Their cold noodles are really tasty, and the Chinese hamburger is also delicious flavorful and satisfying. However, I found the portion of chicken in the big plate chicken to be a bit too small. The flavor was great, but I do hope they can improve on the portion size. The restaurant itself is small, but the service is friendly and attentive, which made the dining experience more enjoyable.

    10. Special hot chili oil noodle w/ pork and vegetables (noodles were mixed already lol)

We came on a Tuesday evening and it was quaint and empty but service was nice and welcoming. They answered our questions regarding to the certain dishes. Friend ordered the #10 spicy chili oil noodles with pork w/ vegetables and I ordered the #19 cumin lamb noodles. I enjoyed my dish's flavors, but I'm not fond with the noodles. It had a nice bite but not as chewy like these typical noodles would. As for my friend's dish, it's a bit bland and the cut of the noodles were a bit confusing (some are small, some are big where it's half cut). We felt bad that the noodles cuts were inconsistent and some of the noodles were thick which didn't soak in the flavors very well. I do like the value of this place so we'll give this place another chance again later on.

Decided to try this new place a couple of nights ago. Me and my friend try restaurants at least 3 times a week. So we are fairly picky. This place exceeded our expectations. It is really fantastic. Very family run. Very fresh and homemade food. I had there "# 1" dish, stewed chicken that had carrots potatoes peppers onions with homemade noodles. (The noodles were so good that I wanted more. They have a more noodle option. Next time I'll do that). The chicken is boned which honestly I usually don't like. But the quality of the chicken was so high that I was fine with the bones. The flavor of the dish was incredible. My friend had a chicken fried rice that was also excellent. The cucumber salad was good but pretty much the same as you get everywhere in SGV. Service was very friendly and as I said, literally a family husband wife w a little kid. All in all, a great experience. I'll be back soon. Highly recommended.

This is a hole in the wall restaurant in an unassuming plaza, but the food we ordered really hit the spot! We got the Xian Style Cold Noodle with Chili Oil, Beef Noodle Soup, and Spicy Dragon Roll. The cold noodle dish was delicious - had some mild heat and the tanginess was refreshing. We also enjoyed the beef noodle soup which was homey. We will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu!

Finally tried this hole-in-the-wall Chinese/sushi restaurant that I've been curious about! Employees speak Mandarin but I was able to order by pointing. The Xian Style Cold Noodle with Chili Oil and Cold Noodle Sesame Sauce were delicious - perfect noodle texture and a delightful sesame sauce with a hint of vinegar. The Salmon Lover and Pink Lady sushi, despite the slightly mushy rice, won me over with the quality and presentation. Located in an unassuming plaza, this spot did not disappoint. Will come back to explore more of their menu - a hidden delight in our neighborhood!

Tasty food. Friendly owner. Highly recommended! P.S. the noodles were so tasty that I forgot to take pictures at the beginning.

The chefs here are amazing, dedicated to quality! The stir-fried cabbage is amazing - absolutely order! I had to order a lamb burger too! Excellent soups too

We ordered noodles in soup with beef as well as pork. Pretty good. The pork hamburger and cumin beef hamburger are good, slightly pricey. We also ordered the sushi combo that comes with 1 special roll and an assortment of 6 nigiri (mix and match salmon, eel, or tuna). The salmon nigiri was fresh, and the rest of the sushi was good. The service was great. The waitress had good recommendations, as well as spoke mandarin, english, and cantonese. I ordered 2 salmon and 1 tuna in the combo, but the chef swapped 1 salmon for tuna by mistake. He apologized and gave me two more salmon nigiri, pretty generous and great attitude.

Service was great, seemed like there was only 2 guys working there the night we visited. Place smells crazy heavy is cumin! I would recommend the Chinese dishes, and just the nigiri. All the special rolls came with California roll base and I don't know how they mix the crab but it was not good. For me personally, it became inedible. Our favorite dish of the night was actually the most unexpected. Simple fried cabbage! So much umami taste and just enough mala. Deducted extra stars because the entire time we were eating, the men rotated smoke breaks constantly! It wasn't just disturbing how much they smoked but a bit disgusting to know they are handling our meal after smoking

We love this quaint place with the chef coming to greet and talk with us! He's so nice! Most of all, the food was so delicious! We had the spicy fried fish, which was fried super crispy, then cooked in the sichuan soup with tofu, spam (yay!), cilantro and other veg you can choose. Their pork bun was so yummy! The bun was the right thickness n the pork was super juicy, flavorful and tender. The beef noodle soup was good with a twist. Overall, it was a really good experience.

Yes, there's sushi and Chinese food at this restaurant. Don't expect authentic sushi but it honestly hits the spot. Generous portions here and the prices are good. Service was good although we were the only table. They served us loose leaf tea in a kettle so that was a nice touch. Parking was plentiful during dinner time (6-7ish). I think most of the other businesses in the plaza are already closed and this is the only place open. I think this is a great place if you have a sushi craving but also want a nice bowl of Chinese beef noodle soup. Haha. Overall, food is tasty and taste freshly made.

    Northwest Big Plate Chicken

This is a gem of a place. I had the Northwest Big Plate Kitchen, Beef roll and Xian style Liangpi, which was flavorful and superb. You could tell a lot of care went into the preparation. The decor is a little plain but the service is wonderfully warm and friendly. It's located in a quiet place but away from the super busy parts of Alhambra and easy to park. I look forward to coming back many times.

Ordered the potstickers, the spicy wontons, the beef noodle soup, and then jiajiang noodles. In order of preference, it is the spicy wontons, the jiajiang noodles, the potstickers, and then the beef noodle soup. What they got right with the spicy wontons was the sauce - spiced, kinda spicy, sour, and also sweet. I could use that sauce on everything. The jiajiang noodles was just a good combo of cool from the cucumbers and the noodles and minced meat were good. The beef noodle soup was fine but I think the soup could've packed a bigger punch. It felt almost watered down but I say the piece of beef were great. Overall, the meal came out to around $65 and it is pretty standard now but $13 for 8 wontons or 8 potstickers just feels a bit nuts still. Overall though, it was a solid meal and I'd recommend coming

This was my first visit to Mr. Dragon Noodle House…read more I stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night, and one thing became obvious almost immediately... This place is busy. The dining room was absolutely packed. Every table was full, people were waiting near the entrance for seats, and the energy inside was loud and lively. If you're looking for a bustling restaurant with lots of activity, you'll enjoy it. Personally... I'm more of a quiet-corner kind of diner. Unfortunately, I didn't find my usual quiet corner this time, but I managed to find a corner, and that was good enough. The restaurant has a modern Asian-inspired interior with black brick accents, warm wood furniture, hanging pendant lights, and a striking red geometric ceiling. It feels contemporary and spacious, although with a full dining room, it quickly becomes energetic and noisy. As soon as I walked in, a waiter handed me a menu along with an order slip to fill out while I waited for a table. It was efficient, but it also made the service feel less personal than I usually prefer. Once seated, everything moved very quickly. Considering how busy they were, I understand why, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being rushed through my meal. Now onto the food. Hot Tea ($2.00) Simple, warm, and exactly what I wanted on a busy evening. Xiao Long Bao (8) ($13.00) The dumplings arrived steaming hot filled with juicy pork and flavorful broth. They were the highlight of my meal. Spicy Beef Ramen ($16.00) Large chunks of beef sat in a rich, vibrant red broth alongside ramen noodles, vegetables, and a hard-boiled egg. The beef, however, was not as tender as it looked. Unfortunately, the broth was simply too spicy for my liking. The spice overwhelmed many of the other flavors, making it difficult for me to fully enjoy the dish. Subtotal: $31.00 Tax: $3.02 Total: $41.02, including tax and a $7.00 tip. Overall, the food was decent. The soup dumplings were the one dish that I enjoyed.
