Best Thai and Laos food I've had in WA. I have never had a bad meal here. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is very enjoyable. I highly reccomend the Laos menu's jerky, pork and chicken dishes. Their soups are very good (great for a cold day) and they make a great Thai ice tea, among many other things. read more

They have all the normal things on a Thai menu and more like summer rolls which are my favorite and the sauce was different than the normal peanut sauce, which I thought was delicious . Lao menu- is on the dinner front flap of the menu - is to die for... Or-Gio chicken stew with green beans #4: is so very flavorful and taste like you are in Loa; my husband had the pork green papaya salad with Loa sticky rice; which he loved the dish. I had to try the garlic pepper, which I chose vegetables # 3 - i could not stop eating it. Then we ordered to go for our parents the drunken chicken- which they scarfed up!!! I am a huge fan of Thai food. I came here on vacation and ate here. This truly is the best Thai food I have ever had. The flavor was amazing. Everything was delicious and I had the green curry with chicken. My kids had the gyoza and shared the curry. It was a large amount of food and really good prices. The restaurant is really attractive on the inside and clean. The service was amazing and asbolutly my compliments to the chef. I just wish we had one in Texas!! Ordered the cashew chicken, rice and pad thai combo. Perfect blending of spice, saltiness and sweetness. I was expecting the usual thick noodles for the pad thai. They were thin but they were still good and flavorful. Ordered for pick up and food was hot and ready as promised. Wow this place is absolutely delicious! Walking downtown Monroe I was worried about walking into this establishment as Monroe is not known as a GoTo place for Thai or Asian cuisine. But wow am I glad I did! The locals obviously like the food, tons of people were coming in to pick up to go orders. The restaurant was packed, everyone smiling, happy and plates of food kept coming from kitchen. So immediately I was thinking "Ok, this must be good!" And boy was it good. Very cute little restaurant with friendly service and great food. We have a lot of Thai places in Seattle so tend to be a bit picky but this place definitely met our expectations! The seafood red curry was excellent, as was the veggie stir fry with tofu. The selection of veg was great, and it was perfectly cooked. About the only thing I would say is that if you want spicy it's probably best to make it clear to the server. We ordered our usual 3 stars and it was a touch mild, but the waitress did offer to bring us something to spice it up, and the flavor was still excellent. So far I've read about the dated decor, which is probably on a comeback soon, and the amazing food! Our server seemed to know the dishes very good to where she described the flavors of the sauces for the dishes and how they go good together in certain ways. As others have experienced, our food was just as amazing as explained by other people's experiences. The duck was cooked perfectly to where you don't really notice the gamey flavor. The Best Thai Food we have ever experienced. My husband and I went into this place not expecting much (my last dining experience in Monroe was Geno'a ) But my goodness were we surprised! It was delicious. Super fresh ingredients. Very authentic flavors and super friendly service! We will make this a destination spot every time we are in the area! This is difficult to write as this is usually our favorite restaurant in Snohomish county for service, quality of food and flavors. Tonight was nothing like that. We were seated and then forgotten about as the girls were too busy chatting at the hostess desk. They took our drink orders upon seating and yet the people who came in after us were served first. After some time which is not normal, We received our food which is usually is beautifully presented looked terrible. The chicken pad Thai had no garnish so entire plate was brown and way too much sauce. My son's Panang curry at a 1 was too spicy to taste and also with no garnishes. Oh and I forgot they were out of their amazing Summer Rolls to start so we had the Gyoza which were fine. The food was not great and the service terrible. This restaurant is a true gem. My girlfriend said they haven't tasted anything like this since they were actually in Thailand. The flavors are perfect. You can tell this restaurant knows what they are doing. I've been to Thai restaurants all over the country from LA, NY, Dallas, Michigan, Florida, Seattle, etc. and this is by far the absolute best. The service was really good and the interior is super cute. We had the pad Thai, crab Rangoon, Avocado curry, street noodle, spicy mama, Sophia's veggie pho, and the hungry man fried rice. The servers here are so kind and helpful. I wasn't sure what to try today, but I knew I wanted something new to me. I was suggested the Phad Krapow and it did not disappoint! I got it with the minced pork and a level 5. It came with fried eggs on top, and that combination was a total delight. The staff was extremely polite when I arrived, everything was packed well and given to me hot. I ordered the Mongolian beef with rice. This was our third time eating here. We really enjoyed the food and service prior to our last visit. We went early around 3:30-4. All tables were dirty and we had to wait for one to be wiped down, after the waitress tried to seat us at a little table, when six booths were empty, but full of dirty dishes. Sat down and found the seats were soaking wet. The waitress went to ask cook about a dish and took her 10 min to return with answer, but she came back and asked if we wanted that dish. And we said, we don't know, we were waiting for you to return with the answer. She seemed annoyed.... Took a looong time to get a Corona and were surprised there was no cold glass or lime as we have had before while dining there. Food took forever, and when it came out we had one spoon to serve several dishes. ( one was not ready yet) BUT, we had to wait for dinner plates to serve it up. By the time the rice and last dish and plates came out food was Luke warm. Oh, and we were the only customers in there. So while we are eating, the waitress was taking her break, facing us basically staring at us unless she was laying down on the booth napping. Not a good impression and not sure we will be back. We came here on a Friday night just before the shut-down during the COVID-19 stay-at-home order. And, wow, are we glad about that. I'm sure their take-away is great too, but the service is something I'm looking forward to enjoying again once shops reopen - whenever that will be! I'm a wide-noodle FAN. So of course we had to get a couple noodle dishes. We did the Pad Ke Mao and the Street Noodles. We also got the garlic chicken, which was great, but ...um...the noodles. Let me say that the textures were perfect for the noodles. Gooey and chewy (not too chewy) and perfect. Full of crunchy veggies and spice level was ideal. We loved our night out at Thai on Main and will probably try take-away for a COVID-date-night out/in (meaning we'll just walk home with it). I am a food aficionado and love to try new places that makes me feel truly alive with its creativity and dedication when preparing its dishes. Since we moved to Monroe we have been giving a try to many of the local restaurants and for us it has been a blessing having found Thai On Main Street. For vegetarian like us, this restaurants offers many great options that they prepare with tofu or vegetables. Even dishes that normally they don't prepare with tofu, such as the Garlic Chicken, they started to make it for us and now it is a regular one in our weekly order (yes, you read it correctly, we basically order food from here on a weekly basis!!). During this pandemic era, Thai On Main Street has been a special blessing for us and I am pretty sure that for many others. Their service is great, they are very polite, and the food is very tasty and delicious. They are very accurate in our order, either when we picked it up or by delivery. Everything looks clean, from the place to the way they pack the food. I love spicy food, so, we typically order level 4 of 5, so, we are in our way to the top!! They are remodeling the place now and we are very happy for that. The only thing that we really miss from the menu is the curry puffs, but we are praying that they could come back to the menu at any point. For those locals, please make sure that you stop by Thai On Main Street and in addition to the satisfaction of supporting our local businesses you will get in return a fantastic Thai cuisine experience.
