Have visited this place multiple times the past few years. A real contender for some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Don't know how they do it. Very affordable too. Recently had the West Lake beef soup (adding extra white pepper to taste), spicy string beans, Mongolian beef, and fried chicken wings with pepper salt. Was astounding. Can't believe we've never been to this place for lunch and it's been here for such a long time. They offer lunch specials everyday from 10:30 am-5 pm and the prices range from $11.85 to $13.85 per dish. We ordered so many yummy dishes and a few lackluster ones. Our favorites were the orange chicken, beef with broccoli, and hot & sour soup. These dishes were very flavorful and had great "wok hey". The sautéed string beans were very salty, flat fish with pepper salt wasn't good, and the kung pao chicken wasn't as expected. Quick and good service. Food arrived very quick so we weren't hangry. This will be my 2nd time here and the service is always great! They opened at 10:30 so I was there right on the dot lol! I ordered option 1 which comes with egg flower soup, 2 egg rolls, steam rice, fried chicken & beef w/broccoli, I did add chicken fried rice on the side just to try it. Came for a cousin's birthday and food was great, service was amazing, good ambiance and very accommodating regardless of our party being huge. I guess the only thing i didn't like was how you had to go outside to use the restroom, and the mirrors there had weird circle dents/burn marks (?). Other than that it was amazing. I think they are just so efficient with the many orders they have, i can imagine they are not happy if i disrupt their flow. The chicken fried rice is really nice. You can eat it on it's own, and yet not too salty that you can't eat it as sides to one of the entrées. Beef chop suey is cooked with brown sauce. They are cooked perfectly and for a lunch menu, both have quite a big portion. It's not obscene big like those viral chinese fast food joints, but it's good enough for two. I decided to try this place for Shanghainese dim sum. I used to come years ago. At 1 pm, it was mostly empty. Eggrolls were dripping with oil and barely had vegetable filling. Better to get frozen ones at Dim Sin World. Xiao Lund Bao was acceptable and tasted like one. Side Roll馒頭 fried was just ok when it should have been delicious at most places. It was just a bun here. Steamed sole was quite tasty and went along well with their white rice which looked Grey and lumpy. I guess I get what I paid for.
