We ended up getting fresh rolls (5 stars! the peanut sauce was soo good), vegetarian pad thai with fried tofu (we got it medium spicy and it hit the spot! also 5 stars) and basil spicy fried rice (which was spicy lol 5 stars as well!) All the food we got was surprisingly really good and I'm glad we chose those things. I loved it. Came to visit my brother and check out their new thai food restaurant and it was not a mistake! I had yellow curry with chicken my go to dish very good and good size portion for lunch. I ordered it in medium spicy and wow that definitely was spicy and for the faint of heart. We all shared pad thai and it was super good and came with shrimp and tofu and I forgot what else. Hubby ordered the peanut sauce dish with beef. He wasn't the biggest fan but he still liked it. Brother got the drunken spaghetti and it was DELICIOUS! It has seafood and is so good. My family and I were looking for a new Thai place to try out. We really wanted to find a regular spot we could have. The waiters were so nice and attentive. We ordered a couple of appetizers, like the fried tofu and the egg rolls. Both were soooo good. For main dishes, we ordered the chicken curry, chicken pad thai, chicken fried rice, and the grilled beef. Let me tell you, my mouth and taste buds were in HEAVEN! The fried rice was literally the best thai fried rice i've ever had. I also got some thai tea ( of course hehe) and that was pretty good as well. We were on our way to visit a friend, got hungry, and ended up in what I think was downtown Tracy. Yes, I do believe the flags on the light poles had said downtown Tracy. Anyway, hungry, and not a lot of places were open on a Sunday afternoon! It was a choice between Korean and Thai. My philosophy is, when given a choice of a new restaurant, we must try the new restaurant. What we had for lunch: Thai Ice Tea - I honestly can't say that it's the best I've ever had, but it was pretty good. I actually don't remember it all too well. I think it was because I downed that sucker too quickly. I was thirsty. I didn't get a glass full of ice and it wasn't watered down so it kept me happy while I waited for my meal. Yum Goong - I absolutely love this salad. My initial reaction was that I have a lot of yummy looking toppings and some boring lettuce underneath. I soon learned that the yummy toppings were packed with flavor and the lettuce balances it off nicely. It's savory, sweet, and I had to ask for no chili & nuts because my little one. The grilled shrimp was crisp and flavorful, and I did not know that you can get fresh lemongrass and put it in a salad. I'm used to the pretty dried up lemongrass in Chinese supermarkets so the fresh stuff alone made me go wow... I should've ordered another serving to take home. Kao Mun Gai (boiled) - This dish I ordered for the toddler. He handles seasonings differently, and I didn't know how he would react to Thai food. This was a safe dish for him because the ingredients were pretty basic. Boiled chicken and garlic rice. I can't really comment on the sauce since I don't usually dip my food, but the chicken and garlic rice works very well together. It's like garlic chicken rice. Ok, the chicken alone is kind of bland without the sauce so you would need to eat it with the rice. The garlic rice was really really good. The garlic flavor is not too strong or weak. I think someone called it the Goldilocks theory or something?? It was just right... I think the garlic rice alone should be made as a side dish. BBQ Chicken - the brother in law had this one. I stole a few slices. It was good. I still love a good southern bbq so I can't comment much on this. Pad Ma Khua Yao - my friend got this one. She raved on and on over the basil. She's a basil lover. This stir fry was tasty. The meat was tender and eggplants were cooked correctly. I cannot stress this enough... the eggplant was not over or undercooked. I've been to too many restaurants with disappointing eggplants. Pad Thai - friend's dish. It was a little on the sweet side, but it was pretty good. The noodles were not soggy or gooey. The service was very good. I'm sure it also has to do with them being new. I do love to dine at a place with new furniture and dishes. Our waiter was very attentive. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a table or a changing table for the restroom. It was a good thing I brought the pull-ups for baby! I had an excellent overall experience. read more

So. Food has fantastic flavors. The portions are perfect. No too big and not too small. Location is very neat as well. The pricing is very good as well especially for what you get. Cons: very slow service. I know they have posted hiring signage on their store front window but still very slow even with beverage refills. Parking can be a bit of a you know what. Wow, just had a meal at Thai Jasmine and agree with the great reviews of this restaurant. The service is attentive and friendly. I had the Pad Thai which is the base for my judgement of Thai food as most all serve this noodle dish, this one did not disappoint. I also ordered the Pad Ma Khua Yao, which is grilled eggplant, chicken sauteed with chili garlic sauce, onion, carrot, bell pepper, mushrooms, sweet Thai basil and baby corn..... delish. So I had my wife with me and she likes her food mild, I am opposite and love the heat.... when I order mild, most dishes lose flavor, but here the flavor was well developed. By far the WORST Thai food I've EVER HAD in my life!!! The food was EXTREMELY salty!!!! Went there last night and had to wait over 1 hour 15 min + for two entrees !!! I have never felt the need to send the food back and request a refund but this restaurant will make you want to do that. The issue wasn't even waiting if the food was worth it I don't mind but the food was absolutely terrible, bland, no flavor EXCEPT SALT!!! My wife was very hungry and we were already going to be late to our movie reservations therefore I didn't send the food back but she also kept saying it got saltier and saltier as we kept eating it It did not taste authentic whatsoever and feels like they cater to the Caucasian folks with the lack of flavor and lack of spice and choice of sauces. Wish I had the opportunity to eat here but customer service and follow through prevented this from occuring. I am still only eating out doors and the two tables outside we're both occupied. We put our name down for outdoor seating and the waitress said please to keep our phone close by for when they call us. So we both had a drink right next door at Purgatory waiting for the call once our a table opened up (which we told her). This restaurant closes at 2:30pm and at 2:03 one of the tables finished and at 2:08 the second one left. We headed over only to find the closed sign was already on the door nor did we get a call from the restaurant as committed. Obviously they don't want our money, business or honor the commitments made to make a simple phone call. In the downtown Tracy area, other Thai places are more attentive and responsive to their customers and I recommend them. Unfortunately, this ruined this location for me and I don't think I would be able to critique the food fairly after this experience. The food is so delicious it keeps me coming back even though they literally never pick up their phone to order ahead and sometimes have a wait time of over 40 mins to go. (This is the only thing i don't like about this place!!! If they would just pick up the phone and let me call in my order I'd gladly wait!) I especially love the cucumber salad, so light and tasty. I typically order to go as they are always busy. Recently I went to pick up and order and was waiting longer than normal even after calling it in. Come to find out another customer took our bag instead of theirs. They not only remade the tofu since it was fried to make sure it was hot and crunchy but compted the whole meal for us without us even asking! Now that's customer service! They really didn't have to do that because i understood it wasn't their fault but they did it anyways and that really made my day and made me feel like they care about my business. I love their food and was going weekly and now I'm glad I support a local business like this one! If you like Thai food I'd recommend it to you to try! Thank you for the great food and service! I've lived in Tracy for 32 years...growing up my friends and I loved Thai Cafe. That's the only Thai food I had ever had until Thai Jasmine. At first I wasn't interested in trying it but with Thai Cafe changing ownership and the food taking a dive I thought why not? This place is amazing! Not only is the staff friendly, the restaurant clean but all of the dishes we've tried are fresh. We have our favorites and have become regulars...at least once a month we need our fix. We tried this place one night when I just couldn't cook one more meal .. and we were blown away by the food. My hubby is notoriously picky when it comes to any form of Asian food. We picked up our order, set it out in the table and waited. He always finds something to criticize and critique.. and nothing. Not one bad word. He loved it all, said it had amazing flavor and he was so happy we picked this place. I can't tell you, it was like angels singing . I really like Thai food and have been craving some since I moved to Tracy 10 months ago. Recently stumbled across Thai Jasmine after many people have recommended it. Although they didn't answer the phone for a take out order, after going in to order, it was still a good experience. I made the order and was offered water while I wait. After adding onto my original order, the balance seemed a little high for the items I ordered but I didn't really pay attention to it. The person who took my order said I was undercharged for my order but I didn't have to pay the balance- which was nice- since he was very busy and I'm guessing he didn't want to deal with the balance. After going home and calculating everything, I realized I was overcharged. I went back to the restaurant and told the guy that I was overcharged. He said he realized this after I left and voided the charge. Offering to pay the balance, he said it's no charge since I went through the trouble of coming back. That was very generous. Overall, the food was delicious and the service was on point. Definitely coming back again. read more

This was my wife's favorite Thai place in town, which means by default it's the place where we got Thai Food. We're not big on eating out anymore, so I typically call in the order and pick it up. Over the past couple months they've quit answering their phones during dinner time because I guess they think they're too busy even though when I show up there's open tables and no one waiting. Tonight my wife wanted Thai, so I tried calling it in on my drive home. No answer the whole drive there. When I showed up I asked the girl why they don't answer the phone anymore and the guy behind her who was folding a mountain of napkins said because "the phone rings a lot!" I informed him that it's probably because people want to order food... he walked off like he didn't care. Then our order took 45 mins to come out! I'm done with this place.
