Noodle bowls here are so yummy and affordable for a quick meal! The noodles are chewy and just the right amount of meat pieces. I ordered the green onion pancake and while it was good I wish it just had green onion in it instead of the added basil.

We were doing an event at the theatre, so needed to find a fast spot for dinner and decided to try here. Pleasant surprise! The menu had enough items for everyone to pick something, and the food was tastier than expected. We were seated and then someone stopped by to take our order, but because of limited staffing, it was a tad slower than we expected. The veggie roll was good and the beef fried noodles were better than they looked; the sliced marinated beef threw me off, but they were surprisingly tender and the overall dish was much better than I was expecting. Ambiance is just your normal fast casual spot, but was clean. Plenty of parking downstairs!

Great spot for noodles! They are Lanzhou style with 7 different varieties to choose from! This restaurant is located in Atlantic Times Square. There is underground parking that can be accessed on Atlantic or Hellman. If entering from Atlantic, take the upstairs ramp. The restaurant is very close to AMC. (You can park downstairs, but you will need to find the stairs to walk up.) I do like the N2 braised beef noodle soup, N5 lamb noodle soup, and N4 spicy beef noodle soup. I love the flat noodles! I tried the beef rolls $12.99, but it's such a small portion. The ones at 101 Noodle Express are better (and they have a good green sauce too). Service is good. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. Bathroom is available in the back.

Ambiance: it's a noodle place at the Atlantic Times Square plaza in Monterey park, conveniently located close to freeway with large shared underground parking lot Service: very friendly and fast, served the noodle adequately after placing three order Food: variety choices of noodles, seven types to choose from House Special Beef Noodle Soup - **** medium spicy level and chewy thin noodles, tasty good with vinegar Price: generous portions and affordable prices, about $20 per person

This place wasn't too busy when we went, though it seemed like the whole mall was pretty empty lately. The server only spoke chinese. The place was clean and decent amount of seating. Food came out super fast and very flavorful! I got the fried bean sauce with ground pork noodles and loved it. My bf got the stir fried beef with tomato noodles and was very pleased. The cucumber salad was decent though needed more garlic. All very well priced.

I was in the area and was in the mood for noodles and decided to drop by and try their noodles. I picked the Chef's Special Spicy Beef Noodles and was very pleased. Its delicious! The spicy level is perfect, broth on point and the beef was delicious too. I wish they turned the AC on but whatever, the food was great. I'll still return. I want to try some more dishes. The Braised Baby Rib looks good and I think I want to have that next time.

i ordered the house special beef soup, service was really quick & efficient! all our meals came out within 5 mins of ordering. a little restaurant in the plaza. i got the spicy version & thin noodles! i loved the texture of the noodles, it was perfectly bouncy. i feel that they couldve added more meat to the dish overall since the noodle to meat ratio was large. flavoring was yummy tho & soup was hearty overall. side note: the water they served tasted like tap so i didnt really want to satiate my thirst with it.

solid 3.5 stars. food: pretty good! however, in all of the dishes my family ordered, it lacked protein/meat. my favorite was the fried noodle with beef. service: super quick! and there was a LOT of noodle ambiance: a homey authentic vibe to it!

Best beef noodles soup in town. The n4 it's the chefs special and it's apparently flavorful rich in broth and delicious, has a little, actually a strong kick to it. Pretty dang spicy but it's a great comfort food.

I went again. Tonight, the broth is good. I finished the whole bowl. I will go back again.

-Tasty chewy hand pulled noodles, broth was nice and clean and fulfilling -decently priced, not too expensive -not the cleanest place but not dirty either

I really like 1919 Noodle Express in Atlantic Times Square in Monterey Park, CA. I had a movie to catch at 8:15 p.m., so my friend and I decided to give this place a try since the Hong Kong Cafe had a bit of a waitlist and line. We ordered the panfried green onion pancake, which was one of the best pancakes I've ever had, LOL! We also ordered the beef roll wrap, which was good, not bad. Then we ordered the BiangBiang Noodle with the Chili Oil Topping, and it was really good, too. Overall, I was very happy with the food and service. I really like the food; I recommend this place!

5/5 -- Authentic comfort in a bowl I ordered the braised beef noodle soup from 1919 Noodles, and it completely hit the spot. The broth was rich and deeply flavorful -- you can tell it's been simmered for hours, packed with layers of beef, soy, and aromatic spices. The noodles had that perfect chewy bite, soaking up just enough of the broth without getting soggy. The beef itself was incredibly tender -- melt-in-your-mouth texture with that slight gelatinous richness from the brisket cuts. Every bite had this comforting, home-cooked feel, yet it tasted like something you'd get at a top-tier noodle house in Taipei. Portion size was generous, presentation was clean, and the pickled mustard greens on top added just the right amount of tang to balance the savory broth. If you're into authentic Taiwanese-style noodles or just craving something cozy and satisfying, this dish is an easy 10/10.

For appetizers we ordered the Takoyaki, chicken karage and our main dishes Deluxe Tsukemen x3. The Break down: Atmosphere: 4/5 They greet you as you walk in, which I sets the vibe. You're welcomed into a cozy apace that has some decorative elements even to the music choice. Reminds me of our trip to japan, which I MISS SO MUCH! The Food Takoyaki: $8.95. 4/5 Stars. - Comes in 5pcs with sauce and bonito flakes. I liked how the outside was a bit crunchy and inside was fluffy! Karage: $8.95. 5/5 Stars - Comes in 5pcs. The sauce was tangy sweet kind of like teriyaki sauce. It was crispy but still so juicy and soft. HANDS DOWN GET THIS! Loved it so much I could have a whole bowl Tsukemen: $22.45. 5/5Stars - If you aren't familiar with this, the broth is separate from the noodles. Its a different way of experiencing noodles. The broth is thick, creamy and flavor profile is on point. Inside of the broth there is mushrooms and pcs of pork. The noodles are cooked perfectly and also comes with pcs of nori, soft boiled jammy eggs and 4 pcs of thick chashu. Portion size lets just say they are generous and we all can EAT ^^, Kakigori (MATCHA) $8/$14. 5/5 Stars - Definite MUST! Its made with Japanese shaved ice, a very creamy soft cream matcha sauce and matcha powder! I cant tell you how good this dessert is. The wife is obsessed and one if the main reasons why we found this spot in the first place. Please try! Service: - Super friendly staff! They are quick to get our order and serve our meal. I asked for more limes for my noodles 2x and both times they were quick. Made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us on a regular, which also reminded us of the service Japan showed us once upon a time. Overall: We love this place and we keep coming back with new people to share this type of noodle experience. Check them out im sure you will enjoy it. Lets just say we drove an hour to eat this. You def will not be disappointed :)

The…read moreother two ordered tsukemen ($26.50 for the spicy deluxe and $23.50 for the spicy chasu) and found it very salty because they chose to consume it not by dipping the noodles in the bowl of broth, but rather by pouring all the broth from the bowl into the noodles, trying to recreate a normal bowl of ramen. I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

Your tips are included, which is pretty high at 17% but at least they give you a disclaimer before you order and also on the menu. It is also a cashless establishment which really is no problem. I really like that. They have a little button on the table that you can call for service at any time so you don't have to hunt down for help. The combo is a pretty good option to get if you're eating alone or want some leftovers to take home or have a very small eating partner with you. We got the Shoyu and Salmon Poke bowl. All very decent size and tastes exceptional. The mochi dessert was pretty bland. I'm not sure if the ice cream is old, but it has a freezer taste to it, and the cheesecake is pretty standard. For $4.50 I think it's a bit pricey for the quality, but if you want something sweet to end, it's doable. Really great service and it does get filled up. The drinks were super tart, tangy, sweet, and concentrated. The yuzuade was like a minty strong lemonade and the pina colada kinda reminded me of a yogurt drink and was was super pineappley and creamy with a sprinkle of nutmeg. Wasn't getting any coconut flaves tho. The cucumber salad was pretty much thinly sliced cucumbers coated in Furikake with some stringy imitation crab. The gua boas tho--pillowy fluffy slightly sweet super soft buns with sweet fatty melt in your mouth meat and crunchy pickled onions? MNM. The curry rice was massive and filling. The cold noodles came with a boiled egg, some cooked spinach, roasty fatty cha shao, crunchy bean sprouts and bamboo, and springy qq noodles that soaked up the refreshing, not really spicy, sesame oily sauce you dip it in. The tonkatsu ramen wasn't kinda salty, heavy, and oily. The vegan ramen had a savory garlicky not spicy or too heavy broth, bitter arugala, ground soy meat, tofu, bean sprouts, fried broccoli, and some corn bits. If you want some more of a kick in things their garlicky chili spicy sauce is good. Service is nice and portions are lowkey pretty good. But the food overall for me eh. It did not disappoint. I went when they opened at 11:00 on a Sunday morning. The door was open with a sign saying to come inside and be seated. The space is pleasant. I love the black and yellow color scheme. The big black and white portrait of James Dean is cool. There is a choice of seating ~ two different counters, tables, booths, and outdoor tables. Suits every mood. I sat in a booth, which was comfy. I decided to order the Blaze Ramen combo, medium hot with chashu and added bamboo shoots, and a 4-piece chicken karaage appetizer. I had ordered that before on Uber Eats and knew that I liked it. I loved the way the chili paste for the broth was set on top of the pork. I decided to use half of it at first and test how spicy it was. When I realized how good the flavor was and how on pointe the spice level was, I added it all to the broth. The chashu was thick and tender. The noodles were perfectly al dente. The only miss was the bamboo shoots. Fortunately they were on the side. They were oily and kind of musty tasting, not at all like the slightly crispy, umami, salty ones I've had before (even from there). *they kindly took the bamboo shoots off the bill I love the shape of the bowls AND the ramen ladles that the ramen is served with. At first I thought they were weird, but they are perfect. I want one! The napkins are thick and the disposable chopsticks are more than adequate. All in all it was a successful trip. I'll be back. *sorry, no photos, I dug in quickly

Big fan of their happy hour since you get 30% off and you just have to order before it ends at 3pm. We happened to go during one of the world cup games and they had it playing on all their TVs which was a nice surprise. This was plenty of food for 4 people and we were pretty stuffed by the end. Overall food wasn't necessarily 5/5 for me but the experience and prices are def worth a return to this spot for me Spicy tuna crispy rice: 5/5 I liked that there were toppings besides just tuna and the rice was crispy and hot when I ate it Chicken karaage: 4/5 liked this a lot, especially whatever sauce came with it. I did think there was a little too much batter for my personal preference though Truffle seared salmon roll: 3/5 not bad but I don't love seared fish in general Black spider roll: 3/5 I didn't love the crab and there was just a little too much eel sauce for me but my friends liked it a lot Ceviche rainbow roll: 5/5 wasn't sure how I felt about this combo after seeing it on the menu but I thought it worked surprisingly well. Would def recommend Rainbow roll: 4/5 nothing crazy but I liked it

The crab rolls were basically a California roll with crab swapped in, no toppings, no sauce, nothing special. Ramen was decent, generous noodles, two pieces of pork, but pretty basic. Not sure if ownership or management changed since my last visit, but compared to my previous review, a lot feels different, makes me wonder if the food quality shifted too.
