I am not a fan of Thai Mango. The food is overpriced, and isn't that good. I ordered 3 soups to go, and was told it would take 45 mins. It was a Friday night, so I understood. 45 mins later, I showed up at the restaurant, and it was packed. I had to wait another 20 mins for my order. When I got home, the soups were not hot, and were filled up halfway. So rather than getting a full pint of soup, I got half. I paid $23 for 3 cups of soup. On top of this, the soups were not good. I've either been spoiled with thai, or this just was less than average because it was one of the biggest let downs! The reviews online are generally positive, but i'm curious as to what others have ordered or what they actually think is thai. The typical, traditional thai flavors were not there and even the staple (pad thai) was bland and boring. I had the thai version of pho (noodle soup) and it was like glorified ramen with greasy, bland flavors. We also ordered some appetizers - shrimp fingers had no herb or taste to them; cream cheese-crab rolls had no taste of crab (so probably imitation crab) and the cream cheese was the only flavor (no onions or carrots); pot stickers were just the steamed dough... the tiniest bit of meat was in it with zero flavor. I'd give this a hard pass if you're on the fence on this one. read more

The food is not worth the terrible customer service. I've been a few times where service was slow and forgetful, but let it slide. Today they straight up gave my order to someone else and didn't realize. My waiter blamed it on the other waiter giving my food away, yet didn't ever bother to check why I hadn't received anything in the entire almost hour I had been there. Yay! I have finally found a gem in my neighborhood. Thai Mango is soooooo tasty! The first time I came here was with my mom who was visiting and my bf. There is open seating inside the restaurant, so you do not have to wait to be seated. The restaurant is pretty small and intimate. As soon as we sat down, our waitress supplied us with beverages. To be a Friday night, Thai wasn't super packed, which was great! I ordered the spicy chicken fried rice. When ordering something spicy, they ask you to select a level of spice based on a range of 1-5 (5 being super duper spicy). Being that I am a sucker for spicy food, I picked a level of 4, just to be on the safe side. My mom had a veggie plate, as she is a vegetarian. And my bf ordered the tilapia dish. Our food was served in a decent amount of time (25 minutes), and was very fresh. I really enjoyed my rice. Whatever seasoning they used on my food was delicious! My mom and bf also enjoyed their food as well. Our total was about $40, which I thought was super reasonable for 3 people. Overall, my first experience was great. The second time I tried Thai Mango, I was even more impressed. This time I opted for take-out, as I was on my way home from work and didn't feel like dining in. I called ahead of time (about 20 minutes), and ordered the chicken with broccoli and the cream cheese egg rolls. My food was ready as soon as I arrived and my total was about $14. The chicken with broccoli came with a side of white rice. Both were pretty good and I am definitely going to order it again! I wasn't too big of a fan of the cream cheese rolls. Went tonight after a long time of not going due to inconsistency with the food. For heat, order a 1 get 3, order a 4 get a one. I've always complained about the tom yum seafood soup. Not only inconsistency with heat but also with the seafood and the flavor. One time too sour to eat, next time not enough. And they use canned mushrooms. When I asked about this I was told because mushrooms go bad quickly. But they use bean sprouts. Hmmm. Seems to me from my experience mushrooms hold a heck of a lot longer than bean sprouts but what do I know. We order usually only 4 dishes, Pad See Ew, Lad Na, Eggplant Stir fry, Wild Thai Curry. My wife orders the later two because they don't come with Broccoli. I have ordered the Lad Na probably 12 times for dinner or lunch. Always a nice, fairly thing gravy, served on a plate. Tonight served in a bowl and more like a soup. My wife ordered the Eggplant with tofu. It arrived without tofu, but did have broccoli. When I asked about my wfie's dish they said it always comes with Broccoli....NOT!!!!. When I asked why my Lad Na was in a bowl I was told sometimes on a plate, some times in a bowl. So now they lie to us to cover their asses. Bottom line, the lady who cooks and owns the place will do what she wants in the kitchen and you are expected to eat it. NO CONSISTENCY. It comes with broccoli or it doesn't, It comes on a plate or it doesn't. Its a 3 on heat or it isn't. Its the right balance of tart or it isn't. Expecting your customers just to deal with whatever you decide to throw on a plate or prepare a certain way one day and another on a different day is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE. We will never be back and I will make it a personal endeavor to make sure people understand to stay away from your restaurant. You have no business running a restaurant. You don't know what you are doing. You are not a professional. When you first came to town we were ecstatic. Mom and Pop restaurant that wasn't a meat and two. Something REAL. Something Authentic. Well I guess we were wrong. We will continue to drive to Douglasville for consistent Thai, Marietta for decent Chinese, and to Bufford Highway to get the REAL Korean, Thai, and Chinese. Unfortunately you will stay in business for a long time. You server Fried Rice. The servers here are sooo sweet! My friend and I came in for sushi. Which they don't have but it was okay because she was so patient with us and told us about her favorites as well as customer favorites. We are so indecisive!! I went by myself at lunch to try the place out. (The place closes mid-afternoon, so don't expect to find them open.) I had the Drunken Noodles (with shrimp) and it was delicious. I had a Spring Roll (it's either that or the soup included at lunch) with it and it was very good too, excellent flavorings, not salty, and in my noodle dish the basil and peppers were very fresh - YUM. They even took the tails off the shrimp - A+ in that department!!! I will go back and try more things, as the menu is extensive... Though they did not overload me with that at lunch :). I got a to-go menu and plan on using it soon! Oh, and I could not resist walking out with a hot pot of coconut soup for the hubby's dinner. He'll share. It's a win-win! More to follow.
