While visiting Sarasota i was invited to this somewhat new Thai restaurant. Super quiet ambiance. I think it's more of a deliver / take out place. But very clean and nice. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious. Ordered spicy seafood pan. It was freshly made. Delicious. Basil was such a nice touch. Miso soup was good but it's made with beef or chicken broth. Not your regular miso flavor. Friend ordered spicy seafood stir fry. and it looked very freshly made and like a good size of a portion. There are many dishes on the menu. The only thing i would say is that it's not your typical Thai cuisine. Nice fusion in my humble opinion. read more

Good decor, friendly service. Excellent Fresh Basil Rolls (very generous portion) and Pot Stickers!! Very enticing sauces served with them, too. The Chicken Pad Thai was very, very good! I did ask about the heat levels (mild) and was honestly told that they weren't hot for them. Which makes complete sense - however, as a former wimpy mid-westerner (former midwesterner, still wimpy) I can state that there was nothing mild about it. If you have to ask get, "no" spice. The service was friendly. I had the green curry with chicken and the boss had her pad Thai. We had the lunch special and it came with soup and a spring roll. Both were pretty good and I was excited about getting our main dishes. My curry was a soupy consistency. I prefer a more creamy texture, but that wasn't the issue for me. Something was missing. I tasted the pad Thai and something was missing. The umami flavor was missing. Then I overheard that they don't use fish sauce and use salt instead. Now it made sense to me. As much as I want to like this place, the food quality for me fell short for what I prefer for Thai food. read more

Decided to give this new Thai place a try. For starters, the service is awful. No greeting , very sloppy looking . Ear bud, baggy jeans. Didn't seem like he cared to be there. Food wise it was ok. 6-7 out of 10. Service was terrible. We got in party of 3, with a party of 5 right behind us. The server sat us first and then the other group. Proceeds to take the other group order first, despite us coming in first and seating us first. Continues to ignore our table for a few long minutes after taking their order before coming to take our order. Context: we were already decided, menus down waiting before he even took their order. He can to take their order while they were clearly still browsing the menu which took even longer. Ordered two starters vegetable tempura and spring rolls. Vegetable tempura never came until I asked and showed up right with the mains. When I mentioned it I asked for a second spring rolls - the waiter impolitely pointed at the empty plate saying "that was it you just had it" I said yes, I know. Thank you. I would like to order another one. - didn't hear me? Sure, misunderstood? Happens. But I was super polite an his response was extremely rude. I forgo to mention he had air pods in his ear the entire time. Sorry to keep you from your TikTok's attitude. I saw on the specials menu vegetable tempura. I ordered it saying explicitly vegetable tempura. It comes with 6 shrimp on top - I don't eat shrimp I told the lady I'm sorry but I won't eat it I ordered vegetables not shrimp. Seems like she wanted to add those with good intentions but you don't add sea food to a vegetarian order... to my surprise they did not take it back, did not remake it, and charged us for it. Things slowly got a bit better with service (maybe since we were done needing them) at the end the waiter comes to our table drops the payment machine at the far ends of the table beyond my reach and walks away with saying nothing. Later the lady came out with our two take out orders saw the machine on the table - I told her I'm waiting to pay and handed her my card. She was confused as why it was there but took my payment and we left. I might give them a second try. Probably not. But again - absolutely terrible service. Attitude problem. Left a 25% tip but felt it was very undeserved. read more

I had been wanting to find a Thai place I'd love since Stiks closed down off US-41. I'm glad Thailicious delivered with the quality of their food. I'm sensitive to spicy food and asked for a level 2 Heat (1-5 being the options for how spicy they can make your dish) and probably will be asking for level 1 when I go back because they don't play when it comes to giving you what you ask for! I was paying for it after, if you know you know. So if spicy is not your thing, go for level 1 in terms of "heat". I wasn't blown away by their fried rice but that isn't to say I wouldn't try it again nor would I recommend against it, I've just happened to have better. All in all, I'd recommend this restaurant and will go back when I can. read more

Like one of the other reviewers, I also wanted to like this place since it's a small restaurant and owner seemed very nice but the food is why I won't be back. Every dish we ordered was slightly off in taste...definitely missing the umami flavor that you find in Thai food. We had a chance to dine at this relatively new Thai restaurant this week and very much enjoyed the experience. The decor was very nice considering that it is situated in a strip mall. Wall hangings were a nice touch. The food was delicious if not kind of overwhelming. Portions were large and we took at least half home. We will go back and try to find a dish that we can both enjoy and split it since neither of us has a large appetite. Many carry out orders and some delivery but in person diners were a bit sparse considering how good the food is. read more

This restaurant was by far, the best Thai food we've ever had. The portions were extremely generous. The wonton soup was made with fresh, delicious vegetables and the wontons were amazing. I first ate at Thai-licious in the fall and thought, " GREAT!! A really good Thai Restaurant!!" I have eaten there at least 5 more times and had very, very good food, each time. Last week, we dined with a friend and 2 of the 3 meals were NOT good. Our guest had the salmon and said it was over cooked. Likely precooked and rewarmed. You cannot do that with fish. I had " drunken noodles with duck." Pad Kee Mao, spicy. The duck had been deep fried the first time and then refried. Ok, that was not great, but not the real problem, The noodles were orange! The chef had used so much chile oil that it turned the noodles ORANGE!! Pad Kee Mao is brown and has a completely different taste than the dish I was served. The taste was not there. Also, after our first round of beers, the waitress told us that they " ran out of Singha Beer!!" In a Thai restaurant?? I am hopeful that the restaurant can turn things around. Tried Thai-Licious tonight for dinner and it was good! Started with the curry empanadas - tasty but needed to be a bit warmer. My pad Thai was excellent and husband's massaman curry was even better - flavorful without being overwhelmed by coconut milk. We'll be back for sure. read more

This place just opened two weeks ago, not far from our house, we just tried it for the first time and it was fantastic. We had the potstickers, garlic and ginger curry with seafood, and a chicken peanut curry. All the food was delicious just the right level of spice. Stopped in on a Sunday to pick up carry out. The dining room was not busy. We looked over the menu and I asked the young man if I could swap out the rice for noodles. He had to go ask the chef. He came back and said she didn't know because she had never made it that way and there would be a $3 up charge for swapping the rice for noodles. So I decided to stick with the rice. I ordered it with chicken. When the order came out the receipt said beef! I asked why it said beef when I ordered chicken? So she offered to remake it with chicken but we had waited long enough I said I'll just take the beef. After all that the dish did taste good. I don't order beef in my Thai food but this was pretty good. So taste wise I would recommend but as far as being flexible don't count on it. read more

Great service. Quaint place. The Tom Kha soup was amazing. Best in town! The bbq pork special came with a flavorful sauce but nothing else. A little rice would have been nice. My bf liked the bulgogi hot pan but it was a small portion for $23. Tasty Thai tea as well as iced tea. Overall good. read more
