We absolutely LOVE this place! The guy at the front is always SO nice and welcoming on the phone and in person. The food is incredible! Our favorite are the panang curry with chicken, veggie fried rice, drunken noodles with chicken, and pad Thai with chicken (staples!!!) and we've never had a bad experience with the service or the food! Okay, this place is pretty good! I wish I took a pic of their Thai tea but I finished it before the thought even crossed my mind - that's how amazing it was. I'm a stickler when it comes to Thai tea and this place had one of the best ones I've had in a really, really, really long time. I also loved their Tom Yum soup. I got the seafood version and mans it does not disappoint. They had all varieties of seafood - imitation crab, fish balls, muscles, shrimps, etc. and they definitely were not stingy on the filling! The flavor was exactly what it, hot with a bit of a sour but delicious taste. Their Pad See Ew was a bit soggy but that could be due to it sitting inside the aluminum foil in my to-go box for a while and flavors weren't as pow-wow as the Tom Yum, I may have to do a sit down and see if there is a difference before I pass a final judgement. Lastly, I had the mango sticky rice for dessert and let me tell you this is always a hit or miss with some Thai restaurants in the Reno/Sparks area but the one I had in Minden was really good. It wasn't dry or excessively sweet, it was perfect. The coconut flavor cake through real well and the mango was just the right texture and sweetness. Definitely recommend if anyone is in the Minden/Gardnerville area and is craving Thai! Also, they get 5 stars not only because the food was food but because the person who helped me with my to-go order on the spot was awesome and he delivered my Thai tea in advance while I was waiting. The waiter asks every time if there is food allergy or peanut allergy, which is pretty cool! They have great menu selection, too much to choose from!! we used to eat here at least once a week but have been out of the area and can not believe how disappointed we were with the meal last night. There were three of us, my meal came out first first, politely I waited for the others to get their food, then another was served and then two of us waited for the third to be served. There was 15 minutes between the first and last meal being served. This is totally unacceptable. The dish I ordered is normally served with large noodles, vegetables and choose of protein. What I received was a plate of small noodles with sauce, no vegetables and a few pieces of tofu. What a disappointment. The others ordered dishes with chicken and both said that chicken was totally dry. I will never be stepping into this place again. read more
