    Thai Fried Rice with chicken

All I can say is never again. I should have gone to Thai Spice like I usually do. I ordered Thai fried Rice with chicken and was charged $8 for small tiny strips of chicken. No taste at all but if you like big piece of onion in your food Thai Kitchen is your spot. I spent $26 and a tip. I couldnt even eat it so many onions tried to pick out but too many. I had a taste for Rice and Thai kitchen was right by me but I should have u-turned and went to Thai Spice a block away.

We just moved to the area and were craving some Thai food. Based on the Yelp reviews, we thought we would give this place a try. The space is clean and inviting, and you can see into the kitchen, which also looks clean. Our server was attentive and friendly. We started with the soft spring roll appetizer, which stated it had chicken. We bit into one and discovered no chicken, so we let our server know when our server came over. She then assured us it contained chicken, but just very little, which then my husband showed her the contents inside his and asked, Can you show me where the chicken is? It was a bit awkward because she still insisted it was there, so we just told her, Thanks, now we know what to expect and won't be ordering that again. It was a little unsettling paying a higher price for something with meat and not having any meat, so needless to say, we won't be ordering those again if we return. The entire exchange was just bizarre. Huband got the Pad Thai, and I ordered the Payaya salad with medium spice and the Tiger Cry Beef appetizer. The rest of our food was really good, but overall, we had such a weird exchange about the "so-called chicken" in our appetizer that we both decided we were unlikely to return.

Would recommend. Overall good experience We had a large group and the waitress and staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is a little small but cozy and clean. The food was good (not extraordinarybut very tasty).. we ordered appetizers in the spring rolls were fantastic. Now - Even the mild spice option was a little spicy. The rice was just plain white jasmine rice no flavor. And the food was served very quickly and was hot and fresh.

The Pad Thai was pretty good. There are a lot of restaurants don't make well these days. It tasted very good. Their noodle dishes were the best. The duck roll was okay, I think the wrap is little bit "too thick" compared to Chinese Beijing duck wrap.

Great Pad Thai, tasty panang (a bit sweeter than expected but still delicious), beautiful decor, clean and well-appointed bathroom. Excellent and unobtrusive service.

Always good. Probably consistently the best Thai place in the Kansas City metro area. Highly recommend. I eat her at least once per month. Always busy.

Women Rule the World and this spot was so welcoming from the staff to the ambiance to the flavors. The beer, wine and sake list had all we needed to start off a great dinner. Apps were hot and quick and the entrees, especially the Panang Curry Veg, was full of great spice. Lovely spot to meet some friends and family!

Nana and Nancy are delightful! Fast and efficient service and the food was fresh and arrived quick. They also offer takeout with a drive through option, but I prefer dining in and Thai Iced Tea.

Drove by so many times but finally stopped in and did not regret it. Definitely gave off authentic Thai restaurant vibes. Beautiful red walls and gold accents. The ladies are super friendly and their service is surprisingly super fast. Best tum yum in town! Tried many places and this is my favorite! You also got to try their thai coffee! Everything we ate was a 10/10. Tiger cry beef had good flavor and the dipping sauce is prefect! Crispy garlic shrimp wasn't so Crispy but it was full of flavor. They didn't hold back on the sauce and I am not complaining!

My family and I entered and weren't greeted, despite there only being one other table seated. We ended up walking across the dining room ourselves before eventually being acknowledged. Not the strongest start. Once inside, the atmosphere had its ups and downs. The space itself is beautiful, but some details--like visible weeds and black tablecloths--took away from the overall polish. That said, things started to turn around once we got settled. I had the chance to meet the chef, who was incredibly personable and clearly passionate about his craft. We kicked things off with appetizers, and this is where the kitchen really began to shine. The lobster rangoons and tempura shrimp were both excellent--crispy, flavorful, and well-executed. For entrées, my daughter and sister-in-law both ordered the chef's burger and really enjoyed it. My niece had the steak frites and absolutely loved it. My wife ordered the lemon brick chicken with gnocchi and olive tapenade. After tasting it, I felt the gnocchi could have benefited from a quick sauté in clarified butter, finished with a squeeze of lemon and fresh herbs to bring out the depth the dish promised. I went with the Wagyu burger. The cook on it was spot-on, but the execution fell short. It came topped with three large slabs of bacon hanging well over the sides, making it difficult to eat without taking it apart. After adjusting it myself, I noticed it was under-seasoned--something as simple as a finishing salt would have elevated the richness of the Wagyu significantly. Overall, Ophelia's has a lot of potential. The food shows promise, the chef clearly knows his craft, and the space is visually appealing. With a few adjustments in both service and execution, this could easily become a top-tier spot. I'll be back--and I'd still recommend giving it a try. 4 out of 5 forks.

It bums be out too because at one point I felt the fried rice was one of my favorites, now it is just dry and bland. The teriyaki chicken was good, no complaints there, but I would like to be able to have a bite with just fried rice and not feel like it still needs something. Service was good. Maybe a little pushy on the water refills. It's like they saw us taking pictures and were giving us reviewer treatment. I'm not saying that is the case, but I felt it was forced and awkward regardless. Regarding the insides, there is a small and quiet sushi side, and the loud hibachi inside. It has the kitschy but endearing japanese asian aesthetic and is usually clean and well kept. Salad was sweet and good. Soup was served to us warm, not hot. Drinks were pretty tasty, I prefer their Geisha over the Mai Tai.

The salad was yummy, but I didn't care for the soup--it was lukewarm rather than hot. The fried rice and teriyaki chicken were a little dry, but the shrimp was really good. Our cook was more focused on just cooking rather than performing, which was a little disappointing since the hibachi show is part of the fun experience. The service was very attentive--my water was never empty, which I loved as someone who drinks a lot of water at restaurants. However, it was almost too attentive, as the server would refill it before it even got halfway down and would come over very abruptly. I still had a good time, but I'm not sure I'd rush back. The prices are pretty high for the quality of food, and I'm sure there are better hibachi options out there.
