This is our favorite Thai place in Clearwater. Thai run, the food is delicious with a wonderful assortment of curries - - we tried them all. Several great noodle dishes including pad kee mao and pad see ew. Sure Siri loved spelling those. The desserts are amazing - - we love the hot tar oh and they make a cold black rice dessert that unbelievable as well. Spring rolls are delicious too. There are a number of other Thai specialties that I've had nowhere else. Vegetarian friendly, you can get almost anything with tofu or vegetable. read more

Holy Amazing Sauce, Batman! Shrimp and chicken amazing sauce over crisp broccoli was the best I've ever had. The heart shaped jasmine rice was attractive and delicious. There were annoying fruit flies flying around but it didn't beat the outrageous food flavors and service. The potstickers and sauce were a wonderful appetizer as well. House merlot was good. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! The worst meal ever. We ordered the pad thai and as soon as they brought it over the odor from the meal was down right disgusting. It smelled like a wet dog and tasted the same. I returned mine after one bite because I could not stomach the smell which tasted the same way. Made me wonder why there were so many nats flying around. I went ahead and ordered something plain, white rice, and they still charged me for the meal that I didn't eat and charged me for the white rice as well. This is my go to Asian all around. I won't even order from any other places anymore. My absolute favorite dish they have is the Drunken Noodles. It's simple. Great noodles, crisp veggies, lots of chicken, and It has a light sauce that is packed with flavor. I always get the spice on the side so I can make it as hot as I want it. One thing I love about this place is consistency. Everything is always made the exact same every time. If you haven't already gone, then you need to put that on your calendar. Disappointed..had drunken noodles and egg roll. Drunken noodles had pretty generous amount of vegetables which I always like. BUT noodles were all choppy and very little amount. Specifically requested medium spicy but tasted like not even mild. :( Half of the egg rolls were burned and clear noodles inside were visible and turned black. I'm visiting from out of town and was I supposed to let them know of this? Because I didn't get any utensil nor napkin. Had to go down to my hotel lounge for a fork and napkin. Our favorite restaurant in Tampa Bay. Always consistent, fresh ingredients, friendly staff, intimate atmosphere. My only complaint would be that on weekends it's sometimes crowded, since the place is so small. But it seems like the wait is never more than a few minutes. Thai Spice has been reviewed in the St. Pete Times and Tampa Bay magazine, earning "Best Of" in both publications for a couple of years. One of our favorite Safety Harbor restaurants. Great food. Great staff and service. Always welcoming. We love the drunken noodles and the Panang chicken. Also the best fried rice we've ever had. Nice and small place. Had the red curry, which was only ok. I ordered it as medium because of previous experiences at other Thai restaurants medium is usually hot enough but won't make me sweat. Might be the best Thai in the bay area. Excellent curries, in particular the green, red and panang curries are all excellent. Creamy with the perfect amount of spice and nice subtle flavor undertones such as basil, lemongrass, etc. Small, cozy location and good service. I waited over 30 minutes tonight for my take out order and finally had to request a refund! I had been told on the phone that the order would be ready in 15 minutes. When I got there--with my 5 year old in tow and 2 dogs in the car 20 minutes later I assumed it would be ready. They took my payment and said it would be right out. After waiting 20 MORE minutes I told them I needed a refund since my dogs were in the car and they again told me it would be right out. I told them it had been over 30 minutes why did they tell me 15 on the phone and the cashier's reply was that she was not a chef so had no idea how long it would take! (REALLY?) They processes my refund which took them an additional 5 minutes and I'd like to note my food was STILL not out when I left. I do NOT recommend and will not be going back. read more

This was my go-to thai place for convenience when I lived nearby. Very small inside, but attentive service and fair prices. Also, important to note: The decor is trendier and more modern than most Thai places, so it's probably a good place for dates if you want something with a decent vibe. As for the food, the curries are outstanding, although the Pad Thai is just above-average. Takeout is always on-time and well packaged. I'd still give a slight edge to nearby Amarit, but it's a close call. read more

Best Thai I've had in Pinellas county! Super friendly, timely service, large portions, excellent flavors, average dinner prices-- great lunch specials. I've never been disappointed here. Their chicken panaeng curry is heavenly and you can tailor the heat to your liking. The dining room has a nice aesthetic, but it's a little cramped. They have some outside tables if that's more up your alley, but the plaza they're located in is pretty rundown/not the best dining environment. read more

This review is based off a To-Go order, so it's not quite all there. The order only took 15 minutes, so promptness is good. However, an order for 2 entrees and one appetizer came out to a little over $30. I guess since this place is renovated, they have to charge a bit more . Quality of the food was decent, the curry chicken was nice and spicy. The pad thai was OK, had better. The curry puff was good though. I guess if your itching to go out and have thai, this place will do it for you. But, come during lunch hour if your not up to spending a lot of money. read more

My husband and I love to come here sit in and eat. The Girls are so sweet and very professional . I sometimes order for pickup for myself, when my husband is out of town. The service is great and by far, THE BEST, Thai food in the area. I've tried other Thai restaurants in the Palm Harbor / Clearwater and none of them are as great as Thai Spice! We've had pad thai from here twice. It's consistent in quality and taste, you get a good amount of it and a good amount of shrimp! It is above average in taste, but not addictive like the pad thai we've enjoyed in Maine. It doesn't have much of a peanut taste, if that matters to you. Mild spicy is pretty spicy...so go mild your first time is my suggestion. read more

I've Thai food in most metropolitan cities across the U.S. Thai Spice ranks near the top. Prices are very reasoble, especially for the portions you'll get. My wife had the spiced scallops. It's a MUST try for Thai food lovers. The scallops were huge and tender with prodigious portions with an incredibly delicious spiced chili sauce . I had yellow chicken curry which, for $10.95, has the most generous portions of meat I've had in that dish. The decor is tasteful and tables and settings are classy. My comfort gage for a restaurant is the bathroom, which was spotless. This is a dining experience that will have you coming back to try other dishes from their Specialty menu. To top it all off, the service is terrific and your glass will always be full and dishes promptly cleared off your white - clothed table. read more

Only reason I don't rate Thai Spice 5 stars is because I have eaten at better Thai Restaurants. That being said, I think Thai Spice is the best in the area. I have tried several in Clearwater/Palm Harbor/Dunedin area and I'm always dissapointed. Thai Spice is my go to Thai restaurant and we probably eat here at least 2 times a month. After living in many other urban areas where there exists a large asian population, I do admit that my standards of asian food in general is much higher. Even so, I found the food at Thai Spice to be disgusting. It was ill-prepared, barely seasoned, lacked any dimension and robustness. And was essentially inedible. The drunken noodles didn't even appear to be rice noodles (more like egg noodles) and seem to have a small amount of soy size drizzled on top. There were very few vegetables, and the entire dish seemed to be pasted together by the starch of the noodles. I literally brought it home and threw it away. The other dishes we ordered barely seemed to even resemble other thai dishes I have experienced before. I will not be returning. read more
