Chicken Pad Thai
Marie M.

First time trying this spot! Got their chicken pad Thai, no green onion, no nuts, told them to make it as spicy as possible with added chili oil. It was so good. Definitely will return.

I'm so glad to have a place like this near my home. The service was nice and quick. And the restaurant itself looked very clean and tidy. My food was hot even after I got home. The pork was juicy and coating was nice and crunchy. The noodles are top notch, something I would expect from a sit-in restaurant. And they give you so much broth for the ramen that you'll have leftover for later. I also got the cheese rolls. They were crunchy yet soft. And the filling was amazing. I will definitely be a regular here.

Pad Thai burnt through container.

Pad thai was ok.. didn't like that they put it in a styrofoam container right out of the pan. Was wandering why the noodles were stuck together...Cause it melted the container.

Cheese rolls

the best Thai place me and my husband have ever tried and we've been all over San Antonio looking for new food spots. best service the lady was so nice and friendl. the food came back very hot from the stove and the cheese rolls hit the spot it's totally amazing love the flavors and spice levels we chose. definitely recommend other people to try.

First time eating here, didn't realize it was so close to home. Dining is currently closed but man do I have to say for a small hole in the wall restaurant the food is delicious! The chicken was nice and tender with plenty of flavor, the soup was nice and hot. When they tell you it's gonna be about 15 minutes or so it's because they're prepping the food in the kitchen and serving it hot!

Incredible service from the moment I walked in to the moment I left! This was my first time here and I can't wait to come back. The food was incredible! I ordered chicken pad Thai level 2 heat and dumplings. 5/5 would def recommend

We just might be on to something.. You wouldn't expect this place to pack this much flavor! Their Pad Thai is advertised as "the best in town!" I'm not sure if I can go to that extent, but for the price you definitely can't beat that! Great serving for a very cheap! I ordered to go and everything was ready right at the time they told me it would be ready. As someone that has a timed lunch, I genuinely appreciate that. You'd be surprised how many places get that wrong. The Pad Thai has great flavor and had a good amount of protein in it for the price. Next time I order, I might add extra protein, even if they charge me extra, because once again for the price you really can't complain.

Everything about this place makes my taste buds go crazy. #1, best in town. They are only checkout since COVID.

Needed lunch and picked a random place from Yelp. Thanks chaotic energy!…read more This place was amazing. The wait time to be seated was non existent. The restaurant was clean and very well decorated. The different signs and wooden decor made me think about how a shop would be internationally. We forgo an appetizer because it's just lunch and I'm sad with how good the entrees were. I asked for a recommendation for something spicy and the waitress said the spicy beef ramen was her go to. And it was perfect. Husband had the chicken katsu and after explaining the sesame seed sauce his meal was delicious. He stated "nothing I had wasn't great". 10/10 from me. I appreciate it and will be back.

With several locations in town, we decided to give this place a try. They have a huge menu:…read moreappetizers, stir fry, rice bowls, ramen, udon, katsu, desserts, and drinks. We ordered the pork katsu, chicken katsu, kids' tonkatsu ramen, and chicken karaage. Although I couldn't distinguish between the pork and chicken katsu my hubby was able to. Both were good. Our little picky eater loved the ramen and chicken karaage as well. Normally, kids' ramen bowls are plain and tasteless, but there was flavor in this one. Their katsu dishes, however, are a must try. It comes with pickled veggies, salad + dressing, sesame seeds (you grind) and dipping sauce, rice , and miso soup. The presentation alone was awesome. Service was great. Decor and vibe was excellent. Will be back!

Came here on a Friday night for a double date. Definitely make a reservation because this place was…read morepacked and poppin. We didn't realize this place was a cousin of Shiro and owned by the same guy until we saw some similarities in their style, layout and menu but nevertheless, the food was still absolutely amazing. Even though the ambiance had some similarities, I'm glad their food options were distinguished because otherwise could have just gone downtown. You cannot go wrong with any of their food options. Highly recommend doing family style so you can get a taste of everything and all the different flavors. We started with the gyoza and calamari which were to die for and were not greasy at all. Pork ssam, wagyu, miso pasta and octopus all brought a little bit of their own element and flare to your palate that it's hard to describe unless you try it. Wagyu was just melt in your mouth delicious. Pork ssam and octopus had their crunchy texture and umami flavors. The miso pasta added a light refreshing touch to balance everything out but don't let it fool ya, the noodles will expand in your stomach. We topped it off with their yuzu cake. Our only disappointment was they were out of their other desserts but nevertheless everyone of us left full and happy. Would come here again.

When I first read about Yozora, I honestly thought it sounded a bit pretentious. Fascinating, but…read morepretentious. Because the idea of music being an actual integral part of the dining experience--not just some kind of background noise--felt a little precious for my taste. I'm glad to admit I was wrong. So let's start with the ambiance and the vibe of Yozora. It's in a fairly non-descript kind of center; not bad but not specially memorable. But the space itself is open and has an air of restrained sophistication. And then there's that hi-fi set up. The music at Yozora really is part of the experience, but it's not intrusive in the way that you'd think. Most of what my dining companion and I heard was 50s and 60s jazz, and it was perfect for the occasion. Sushi and Coltrane are a great mix, and even though we were not far from the hi-fi system, I could hear every word of our conversation, without the need for either of us to raise a voice. Somehow, it's like the music operates on a different frequency from regular table chatter. Suffice to say, the music enhanced the mood and really set a scene for Yozora's chefs to tell some stories. And that, they do really well. We started out with seasonal tempura and miso masu ceviche--ocean trout marinated in miso, soy, and lime juice--that was sublime. But funnily enough, the real star small plate was a truffle creamy miso soup that was earthy and slightly sweet at the same time and was silky in texture. From there, we ordered a series of crudo and battera, each unique in its own way. It was wonderful stuff, accompanied by a rice lager. The kitchen at Yozora is not shy about experimenting with non-traditional flavors and ingredients. Sometimes it works really well; sometimes, not as well, but it's never bad, and the servers actually ask for feedback for the kitchen, which is something I rarely see. Yozora honestly seems to be most concerned with creating a great dining experience, and it does that, from the chefs to the line cooks to the servers (who are helpful and attentive without hovering). The music, the mood, and the menu add up to a memorable experience.

I grew up in the age of D.A.R.E., so I can recognize a bad habit forming. And I knew we were in…read moretrouble on the first visit, exactly when I saw the sauce bar. But my son, bless his heart, wasn't exposed to Officer Whats-his-face explaining to a class of fifth graders how deviously addictive substances like heroin, crack, and hot pot can be. So my kid has had a habit for about three or four years now. Chinese hot-pot barely tempts me these days; I don't need a numb mouth like that. Mongolian...that level of sodium was fine in my twenties, I guess. Shabu proper - served with ponzu and sesame sauce by some fella wearing a headband starts to get tempting. But I'm doing well this year, I've only flown to LA's Japantown for my fix once. And honestly, this is not that anyway. Most of these restaurants, where they expect me to boil my own dinner, are pretty easy to wean off of. I mean, seriously, how lazy can a restaurant owner be. Here's some raw meat, cook it yourself, folks? Unfortunately, Wild Japanese's offering is more akin to the most delicious of the hot pots. Singaporean or Malaysian style, with a gigantic assortment of sauces and a flavorful selection of broths, and the best soup you've ever had waiting for you at the end of your meal. And I hope that helps explain why when we go two weeks without a visit, my son starts to get really antsy and sees bugs crawling under his skin, just like Officer What's-His-Face said he would. I think originally you could get just not-shabu; nowadays, they make you pair the hot pot with some inferior food. We've tried the sushi a few times. That was a huge mistake. The Korean BBQ pairs well, it's just a lot of effort, and not a lot of soup, so we grill a token steak or two but otherwise stick to not-shabu. Anyway, that's a short entomology of hot pots throughout the world, excluding fondue, according to my tummy. I could probably stop anytime if I really wanted. Eating this delicious not-shabu. But for my son's sake, I go.
