Had dinner here on Dec. 23rd with my dear friend. Every dish we tried was excellent, tasty and perfect. I loved the Popcorn Chicken. The Spicy Noodles with sauce was also vey good. Our server Ae was absolutely wonderful. She was excellent and gave us the best service ever. Seems like she was the only server at this location. Even as more people came in, Ae never stressed out. Ae was so polite and on top of everything. She remembered our requests and couldn't have been more helpful. Ae is a true credit to her profession, and a very hard worker. Horrible food! I had the business lunch which there are only 2 choices you can choose from but the amount of the pepper chicken was tiny and not tasty. My husband had some chicken a la carte (bbq chicken) and we were both disappointed. I felt sorry for the waitress though who seem to have to do everything without any help. We had dinner together before we leave He had the Combination Fried Rice,, he really enjoy it. I had the Pad see ewe..my favorite of course..I order the fresh Watermelon too to try Very good with crushed ice not overly sweet just perfect so refreshing too I need it after a hot day. Date: April 16, 2024 I love Thai food and I truly love this restaurant. I've been a fan of the pad Thai Tuesdays since I was in High school and prices are just 3.99$!! Now it's 6.99$ but that's still freaking amazing! They make sure you have enough food to eat too and don't shiest just bc it's a special price day. That's what I love about them. I can't remember in the past but usually when I come it's not too busy and service is amazing. They're so on top of refilling your water and making sure you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. They are great with kids and just made our experience that much better. Missed the Pad Thai Tuesday by a day! My coworker was in the mood for Thai comfort food (aka Pad Thai) and someone local to the area suggested we try Thai Purple. The restaurant is located on a main street and thankfully there's a parking structure behind it. We each ordered Pad Thai. Mine was ordered with no changes. However, when the chili fish sauce is added onto the rice, the whole fried rice changes: the chili fish sauce imbues a briny seafood umami to the dish. Every spoonful is like tasting the salt and savoriness of the sea. When ordering this dish, I recommend asking them for some extra chili fish sauce. Soup: Tom Kah Gai [Sour and Spicy Coconut Soup]: When it comes to Thai cuisine, the Tom Kah Gai is my favorite soup. At Thai Purple their Tom Kah Gai is one of the best I've ever had. The chicken pieces are tender, the soup is medium-bodied with a slightly creamy texture from the coconut milk. With each spoonful, the palate is filled with the aromatic taste of lemongrass and bay leaf. Drink: Thai black coffee [O Liang]: Usually, I don't take sugar with my black coffee but for Thai coffee, I will make an exception. I like the coffee's depth, and its notes of smokiness that's reminiscent of roasted corn and grains. Adding the inherent sugar to the mix, and it's just something that works well with me. Food is good. But service could improve. This is the second time they've messed up out order. This time they did not submit one of our dishes. By the time we asked where our food was, they took a while to figure out that the waitress Yin had in fact had not input one of our dishes. They had to return to ask for the order. And you'd think they would rush the order, but by the time the food arrived we simply asked for a to go box because everyone else was done eating. There was no apologies from anyone. This place doesn't look like much - especially if you're like us and entered from the back near the parking lot. When we entered, there was no one at the back entrance so we had to walk to the front to be seated. There are lots of seating options and the decorations set a nice vibe at the restaurant. If you can't find it, it's directly across from the theaters. You get a lot of food for your money. The pad Thai was quite delicious with the exception of the tofu. The tofu had a weird taste so I would suggest ordering it with a different protein choice or what I should have done - opt out of protein in general. Otherwise, the pad Thai was edible and there was a lot of food that came with it. This is a place to go if you want your moneys worth. Nothing really stood out but it wasn't terrible either. Thai Purple has their Tuesday special $6 pad thai. It was savory. The fried tofu was crispy but the dipping sauce may need improvement. It was slightly bland. It did not compliment the appetizer at all. We asked for some chili on the side to built up the flavor of the dipping sauce. They only had the chili sauce and flakes - no chopped chili pepper like before. As someone that loves spicy food, I wasn't able to increase the spice level to enjoy the meal. I've been coming here for years on their Pad Thai Tuesdays and love how it hasn't changed one bit! The price has increased, but where else can you find a dish for $6 these days? All the waitresses are in a bad mood, they don't smile, and they sometimes take a long time to take your order. If you come through the back entry, it stinks from the bathroom area down to the first few tables from the cashier section. And many areas throughout the place are cluttered with stuff they probably don't even use, including in the main entry, which is supposed to look nice. I only keep coming back for the delicious food.
