We have dined here several times over the past two years and every meal has been fantastic. Though the setting is very pleasant and the staff are attentive and wonderfully polite, it is really the food that keeps this little restaurant on our minds when thinking of where to go for dinner. I saw a groupon for this restaurant. Great opportunity to try a new place. This restaurant is in the same plaza as Roxy theater. I had noticed this place before but was never enticed to try it. It always seems somewhat empty and Lonley. So we go in and there are several other customers eating. We are greeted and seated quickly. In glancing through the menu the prices are very reasonable. I ordered pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. My noodles were good. There was very little meat in my dish. 3-4 pieces of chicken and 2 shrimp. My BF ordered a seafood dish in gravy (don't remember the name) he said it was just ok I didn't taste it. There was more meat in his dish. Overall I was not impressed with the food I would return to try something else. I did a phone order at 7:22pm so my husband could pick the food up on his way home. They told me 20-30 mins and that was perfect because that's how long it would take him to get there. Upon his arrival at 7:50 he found a rude man who believed my husband to be a doordash driver and told him to sit down and wait 30 mins without even asking him a single question. The man insisted that my husband was with a delivery service until my husband clarified he was waiting for his own personal order that was ordered 30 mins prior and he was not going to wait an additional 30 mins. Well when he got home, our food was terrible. The wonton shrimp were not crispy and tasted like dough. The combination fried rice was not even fried. It was a starchy mess with very few pieces of meat. And the chicken pad Thai, well it was just over cooked noodles with like 5 pieces of meat. Will never go to this place again. Every item at this location is on average $5 more than how much it is at their Oxnard and Ventura locations. When asked why? Because they can, they answer. People in Camarillo can afford it, so we charge more. Other than that, the food is pretty good. I would not recommend coming the Camarillo locations, go to one of their other locations if you have to, save some bucks read more

I enjoyed the green curry. It was flavorful enough and just spicy enough to clear my sinuses. We shared a lunch entree, which split what would have been a suitable amount for one person into two perfectly sized curry snacks. Good was good! The service was less than ideal. The main server was entertaining a baby the whole time. She was touching his feet, holding him upright by his crotch, and then served us our dish. This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant. I even took my Thai friend and she loved it too!!! I love that they have some Peruvian items and also make the delicious green aji sauce which tastes great even with the thai dishes. There is no other place like it in the world. The service is always great and they really care about the food. Produce is always fresh and prepared daily. Some of my favorites are the Green and Yellow Curries and the Tallarin Verde. I'm just happy to see them open. So many other restaurants around town are closed for CV. Ordered the #8 lunch special, Panang pork. Called it in at 11 AM and it was ready 15 min later. Perfect. No wait at the window/door. I also saw there were several other pickup orders waiting. Note: The note on door says to wait outside but you are actually supposed to step inside the door to pay. I decided to try this place on a whim as a table for 1. I was promptly greeted by a friendly face. No wait! I asked a few questions about the menu but knew I wanted the Tom Yum Gai soup (my favorite!) It was flavorful & just the right amount of spice. No other way to describe "perfect." My experience was so good, that I had to take my husband back the same week. We had the Sizzling Spinach- sweet, savory, good portion size for an APP! We had the Tom Yum Gai (did not disappoint again!) We had the Yellow Curry ( I hate Curry but theirs made me a lover!) Light, potato, chicken and onion. I thought it was the best Curry I ever tried! Why the Thai / Peru mix? We asked... and the owner is both Thai and Peruvian! Duh! Also, although it seems very family oriented, the two sisters who served us made us feel like family. Just got back from dining that Thai Peru with my wife. This was our first time there, and we found it conveniently located next to the Roxy Theater. We started off with the fried squid with sweet chili sauce and Thai iced teas. The calamari had just the right consistency - chewy but not too much so - and the sauce was addictive. After polishing off the appetizer, we ordered the entrees. My wife went for the curry pineapple with shrimp while I opted for the seafood chili with mint specialty dish. My dish was nice and spicy and I added to this by loading up with hot peppers and sauces. I also had some of the pineapple curry and it was tasty too although it was on the opposite end of the spectrum being rich and sweet. The food, service, and ambiance were all outstanding. Because they also have a lot of Peruvian dishes on the menu, I felt like we just scratched the surface and will need to visit again to do it justice. There are currently Groupon and Social Living deals for Thai Peru, so it's definitely worth giving a try. I often find myself giving this place chance after chance, hoping it will one day redeem itself during my lunch hour, but it never does. :( Service is unimpressive and the food is even more disappointing. While the food is delicious, they deliver on schedule, and, in my experience, follow Covid-19 protocols, I would recommend not supporting this business. Both times I ate here, my credit card accounts reflected approximately $30 and $10 above the total I was given on the phone. I was not given a receipt for either delivery so I contacted the establishment and the owner texted me copies. After a few days, the charges were adjusted and reflected the amount on the texted receipts. Here are the issues I see: 1. In both of my experiences, I was not quoted the correct amount to be charged on my card. Thus I was led to expect a different amount to be applied. 2. In both of my experiences, I was not given a hardcopy of the receipt. Instead, I had to contact the business and have it sent to me. 3. The owner was ignorant of his own business practices when charging to credit cards. Instead of simply saying "Well, we add 15%, but the charges will reflect the appropriate amount in a few days." He seemed to be completely unaware that this is how his business responds to credit card transactions. The website for the credit card I used clearly stated that the restaurant adds the % in the end, NOT a the credit card company. Threatening to sue me was not the appropriate course of action. I found this little charmer of a restaurant near the Courtyard hotel in Camarillo. I thought it was an odd combination of two cultures, Thai and Peruvian. It turned out to be odd, two restaurants in one. But it game me a foodgasm, so my experience turn out just fine. I started with fried squid from the Thai side of the menu, It was delicate, almost like a light tempura batter covering perfectly cooked squid. The dipping sauce was sweet, but not overpowering. I chewed slowly and enjoyed every bite. I'm nibbling on the leftovers now. Yum. I slide over to the Peruvian side for arroz con pollo, which is essentially Latin style chicken fried rice. It is hard to get right. There are too many mothers out there who know how to do it right. They delivered the dish with Aji sauce, which is amazing. What followed was a deeply moving foodgasm. The first thing you notice is the decor. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and offers inside and outside dining. The staff is dressed in traditional Thai outfits and are nice and attentive. The food itself is extremely delicious and my usual, Pad Thai, has always been well done. For take-out, I appreciate that the peanuts, carrots, lemon, and bean sprouts are put on the side so I can add as much as I enjoy. Second dish: the noodles were still undercooked and chewy and the sauce was still too sweet even though there was less of it. They took it off my bill since I didn't eat it. First off I have been here twice before. To be fair I was using a Groupon so I have a discounted meal. Appetizer- Crispy Squid was prepared to order with peanuts on the side. This was a flavorless dish. We added salt and pepper and every last bit of sweet chili sauce. It tasted as though it was frozen and not really gussied up in any way. Entrees- the hubs ordered Sweet and Sour shrimp, which he thought was passable. I ordered Massamun Curry with Beef. The sauce was pretty good but the beef was really chewy. My hubbie thought this was the best of the three dishes, despite the fly that tried to eat it for me. The service was good, no complaints read more

Tried to make a reservation. First question from the guy on the phone was, "do you have a Groupon?" Which I replied yes he then says we're full. Told him I wasn't going to use it then tells me restaurant is full. I had just come out of the movie theater and was right outside. There were at least 8 open tables. Don't buy the Groupon and don't eat at a place where the customer service is bad over the phone. That's fantastic. It is true that 1 Star is is better than no star, but no star is not an option otherwise that is what you would have received. The sad truth is that you don't know what satisfactory customer service is because your restaurant was not full. I've never seen it full. I go to the movies once a week and Jimmy Johns has more clientele. At least they honor their Groupons. read more
