I enjoyed the green curry! the curry had a great flavor and balance of coconut milk which wasn't too overpowering. The deep fried salmon had an interesting texture. The dish was paired with a savory sauce with a thicker consistency on the side in a container for us to pour over the fish. I've always seen this place. But never tried it until now. To my surprise, the food was really good. We ordered the honey bbq beef, Tom kha, garlic shrimp, and chicken wings for the kids. And we all loved it! The service was good as well. The rice was perfectly cooked. The soup was perfect. The beef was really good with a splash of Tom kha soup. Ahhh. That was the perfect bite. Also, tried the garlic shrimp with rice and also a slurp of soup. Ahhhh. Fantastic. You know when you find that perfect bite pairing all the dishes together and it mixes everything in your mouth and it enhances everything all in one bite. For me I have found it here. Because it's so conveniently located near my parents house, this has been our family's favorite restaurant to go to whenever we celebrate any special occasion...actually, even if there is no particular occasion, we like to come here. The staff is fantastic and super attentive. We never have to ask for any water refills and the food is always served pretty promptly. There are always the staple dishes we order everytime and we occasionally veer off into new dishes, which soon become faves, too. - Combination appetizer - a great platter of options. We always ask for the rice to arrive at the same time. I love their fried fish cake! They used to make one big eggroll and cut it into 3 pieces, but now they roll itty bitty ones and you only get 2. The angel wings are good, as well as their satay. - Tom Yum soup - Sucha great soup, best w/ shrimp, and they cater it to whatever level of spiciness you want. - Honey BBQ Pork - always a favorite and well cooked/grilled. Super flavorful and great dipped in the peanut sauce, too. - Seafood Duck - One of my dad's favorite dishes...full of veggies and seafood, oh and duck, of course. - Pad See Ew - I like that it's juicy and the noodles are not bunched together. - Crying Tiger beef - a newer favorite. I have a sensitive palate and I really appreciate that they put all the spice in a little dish on the side b/c I hear it's pretty spicy. - Gado Gado Salad - the peanut sauce dressing is the best! Lots of greens with fried tofu & sliced hard boiled egg topped with potato chips (a little different, yes, but also good together with this salad). Yes, the prices have increased a bit through the years, but its still a good deal for the great food they serve. The menu hadn't been changed for many years, but its different - more user friendly w/ lots of pictures. I don't think the decor's changed in 20yrs, lol. Not bad actually. I'm not sure why we waited so long to go eat at this place. My cousin kept telling me it's one of her favorite Thai places in the area. The staff is pretty friendly. They even told everyone that someone's car lights are on. The decor is just so-so. But definitely go here for the food, not the decor. They're also very quick in making the food. I don't think it even took 5 minutes and the food was pretty hot and tasty. Their pad thai was pretty good, although I still like Sala Thai's better. It was completely empty on a Saturday afternoon but we didn't feel rushed. The decor is cute and everything was cleaned (even the menus!) This may sound ridiculous to mention but it's an important factor for restaurants that most people would not try, especially since it's in a shopping plaza. Thai Kitchen has the utmost sweetest server ever and the food was superb. I drank 2 Thai Iced Teas and my bf got the green curry beef. Get it uber spicy if you can handle it. I got the Pad Thai. It was good but it had a really really fishy smell that I couldn't get over. So we switched entrees. The prices are very reasonable and the service is quick. The first time I came here, we had the Pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, and some yellow curry and were unimpressed by our meal. I remembered I had been here before and didn't like it, but we gave it another shot anyway since we were already there. We ordered the pra-ram beef with broccoli and spinach, which is basically beef and broccoli covered with peanut sauce. We also had the spicy salmon, which is deep-fried, boneless, garlic-y and delicious. Both dishes were surprisingly good, and we were both very satisfied with our choices. Interesting place this Union City, strip malls in a cluster, of course I was across the street at the other Thai restaurant, a couple of "where u at" text back and forth and I finally arrived at the right place. We sat by the door and each time it opened we were treated with the arctic breeze, they need to make a screen for the entrance or something. We showed up at the tail end of a large party so they were a bit unorganized, but once we were settled in and ordered, the food came out orderly. We had chicken satay (okay), papaya salad (spicy nice), ran out of choo-chee pompano so he gave us the fish filet instead (good), pad thai (okay), and either the green/yellow curry chicken (okay), can't remember exactly which one. Overall it was A-OK, service was good, price reasonable, but nothing stood out food wise, oh no, maybe my taste buds are oversaturated with Thai food? :-( read more

We called and they said it was not their problem and that we had to order the whole meal and that we had only ordered a la crate.-which was untrue. Uber eats menu indicates that both orders comes with the sides. Paid $38 for a cup of curry chicken and 4 chicken kabobs (satay chicken). We came on MLK Day around 12. It was quiet, and unsettling at first because of the lack of people. However, my first impression was that it was really, really clean! I came with my grandma, who needs softer foods to eat, and the pad see-ew was pretty good! Everything was soft enough for her to enjoy and we ordered the Angel Wings and papaya salad, which was all super tasty. Our food came out fast, maybe because there weren't too many people. As I pulled into Chevron gas station, the delicious smell that came from Thai Kitchen made me decide to give their food a try. Since it was my first time trying Thai food, I needed a bit help selecting one. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I don't like to give lower than two stars, but let me tell you about my experience a few months ago. A few friends and I decided to stop by for lunch. The service was friendly and we were seated fairly fast. The place wasn't too packed. After briefly catching up, we were ready to order. One friend and I order the shrimp pad thai; the other two order two dishes that I can't remember. About 15-20 minutes later we were served. The friend and myself were given pad thai that we ordered, but three shrimp total. We look at each other confused. The waitress comes back to check and I ask confirm with her our order. She says it's correct. Displeased, I ask if I could at least have one more piece of shrimp...so we could at least have two each. The waitress says she'll have to check with the chef. She returns in about five minutes and unfortunately the answer is no. I understand shrimp is expensive. If two people order the same dish, there should be an even amount of servings. I was very upset and another waitress or perhaps the manager came by to see if I was ok. Frustrated, I said I was fine. Clearly she couldn't believe me due to the expression on my face. They offered me a free Thai tea, but I gave it to my friend instead because I clearly didn't want that either. Luckily for them, my friend paid for lunch and even tipped. If it were me, I would have skipped the second part. Service was friendly and tried to be accommodating, but the chef's choice was unacceptable. The food was ok, minus the missing shrimp.
