Found this little hidden (literally) pho place in woodland! First off, it is a little hard to get to or see the storefront from the shopping center. You would need to park in front of the quest lab and continue to walk around the corner toward the street side where you will stumble across their sign outside. Price point for this day and age with a average pho bowl of $14 isn't bad considering they have a decent size and loads of meat! You can even add extra noodles for $1! Broth was flavorful. It's a order and take a seat type of place and they will bring out your order. All of our food came out quickly and they were nice to accommodate any extra bowls or such for the kiddies. It's not a big big place but enough to have our party of 6 just fine without any wait or anything at all which is awesome. Staff was pleasant and nice. Water was available for self serve as well. Visited on 2/13/26, I've been to Pho Namdo before but decided to write about my recent visit! I prefer their process of dining, you walk in, order, pay, then enjoy your meal without worrying about grabbing the server's attention for the bill. It's quite efficient and allows you to enjoy your meal at your own pace without pressure! Things are very casual and homey in the restaurant, it was relaxing to come by after work to enjoy a nice, hot bowl of chicken pho during the cold weather. Wow! This spot is really a hidden gem. I came by on a weekday afternoon for an early dinner. The restaurant is clean and has a relaxing atmosphere. You order at the counter and your food is brought to you by the employees, which is nice. Service was prompt and my food came out quickly. I got a bowl of pho and a Thai tea. The Thai tea was super creamy and refreshing, but the real star of the show is the pho. They load it up with a TON of meat and the broth is flavorful but light. The veggies taste super fresh and the noodles were a good texture, not too chewy. They also put a lot more pepper in the soup than expected, which helps to enhance the other flavors! I will say that the entrance can be hard to find, as it is on the Pioneer side of the building and does not face the parking lot. I'll definitely be back! read more

Most of the tables were taken but we were grateful to find a booth to sit in. I want to first mention that the Vietnamese Coffee was so good! My Vietnamese boyfriend said it tasted like how his mom makes it at home. We tried their spring rolls, banh mi, and pho. The spring rolls mostly had cabbage in it with shrimp which was alright but I probably wouldn't order again, I did like the sauce though! The banh mi was also okay, on the dry side but plenty of meat inside! As for the pho we got number one and I'd rate it a 7/10 overall with the size, broth flavor, and the noodles. This is my go to pho restaurant in the area. It's about a 15-20 minute drive from me but I don't mind since it's so yummy. My friend and I got #6 and #7 and they were both delicious. The food is always so fresh and they have fish sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, black pepper, salt, sugar, etc. which is rare for other pho restaurants in the area. Service is always friendly and they are very quick to clean up tables. The owner is also very sweet and friendly. I always recommend this place to anyone wanting pho! read more

What a find..... not an easy find!!! On my way to Vacaville from Paradise and needed to charge my car. While car was charging I started looking for places to eat. Go a craving for Pho and a his place was a 3 minute ride away. Once charge was done plugged address into GPS and was on my way. GPS brought me into a parking lot that had a nail salon, pizza place, yoga studio but no Pho Namdo. Turned around and slowly drove the store fronts again. No Pho Namdo. Thought it may have been closed and yelp hadn't been updated. Defeated I left the parking lot through a different exit, ending up behind the stores I had just drove by. Lo and behold there it was on the corner facing the street and not the parking lot. Worth the time it took me to find it. Order at the counter, take your number and have a seat. This is my absolute favorite pho spot in the Woodland/Davis area and I am so happy to support this amazing little mom & pop shop. I have already been to Pho Namdo quite a few times and every single time their pho is a hug in a bowl. This is the kind of pho that feels so homey and the kind of pho that I aspire to make (if I ever do try my hand at it). You can tell the amount of love that is poured into every single bowl. The entrance is a bit hard to find, but follow the mouth-watering smell of boiling broth and look for a tiny sign pointing to a tinted door, and you have arrived at Pho Namdo. I like that you order before you take a seat, and their prices are very reasonable. There is only one size but there is always plenty of meat in your bowl. There are plenty of options to choose from for your meat combos and several appetizers and drinks. Both the Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee are delicious. The herbs are fresh and I like to ask for extra limes to go with my bowl. The chili oil is spicy, so definitely add that if you enjoy adding spice to your pho! Service is always fast and attentive, and there is self-serve ice water at the soda machine. While the restaurant is small, it is cozy and because it is tucked away in the corner of the strip mall, it is a pretty quiet ambiance for you to enjoy your steaming, comforting bowl. I have already brought my husband and introduced some of my friends to Pho Namdo and they have all liked it immensely. Pho Namdo is easily in my top rotation of pho places to visit and I am looking forward to eating there again in 2025 (next year is already only a few days away, crazy)! read more

We all eat pho several times a month in San Francisco so we are a bit discerning when it comes to quality Vietnamese cuisine and this restaurant does not disappoint! Cleanliness is an issue here. I was more than halfway through my bowl of pho (#1 on the menu) when I found a nose hair or eyelash so that sucked. I noticed two employees there, the cashier/cook kept touching her face and phone and the other was sick and blowing her nose a lot. I couldn't use the spoons in the container at the table because they were coated with some yellow grime and didn't look clean. The pho itself was just alright, the broth is not as flavorful and some of the meats were too fatty. They dump a ton of green onions in there to help add flavor. You can hear them use a microwave as part of the cooking process. The Thai iced tea was also on the bland side. read more

I love this spot! Very casual, but I'm glad woodland finally had a really solid pho place! I got the brisket pho and it was. Great. The broth is perfect, the meat was great. My dad got one with tendon in it and he had never had pho with tendon so that was a little more difficult to chew than he was expecting. But he said the flavors were great. We also got the pork bao buns which were very solid. You order at the counter and then seat yourself. They bring the order to your table when it's ready. I've tried all 3 pho places in Davis and they're all pricey for what you get and the pho broth/ingredients aren't as good as Namdo or other places in Sacramento. Pho Namdo is legit. I visited the restaurant 3 times in one week--in my defense, I love pho when I'm feeling under the weather, so it is amazing to have a wonderful pho restaurant in town. My first visit I ate in. I was a little discouraged to see only one size, and indeed I wasn't able to finish the entire bowl because it was such a generous portion. The broth was clean and flavorful, and all of the aromatics were fresh. We also ordered the BBQ pork bao buns (a little small) and the dumplings which were totally fine--honestly, no wonder I didn't finish my soup! They didn't have many tables for larger groups, but patrons seem to come and go quickly, so you can wait for a bigger table. The dining area is small, so I imagine it may be hard to find a seat during a busy meal time. When I was feeling sick later in the week, I ordered chicken pho twice. I really wish they offered delivery, but I was luckily able to get help with pick-up because I felt too poorly to drive. The first order was packed perfectly and not a drop was spilled. The second, not so much. They're still new and probably working on perfecting their packing methods. I think putting the soup container into it's own tied plastic bag might help, or at least prevent the broth was soaking everything in the rest of the bag. As for the chicken pho, I loved the slightly black-peppery flavor and it was SO satisfying when I had my sore throat. I also love take-out pho because I can just make up a bowl the size of my appetite and save the rest. It's going to be a serious problem for my wallet when they start offering delivery. Just left from having a dinner date with my two little boys 5 and 3. Since the moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm smile from the woman in the kitchen. Amazing pho! Hard to find because gps takes you into this huge strip mall and you see all the businesses labeled but this one! You need to look and go to the far left and around the corner.
