Really really loved this place! it's quaint with fresh and friendly service. We ordered spring rolls, thai coconut soup, ginger salad, chicken and shrimp pad thai, and cashew nut. All of that was only $37 dollars!! The entree portions were fairly large and could definitely be two meals which is awesome. The food was cooked to order so the wait was a little but but totally worth it. I loved the family owned feel of this place and the quality of the food. I will definitely come back. I have to agree with others that the spicy scale was a little off I got 3 and it was ehh and my boyfriend chose to go 4 and it was decently spicy so chose a number at your own risk :) read more

I have eaten at this since I moved to Hiram. I was so excited to find a Thai restaurant that was done right. Unfortunately about a year ago it was sold. The customer service has since been awful and the foods flavor has changed and not for the better. I've moved on. I've fallen in love with Imperial Palace instead. My wife and I recently visited Thai Mango for lunch after reviewing it's rating here. I would say it lived up to its rating. The building was very clean and lighting in the restaurant was appropriate. Service was top notch; we never had to wait for anything yet it did not feel like we were being harassed by the staff constantly. The bathroom was kept clean. The menu had a sizable selection without going overboard trying to serve everything so I felt like I could return and try a little of everything without being disappointed. Prices were average and I didn't find that serving sizes were much smaller than similar places in the area [This is walking distance away from a Panda Express chain that serves almost the same portion size]. The ingredients were fresh and well prepared. My plate was flavorful even with the maximum spice option. My wife was not used to the Thai style of food but still said she'd come back. That alone gives a restaurant a great score in my book. read more

Great Thai, especially for the far burbs and Paulding County. They seem to do most of their business in takeout. We ate there once and we were the only ones there. But people were lining up to pickup their food throughout our dinner. Pad Thai and Penang Curry were super good. Tom Kha soup was as good as I've had. They were even able to modify the foods for my vegan girlfriend. We'll be back to Thai Mango soon. read more

What can I say...a change in ownership. Not the Thai Mango that I fell in love with at the beginning. The original owner was truly a chef. I don't know who is manning the kitchen now. We have been here several times. Some visits have been good, and a couple have had some issues, like the spice level for instance. But we are a bit desperate for restaurants around here, so we tried again tonight. Put in order at 6:24 pm. Was told 10 minutes. Arrived around 6:40, had to wait a while, found out order was never put in. Went to store while they started the order, came back, paid. Order was still missing soup (despite the owner's pre-teen son, who was the employee, reading back the order correctly). Had to wait for the soup, and was of course charged with no apology or anything. Now it was 7:25 pm. When my husband spoke to the owner and tried to address the situation so she could improve service, she muttered a quick sorry and turned away from him to clean some tables. Way too much effort for food. We may never go back to Thai Mango after this experience. Update: Okay, this tastes really good, though. But they won't stay in business if they don't care about their customers. read more

Food was great but the service was a bit slow to be polite. Didn't get menus right away. Didn't get napkins with appetizers then didn't get silver ware with meal and I always had to ask for another drink. I think they were under staffed and I believe they had some technical difficulties with the register or something slowing them down and just throwing them off their game it seemed. Let me start off by saying that we love this place. Food is delicious and always worth a visit when we stop in at my mom's from Chicago. But recently the customer service has gone downhill to the point where we're not sure we'll come back. Tried to place a to go order for 5 (decent size, decent $$ order) and was left on hold for 10 minutes. Called back (from several phones -- it wasn't a problem on our end) after the line went dead only to find the restaurant had taken its phone off the hook. At 4:30pm on a Saturday this is inexcusable. Easiest way for a restaurant to make money is through take out and we were left hanging. Ended up supporting another local business instead. Extremely disappointed and hesitant to return. This is our favorite restaurant in Hiram. The pineapple fried rice is amazing. Service and prices are excellent.

I placed a to go order and the lady was real nice. We ordered several items. After getting home and unpacking our dinner we noticed the portions were very small for what you pay for. I had the coconut Thai soup that was very good, but for 3.95 i want a serving. The order of thai chicken wings was $5.95, and you only get 4 wings....tasty,but you only get 4 wings. The cheese rolls and beef fried rice were also interesting and good. The sesame chicken stir fry however was ok, but not much of it. All together my order was close to $40 and was not worth it. Updated review: 2nd visit - take out Larb Salad: No... no no no; Don't waste the money. The dressing is WAY too salty and actually tasted like it was spoiled. I took 2 bites and prepared it for the bin. It must be the fish sauce that is overpowering the other ingredients. Wow! YUCK! If I never post another review you know this salad killed me. It's also a tiny salad. In all the Thai restaurants I've eaten the Laab/Larb salad is a dinner size salad, not a starter. I'm attaching a picture of the salad before I started eating and left the fork on the tray for perspective. Also, The cabbage is cut and stacked in a compartment to the side of the salad, but for take out the dressing sloshes over in the cabbage compartment which makes it messy to handle with your hands for holding or wrapping the salad. Just weird plating/presentation that I'm not accustomed. Cucumber salad: is actually tasty but is more of a southern style cuke salad that I've been eating all summer long. I ordered hoping for a nicely spiced asian cucumber salad. :( Panang Curry Beef: Is very good, but the whole green beans were bazaar. I've NEVER eaten Panang curry with green beans anywhere in this country. Pineapple Pork Fried Rice: Was more like a stir-fry rice in that it was more saucy then it was fried. I'm used to my fried rice being a little more dry (not saucy.) It had good flavor. I guess I'm learning which items on their menu I like, but it's soooooo expensive trial and error because there have been 2 of 8 items, now, that I would actually reorder. I went at about 7pm on a Saturday and it was pretty crowded but we got seated right away. Service was good and we started with the spring rolls. They were pretty good as well and my kids really enjoyed them. The food here is authentically spicy. I like spicy food and went for a 4 on their 1-5 scale and it was a bit too hot for me. A 2 would have met my expectation. So just keep in mind it's legit spicy. I'll be back to check out other items on the menu. read more

Update 1/13/2023: We gave this place one more shot as promised. Not sure what has changed since my last experience, but it was for the better without a doubt. I ordered the panang curry in Thai Hot (with shrimp). I can honestly say that this is the first time I've ordered this dish Thai hot and got exactly what I expected and wanted from the spice level. They were also much more generous with the protein portions than I've experienced in the past. While I do prefer this dish slightly thicker and creamier than I got, I'm willing to acknowledge that that may just be my own personal preference and not the fault of the chef. Even though we ordered delivery (which I will usually give even more leeway on most things), the vegetables were crisp, the shrimp was succulent and the rice was perfectly fluffy and full of life which is exactly what I would expect for a dine in experience. Not sure if there's just someone new in the kitchen, or if it's under new ownership/management, but someone is definitely making the right calls here now. We will definitely go back to supporting this business regularly. read more

I really liked this restaurant a lot, and I would like to go again to sample another dish. The inside of the restaurant is warm and congenial, and the servers reflect that sentiment. I had the cashew nut chicken, paired with a Thai ginger beer flavored beer that was a local brew. I actually liked the beer so much that I sought it out after our meal, it was delicious and a perfect accompaniment. The cashew nut chicken was very good, had a strong garlicky flavor. The cashews were so rich, delicious, and complimentary to the chicken and sauce...my one gripe is that there weren't more of them. The dish would have been perfect if there were more cashews in the self-proclaimed 'cashew' dish, but eating it felt like a cheap skimp. Anyhow, I would like to return and try a few more of the dishes here...the modern American taste of this take on Thai has me quite intrigued. read more

It's my first time dining at Thai Mango with my significant other. The establishment was very quiet with light music playing in the background. It's only a one room seating situation so if you are looking for more of a private setting It's not going to be here. Service was average ,but the food made up for everything else. This place is a mess. Their poor customer service overshadows the food. The star rating is based upon the lack of customer service skills with their staff. I called in orders twice and when I went to pick it up they didn't put the orders in. Recently, I called in an order at 12:17 and was told it will be 20 mins and my food wasn't ready until 12:53. When I asked to speak to a manager a young lady told me "well you can address your concern to me but technically I'm off". That didn't address my concern. With this being the only Thai restaurant in the area it saddens me that I can't return because of the lack of care for the customers. read more

We had a good experience. It was a small resto place, wasnt busy when we came for dinner so we had a peaceful and quiet dinner. Ive seen people order take out instead. This place has the worst customer service I have ever experience in a restaurant. The last few visits the servers have been extremely rude. One can tell how the service have fallen from previous management. The last visit, I went to eat with my family and I was embarrassed by the way my family was treated. After waiting some time at the entrance while a table was leaving, the attendant told me and my family that they were not going to serve us because we had no reservation. There was clearly space available but they just felt the need to turn down customers. The worst part was the attitude and the way we were treated. Worse service. I have eaten here many times and I've called from the car to place my order so I could pick it up on the way home for years. Today I called to place my order and was told I would have to order online. I explained that I was driving and only wanted 1 entrée and was told I couldn't place an order via the phone. So I stopped at the restaurant when I passed it and saw I was unable to place an order in person either. That kind of service, or lack of, just cost them a long time customer. I ate here last night with a group of friends, and let me tell you, this place is GOOD. I haven't had much experience with Thai food, but I was really impressed with my first trip to Thai Mango. I had the Yellow Pad Thai with Chicken and a bowl of the Tom Kha soup with Chicken. I was given the option to adjust my spice level for the pad Thai, so I chose a 2, which definitely had some heat, but was not overkill. But the SOUP though. I cannot even describe this soup. I was completely shook after one spoonful. The food was good, waitress was fantastic, and the soup was literally out of this world. Like we're talking planet Tralfamadore or something. Maybe it's because I had never had this soup before and am new to Thai food, but man. Do yourself a favor and check out Thai Mango, and for goodness sake try the Tom Kha soup! read more

Two of the worst meals that we've had in a long time. We ordered veggie lovers and pad won sen (no egg). Both dishes had more noodles than anything. The veggies were very scarce and visibly burnt. The noodles/entire meal had so much soy sauce that we didn't enjoy what little we ate of both dishes. A complete waste of money. Very disappointed. I would not recommend dining here. read more
